Welcome to the Urban Jungle

Go wild! Our party muse was turning three and we wanted something reflective of her personality, as well as a little retro and cool.

Enter the Urban Jungle! The inspiration for the party was the popular party animals theme, with Central Park Zoo and a touch of 80's and 90's style neon design elements thrown in for good measure!

Four bright colours (embellished with a hint of silver) were decided upon and were used to give some of the animals a bright makeover. The main animals featured were elephants, zebras, tigers, leopards and cheetahs.

The bright animal patterns were used throughout the dessert table and other elements of the signage. In the final set up there was a mix of standard animals with bright hats and accessories, as well as animals with the neon prints.

Another defining design element was the name logo, designed using the same bright colours with a little bit of Memphis inspiration (reflective

of popular 80's and 90's fashion).

White brick wall backdrops were added for abit of fun and to match the invite, which also featured a NYC inspired street sign that said 'Zoo St.', and grafitti style text that said 'Party Animals'.

For an extra bit of fun, we also used some animal shaped dessert walls, which added to the effect at the dessert bar of animals walking through the urban zoo landscape.

In addition to face painting and games, there was also a colour-in table top, which matched the theme perfectly. Matching props were also set up for the selfie booth.

Finally, for the main attraction, the animals were placed around a faux jungle setting, with the city skyline in the background, just as you would see in any city zoo. Wrought iron gates finished off the look.

The birthday girl stood in awe admiring it on the day, captured brilliantly by ZOOM Images.
