115th Edition Hot Springs, AR, is once again the place to be for attorneys and judges June 12-15. The Arkansas Bar Association and Arkansas Judicial Council will hold its Joint Meeting over four days filled with continuing legal education, receptions, award ceremonies, and entertainment. The meetings take place at the Hot Springs Convention Center with some afternoon receptions at the Arlington Hotel. In addition to the exceptional line-up of speakers and topics, Governor Mike Beebe, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, and Supreme Court Chief Justice Jim Hannah will each speak on important issues facing the legal profession this year, including updates from the 2013 legislative session. BRIAN M. CLARY Doers of Justice, Welcome! I am excited that you have chosen to join us for the 115th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Bar Association. For more than a century, attorneys from across Arkansas have gathered to share ideas, discuss the status of the profession, and enjoy the company of their peers. Over the next four days, a number of CLE topics will be presented by practitioners working on the leading edges of their fields. Jose Baez will

share his insights into the defense of Casey Anthony and Dallas attorney Talmage Boston will speak about the important role attorneys play in our society. A panel of experts discuss the need for diversity and equality of opportunity. This year, I am especially pleased that the Lawyers Assisting Military Personnel Committee will present four hours of continuing legal education. Over the past year, the Association has strived to meet the growing legal demands of our veterans. Three hours of the veteran-related programming meets the CLE requirements for attorneys accredited to appear before Veteran Administration boards and panels. 3 Easy Ways to Register

Licensed attorneys cannot attend as guests and must register using the regular meeting registration above. Lunch tickets are provided for each registrant. There is no children’s program this year. If you would like your children to attend lunch, we recommend registering them as a guest. Each registrant receives one ticket per day (Wednesday - Friday) for lunch. Additional tickets can be purchased with registration or at the door.

CANCELLATIONS: Full refunds, less a $50 administrative charge, will be given to registrants whose cancellation is received at least two weeks before the program begins. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after two weeks prior to program start. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you will receive the electronic course materials only upon request.

Payment Information: Acceptable forms of payment include cash, money orders, checks and credit cards. Cash: Do not mail cash. Cash may be used only for in-person submittals. Checks: Please note that we will not accept checks that do not have an imprinted or preprinted name or address of the account holder on the check.
