Arkansas Bar Association 124th Annual Meeting Joint Meeting with the Arkansas Judicial Council View agenda and register For 124 years, the members of this Association have traveled to Get Together in the company of others who chose a life in the law. In 2022, good fellowship for a couple of summer days, amid the magnolias flowering on Central Avenue, is just the restorative tonic we need. Get Together and visit the exhibitors in the new exhibit hall in the Grand Lobby as well as a few sponsor booths outside of Horner Hall. Get Together in the plenary session and hear from Tom Goldstein, one of the country’s most experienced Supreme Court practitioners, co-founder and publisher of SCOTUSblog—the only blog to ever receive the Peabody Award. What changes will the newest Justice bring to the Court? Join us to find out. The Family Law Get Together will be Wednesday with caselaw updates, including the revised child support calculation methods. Program Planner Brooke-Augusta Ware brings in the experts to tackle the big issues in domestic relations. BXS Insurance presents a threehour CLE progam that counts toward

the four total hours necessary to qualify for a 10% credit on your professional liability insurance through BXS Insurance. Get Together Wednesday afternoon for a Presidents’ Leadership Welcome Reception to honor presidents of the Association, Bar Foundation and Judicial Council. The Association, in partnership with the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), presents Masters in Trial on Thursday. Celebrate the 7th Amendment with the most experienced trial lawyers in the country as they break down the elements of the Jury Trial. This year, the bench and the bar Get Together to bring you renowned constitutional scholar Randy Barnett, who will analyze the origins and original meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. Then, Get Together for an afternoon tea break with the judges. Get Together with everyone at one of the favorite events of the week—the Friday Firm’s reception on Thursday afternoon. We are grateful to the firm for sponsoring this time-honored

event. Stroll over to the Hot Springs’ Bridge Street LIVE! event with food and live music before heading to the hospitality lounge. New this year, we Get Together to wind down in the lounge area outside of Horner Hall. Save time Friday morning to learn from powerhouse constitutional law and theory Professor Neil Siegel of Duke. Chief Justice Dan Kemp will update the Bar on the State of the Judiciary during lunch. Get Together to hear from the legislature on Friday. The Fourth Estate will be on hand to advise as to the role of the free press in Title IX litigation as well as whether or not sunshine laws still shine in Arkansas. Let’s Get Together!
