Dear Friend,

Daily, I try to open myself to differing views. I think the importance lies not in which view is right or wrong, but in using the information to create my own truth. With knowledge comes enlightenment. I do not believe in being against anything; rather, I choose to be for what I believe. How can we decide what we’re truly for if we don’t know the options? There is much disagreement when it comes to religious beliefs. In my view there are three choices: the male God, loving yet judgmental; the Goddess, loving mother; or the way of “the Tao,” that of a genderless supreme entity as pure energy. In Gospel of the Goddess, William Bond and Pamela Suffiel say of the Tao, “The trouble with this idea is that human beings find it difficult to grasp what the Tao is really like. It is ever mysterious, and beyond the comprehension of our limited minds. We seem to need an image that we can relate to, that we can understand in human terms.” To define what one is for takes knowledge and courage. Christian Baldwin, author of Life’s Companion: Journal Writing as a Spiritual Quest says, “To define what we’re for also requires specificity — clarifying the piece of the vision we assume as our responsibility.” My desire is to always have the opportunity to reflect and see the possibilities. Questioning my faith, opening myself to new points of view, allows me to pose questions so that I might have a new or different response. My desires and beliefs draw me as a magnet toward the reality that rings true for me. Find and create your own truth. What you believe is right is right — for this time—and perhaps for all time. I hope you enjoy this special issue on metaphysics — and the questions they may invoke.

DISCOVERING YOUR SOUL SIGNATURE A 33-Day Path to Purpose, Passion, and Joy By Panache Desai; A Spiegel & Grau Hardcover published April 29, 2014 How do you cope when facing family conflict, faltering relationships, old trauma, life-threatening illness, obsessive thinking, and inevitable loss? If you’re like most people, chances are you react with fear and confusion, falling back on timeworn strategies: anger, self-judgment, striving and addictive behaviors. Though these old, conditioned attempts to control our life may offer a quick fix, they ultimately leave us feeling isolated, unsatisfied, sad, fearful, and confused. But according to Panache Desai, there is another way. Desai—a contemporary thought leader who has appeared on Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey— calls on us to harness the power of our authentic selves. It is through acceptance of ourselves and recognition of our unique soul signature, he says, that we can surmount life’s challenges and live a life of meaning. In his first book, DISCOVERING YOUR SOUL SIGNATURE (A Spiegel & Grau Hardcover to be published April 29, 2014), he gives readers a day-by-day spiritual roadmap to confront negative emotions and reactions, and most importantly, a way to unlock our sense of self-worth, well-being, and purpose: our unique soul signature. Desai knows how difficult this road can be, and he opens DISCOVERING YOUR SOUL SIGNATURE with his own struggles and journey. Through his book, he invites readers on a 33-day path of meditations— distilled, poetic passages to be read at morning, noon, and night that are designed to dismantle the emotional blocks that hold us back and open us up to changing our lives. In this practical and inspiring course, he invites us to live a life of authenticity, to rediscover joy and passion, and to believe from our soul in the possibility of all things. In this hectic world where we long for true connection, DISCOVERING YOUR SOUL SIGNATURE is an essential guide to help us determine who we are and who we want to be. Journey to Wholeness—by Jude LaClaire, Ph.D. Imagine!

T

he song, “Imagine” by John Lennon i n s p i r e s thoughts of peace and harmony in our world. I invite you to imagine peace and harmony in the inner world of your body-mind. Bellaruth Naparstek tells us “Guided imagery is a gentle but powerful technique that focuses and directs the imagination.” Having studied and used various forms of imagery and dream work over the past 40 years, I can attest to the efficacy of this approach. The popular term for many years was ‘visualization’ or ‘mental imagery.’ This is misleading as guided imagery involves far more than the visual sense. For this reason I have always called it multisensory imagery. This is a good thing as only about 55 percent of the population is strongly wired visually. Some people are more kinesthetic or auditory. The involvement of the mind, body and all of the senses and emotions creates a holistic synergy for change.

Research over the past 25 years has continued to establish the positive impact of guided imagery on health, creativity and performance. The Winter Olympics in Sochi illustrated this. The Canadian team brought eight sports psychologists to Sochi. The Norwegians came with three and the US brought nine sports psychologists. Athletes use imagery scripts for their performance, interviews and any aspect of the competitive process. Whether it is learning better ways to jump higher, ski faster, be more creative or break the cycle of negativity, the athletes use imagery as a daily practice. My work with people of all ages includes the use of imagery for relaxation, stress and pain reduction, and the release of trauma. The power of imagery is that it mobilizes unconscious and preconscious processes so that we can make conscious choices. The experiences from conception to seven years old are embedded in the reptilian and limbic brain systems. We are, very literally, in a trance until the frontal cortex begins to develop at about seven years old. Expe-

riencing the sensory and emotional limbic system through words, images and metaphors, helps us to re-frame trauma, releasing the emotional and physical pain of experiences that have no context or conscious memory. We are literally re -building the brain by creating new neural pathways. In my Life Weaving Education Curriculum I created 11 guided imagery experiences (CDs) including the “Tree Imagery,” “Safe Place” and “Animal Ally.” A person is guided to breathe, relax and take an inner journey. This enables people to connect with the unconscious self and create helpful, safe places for problem solving and healing. I find that pe0ple of all ages can quickly connect with that inner Self and begin a process of creating ways to work with pain and negativity. I also teach Dr. John Leonard’s Neurobehavioral Programs which give people a tool for reducing stress, negative emotions, pain and releasing trauma. EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) created by Dr. Francine Shapiro is a widely used and suc-

cessful trauma reduction program that includes guided imagery. There are many excellent guided imagery CDs on the web. One of my favorites is Bellaruth Naparstek at www.healthjourneys.com. She is also author of CDs and books on the healing aspects of guided imagery. You can do it. Try channeling that natural tendency to ‘imagine’ and create the neural pathways of your choice — consciously! Jude LaClaire, Ph.D., LCPC, LCSW is a counselor, educator and author. Wisdom Within—by Suzette Scholtes Trusting Your Intuition

To trust your intuition, lift your confidence and keep your selfesteem high,” said Julie Farha, author of Tangible Intuition in a recent phone interview. “It takes courage to recognize your own truth. Did you know intuition is communication with source?” Farha, who presents a workshop here May 3 at the Yoga School, says that one feels a response in the chest, solar plexus, the gut or kinetically through the whole body. She teaches that one can always master the yes/no technique. Here you take a deep breath or two and touch your heart center with your left middle finger. Then pose your question pro and con and you will sense a lightness in your heart and finger on the correct answer. To build confidence and esteem Psychology Today has given these guidelines: 1. Make three lists: one of your strengths, one of your achievements and one of the things you admire about yourself. 2. Remind yourself that, despite your problems, you are a unique, special, and valuable person, and you deserve to feel good about yourself. 3. Exercise regularly to help manage stress, especial-

ly yoga. 4. Do more of the things that you enjoy doing. 5. Set a challenge you can realistically achieve. For example: learn to paint, sing, or cook. 6. Avoid people, places and institutions that make you feel bad about yourself. Meditation practice serves as another powerful way to trust your intuition. To become quiet on a regular schedule takes practice. It is a learned skill! Everyone can feel restless and that means you need it more as those jitters create resistance. Those who meditate tap into the sixth sense with more ease, to repeat, is pure guidance from ‘source.’ In this cocreation, meditators tend to feel their feelings and trust their feelings. “Imagine what it feels like to know — in any given moment — what to do, how to do it, when or not to do it. How powerful is that?” Farha asked. Personally, for me, since attending the workshop some time ago, my score at trusting my intuition lifted 100 percent. For yours truly here, sometimes the counsel I hear may say “wait” or “not now.” Lastly, it is important to minimize or handle our fears and anxieties, which we all feel in the duality of living life. It helps to define them. Our greatest fears: feeling humiliated, feeling judged, becoming

too visible, abandonment, making mistakes, guise of perfectionism, and feeling too vulnerable. It helps to journal one’s fears or talk them over with a trusted friend. More of Farha’s work is on the website www.juliefarha.com for intuition information and/ or her books or to schedule personal coaching. Trusting your intuition is a powerful feeling that fosters self-reliance, confidence and esteem. Indeed, trusting intuition adds immense quality to our lives.

he book, R e a l C a u s e , Real Cure is written by Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D., Board Certified in Integrative/Holistic medicine. I have known Dr. Teitelbaum as a colleague and mentor for over 15 years and have learned a great deal from him. He has specialized in researching protocols for chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. He is the author of the bestselling books, From Fatigued to Fantastic, Beat Sugar Addiction Now and Pain Free 1-2 -3. Dr. Teitelbaum has been a physician for more than 30 years and has treated more than 15,000 patients with his wonderful blend of traditional and alternative medicine. In Real Cause, Real Cure, a fresh approach to your health is encouraged. Dr. Teitelbaum says, “Modern medicine focuses on treating the symptoms of your health woes, often neglecting their true origins and leaving you with no permanent solution and a lot of doctor appointments”. But Real Cause, Real Cure unearths the 9 root causes of nearly 40 different health problems and gives you the remedies that really work. Inside this book, the nine real causes are as follows: • Nutritional deficiencies such as Vitamin D3, vitamin B-12, magnesium, anti-oxidants and omega 3 fatty acids need to be assessed and optimized with diet and supplementation. • Poor sleep affects an estimated 45 million Americans and leads to a multitude of health issues, such as burnout, brain shrinkage, weight gain, depression, diabetes and heart disease to name a few. • Inactivity also increases risk for disease, so tell sickness to take a hike! • Happiness deficiency must be addressed as joy is your birthright. • Prescription medications must be evaluated and minimized as possible. • Hormonal imbalances such as thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones occur often in our stressful lives and evaluation is important and treatment is needed to rev up your glands. • Digestive difficulties show that poor digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients leads to poor health with

inflammation, toxicity and poor immunity. It takes guts to feel good. • Cellular toxicity of the body is rampant with the chemical exposures that have increased in the last century. Learn how to stay clean in a dirty world. • Chronic inflammation is influenced by what we eat, such as: too many Omega 6s and not enough Omega 3s, processed and non-organic foods plus what we think such as negative thoughts, anger and depression. From this book, you’ll learn about: • The surprising supplements that can help control and prevent diabetes. • How to finally get a good night’s sleep and how doing so will help you fight off heart disease, depression, weight gain and chronic pain. • The real reason you suffer from chronic heartburn and why drugs are hurting, not helping. • The no-nonsense nutrient that can make a major improvement in your arthritis and arthritis-related pain. • Natural techniques to eliminate stress, pain, food allergies and more. Then put it all together with Dr. Teitelbaum’s easy-to-follow 28-Day LifeChanging Plan that will send you on the path to a healthy life unfettered by doctor’s office waiting rooms. The key to success in following any health plan is to follow YOUR plan, to do what feels right to you, at the pace that feels right to you. So consider the 28 days’ worth of feelbetter ideas to be recommendations, not requirements. They’re like 28 tools in your life-change tool box. Choose and use whatever tools you find are best for the daily ‘job’ of optimizing your health and well-being. Food First!—by Bethany Klug, D.O. Massage Your Veggies?

Y

ou bet! When summer comes, I’m always looking for no-cook dishes. One of my favorite is massaged vegetables. Massaging softens vegetables like collard greens and kale so they can be digested in their raw state. It’s also a good way to soften kelp and spiral sliced veggie noodles. All you need is fresh lemon juice—bottled juice doesn’t work—sea salt, and good quality oil. Here’s how it works: the acidic lemon juice breaks down the cell walls. The salt then releases the water from the cells. The olive oil then stops the process. The order is important: lemon juice, then salt, then oil. Here’s a very simple and delicious kale salad to demonstrate the technique:

Pad Thai Sauce 3/4 cup raw almond butter 1/2 cup fresh lime juice 1 T minced fresh ginger 1 T chick pea or aduki bean miso 1 t minced garlic 1/8 t cayenne pepper Sea salt to taste Kelp noodles or spiral sliced cucumber or zucchini Toppings

Hemp Kale Salad 1 bunch dinosaur or lacinato kale, stems removed and finely chopped 1 large tomato, diced ¼ cup hemp seeds 2 t lemon juice 1 tsp salt 3 T olive oil Add kale to bowl. Add lemon juice and massage until tender. Add salt and massage until water releases. Add olive oil, tomatoes and hemp seeds. Mix until kale is well coated. It’s that easy. Someone told me recently that collard greens are the new kale. It’s about time! Collards can be easily substituted for kale as can Swiss chard, mustard greens, dandelion greens, radicchio, or any kind of tough leafy greens. This technique softens spiral sliced kohlrabi and turnips to a more noodlelike texture. Try this cool vegetable pad Thai substituting any of these for the kelp noodles in the recipe.

Sprouts Julienned red and yellow peppers Shredded carrots Grape tomatoes Scallions Fresh Cilantro Fresh Basil Fresh Mint Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. For a thicker sauce, add more almond butter or to thin it out, add more juice. Prepare the kelp noodles according to the package directions and then pour the sauce over them to marinate for about 10 minutes and then top with suggested toppings or use your imagination. Serve in a bowl and/or on top of a large bed of mixed greens. Serves 2 – 3.

Using Shamanic and Jungian Tools To Achieve Personal Transformation

W

e all have a story, but what we often don’t realize is that we are the storytellers, and we can rewrite the story at any time to make it more satisfying. In Change Your Story, Change Your Life: Using Shamanic and Jungian Tools to Achieve Personal Transformation (Findhorn Press/May 2014/ $17.95) clinical psychologist, Jungian analyst, and shamanic practitioner Carl Greer has written a practical guide for transformation using the overlooked tool of the unconscious mind. Drawing on his knowledge of shamanism from both North American and South American indigenous trainings and his background in Jungian analytical psychology, Greer presents exercises for examining our current story and techniques for working with the archetypal energies that power it. Greer helps us to tap into the wisdom and power of the unconscious mind. Greer explains his method for dialoguing and journaling inspired by Jungian active imagination and his knowledge of shamanic journeying. By venturing into unseen worlds usually hidden from our awareness, we can identify, understand, and work with the various energies that both influence our stories and determine the th em es th a t reo c c ur in o ur lives. Then, we can ensure that the changes we want to make will last until we are ready to change the story once again. Providing invaluable information about working with archetypal energies encountered in nature and dreams and during shamanic journeys, Change Your Story, Change Your Life is a practical and engaging guide for anyone looking to achieve transformation. Beyond the Physical

M

etaphysics is the study of what is beyond (meta) the physical (physics). When I started out on this quest at the age of 14, not many people knew what this word meant. Today, 40 years later, I still find myself having to explain the meaning of this word. For people who think this relates to something “airy

fairy,” I like to ask them, “Have you had any thoughts today?” If they answer yes, then I tell them they were engaged in metaphysics, since thought is beyond the physical. Everything that does not have form can be considered metaphysical. Discussing things that are physical can be boring, since there is no mystery to them. Anything physical can be dissected and analyzed to under-

stand it. Yet, we cannot dissect something that is non-physical with our minds and hands, which means we must rely on our sixth sense, or intuition to understand it. If we have not developed our intuition, we may have difficulty tapping into it. However, intuition is easier to use than the mind, for it only requires us to listen and often gives us answers instantaneously. The mind often requires hours of

reading and research in order to understand something. We truly come to understand our soul, spirit and the Creator by using our intuition Metaphysical topics include such things as thoughts, dreams, soul, spirit, the Creator, energy, and vibration. Although we live in the physical world, the most important things for us to understand are not physical, but metaphysical since our true self is spirit, not

the body. Everything in the physical world is temporary, and everything non-physical is permanent. Therefore, to engage in the study of metaphysics makes sense. A metaphysician is anyone who is willing to accept and explore a reality beyond the physical. I have found there are three levels of metaphysicians. The first level is the most intense. These are the people who reflect on every experience and seek to understand why it happened and what they can learn from it. Then they apply the lesson or wisdom to their life. First level metaphysicians do a three step process of reflecting, learning and applying because they know they are a soul and will most likely reincarnate if they still have lessons to learn. The second level of metaphysicians are the ones who are curious about everything, and ask questions such as who am I? Why am I here? And where am I going? They love to engage in conversations about reincarnation, death and the afterlife. They also enjoy attending workshops and seminars about metaphysical topics. However, they are still in the assimilation stage and have not yet reached a level of certainty about their true selves. Third level metaphysicians are in the exploration stage. They identify more strongly with the physical than the metaphysical. They take something metaphysical, and try to explain it in physical terms. They are still at the stage in their life when they need proof. Although they do not deny metaphysical things, they have a low level of trust about nonphysical reality.

Metaphysics proves to us that we are spirits in a material world. Although it may not seem true, most of our experiences in the physical world are metaphysical. For example, we spend 1/3 of our life sleeping. During that time we experience many dreams that reflect our non-physical reality. The average person thinks about 5060,000 thoughts a day, and thoughts are not physical. Although our bodies are physical, what created it was nonphysical (our thoughts created the body we have today). We use our emotions frequently throughout the day, and emotions are non-physical – they are the expression of our thoughts. We create, and every creation began as a thought in our mind. We love and love is not physical. Many people engage in fearful thinking and fears are not real. A good acronym for fear is “False Expectations Appearing Real.” The only physical part of our reality comes into play when we seek to find a physical expression of our non-physical world. We love someone and we want to make it physical reality, so we sign a marriage certificate. We seek to create physical expressions of power, and we may do this in the form of money, or enlarged muscles. Power is only a belief we hold in our mind. We have an idea to create something, so we build it, such as a table, or house. However, metaphysicians would argue that even physical things, such as a table, are not really solid. A table is a conglomeration of vibrating particles that “appear” solid, but are not. This begs the question, is a particle physical? If you are a metaphysician and want to explore this in more detail, I suggest researching

the field of quantum physics. Being a metaphysician makes life more interesting because when we believe in metaphysics, we open ourselves up to experiencing miracles. The Merriam Webster definition of a miracle is “an unusual or wonderful event that is believed to be caused by the power of God. A very amazing or unusual event, thing, or achievement.” Life is much more exciting when we believe in miracles, because we then have the possibility of experiencing them. There has been an entire book written on miracles, entitled “A Course in Miracles.” This course states “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” If you wish to become an intense metaphysician, this book is one way that may get you there. Metaphysicians are more likely to be happy because they engage in what is real - the non -physical. When we chase after physical things, such as money, or possessions, they only

make us happy for a short time, if at all. However, when we embrace the non-physical aspects of life — love, our soul, our dreams — we find fulfillment. . My Favorite Quali es

C

ourage is one of my very favorite spiritual qualities. Virginia Minor epitomizes this quality. She was inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians in December, 2013, for her role in starting the women’s suffrage movement in Missouri and for arguing for women’s rights before the U. S. Supreme Court. It’s mind boggling to me that it took countless brave women 80 years of effort before women finally won the right to vote in 1920. Virginia Minor spent more than 18 years of her life in this effort. She was born in 1824 and died in 1894. Underlying the quality of Courage are two of my other favorite spiritual qualities: Faith and Confidence. Whenever we are putting forth a new idea, no matter what it is, there is always hostility, backlash and ridicule for our efforts. It takes enormous Courage, Faith and Confidence to carry through with our efforts. I can’t help but wonder what Virginia Minor would think, say and feel if she could see the efforts today to block the right to vote. The sustaining effort of these qualities lies in understanding that we cannot take opposition personally, even when it’s meant very personally. Understanding that we are working for the greater Good keeps us from being embittered. Without this understanding, I truly believe a sustained effort to bring forth our new dream would be impossible. These ideas remind me of Carl Jung’s 'Wounded healer.' We are all impacted by life. Courage, Faith and Confidence are hallmarks of Compassion, the spiritual quality that keeps us grounded in Balance. Without these qualities we’d be psychopaths. We’d be so lost in our own pain we would do nothing but inflict pain on

others. This isn’t the usual understanding of a psychopath; it is my understanding of a psychopath! This understanding allows me to stay open in extraordinary circumstances and call forth the healing that is needed for all involved. It allows me to stay grounded in Compassion, open hearted and still breathing easily instead of frozen in fear. I feel these qualities are so very needed now in our world that seems to be frozen in fear and knee-jerk reactiveness. It’s important to me to live from a different understanding — sending forth blessings that are so very needed. It is my way of saying we are power itself. We are sacred. We are holy. We are so much more than any circumstance. From that detached, and yet very present view, we always go EVOLVING… A GUIDE FOR CONSCIOUS LIVING

Be the Change

M

the change as we change our thoughts and perceptions. As Gandhi said, “We must be the change we want to see in the world.”

etaphysics is considered by some to be the study of the mind and by others to be the study of our non-physical reality. But what if what we perceive to be real, is not real? What if our “reality” is imaginary? Sometimes life is not what it seems.

We are all destined to awaken from the dream and to evolve our consciousness. There is no judgment about how quickly we awaken and evolve our souls. Wherever we are in the journey of awakening is perfect and divine. Spiritual guides and angels are always with us to help guide us through our journey. We are never alone.

Deepak Chopra has referred to humans as, “luminous star dust beings with self-awareness.” He also said, “Humans are the Universe looking back at itself.” He claims that most people live their lives within their own thoughts, which are either in the past or the future. As our souls incarnate into physical bodies, we begin connecting to what we perceive to be physical reality. We accept our physical bodies as real and our physical reality as real. The truth, however, is that our physical reality is an illusion, a dream. We forget that we are connected to Source Energy and that we are all Universal Creators. We start believing in the illusion that we are separate from God and the Universe. (Anytime we are experiencing pain, it is almost always because we are feeling separate from something or someone.) When we are asleep, we perceive a story that is happening in our dreams to be real. But the truth is, our body is still while our mind is creating the story in the dream. The same is true in our physical reality wherein our minds create a larger, longer dream. What we are experiencing in our dream is based on our past expe-

The absolute truth of our being is that our souls are eternal and transform physical reality. We are here to remember that we are the physical manifestation of Divine Life Force Energy and we are here to create beauty on the planet. Most importantly, we are here to know that the essence of our being is love — and that is how we are all connected. riences, our beliefs, and our vibrations. By affirming positive thoughts and imagining positive events, we are attracting the kind of experiences we want (Abraham Hicks, Law of Attraction). When we meditate, our thoughts become still and we feel more connected to God and the Universe. This helps us stay consciously aware of the wholeness of our experiences. Who we really are is the gap or window between thoughts; and, this is where we can transform ourselves from our perceived physical reality. We are not doing anything when we are experiencing the gap between thoughts. We are simply being. If we want to see peace in the world, we must experience peace within ourselves. We become the peaceful observers. We create peace by example, and in essence, by doing nothing. Change is not created by doing -- it is created by being EVOLVING… A GUIDE FOR CONSCIOUS LIVING

Spiritual Horoscope—by Aluna Michaels May 2014 Taurus (April 20 – May 20) Happy birthday Taurus! Invigorating Mars moves direct and inspires you in terms of eating habits and fitness. Meditate on positive affirmations for your body, energy levels and self-esteem. Visualize energy of the Universe in every cell! Windows of opportunity may open at work – don’t hesitate or balk. Trust and leap forward! Gemini (May 21 – June 20) You can start a fun, positive new relationship! Enjoy this initial time, and also be sure s/he matches your spiritual path and blends with your future goals. This sort of connection can be long term, so be ready for commitment! If already partnered, you can discover new things about each other. Be vocal about what you appreciate about him/her and love will be even stronger. Cancer (June 21 – July 22) Meditation is the best tool you have to overcome emotional triggers. Family and home issues will likely drive you crazy, so before you react, find a quiet retreat spot and take a few breaths! (The bathroom is always a safe excuse for a few moments of privacy!) Also observe how you rile yourself up in your own mind. Regular spiritual centering will help you avoid those tendencies so you’re more serene. Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22) Working with affirmations will be very powerful right now. Remember not to skip the vital step of using denials – cleansing statements that release the old and create fertile “mind soil” for the new! Have strength behind your statement of release and of affirmation. Also let trusted spiritual friends know what you’re working on manifest-

ing so they can visualize too! Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22) May is a major prosperity month for you! Meditate on your value as a member of the Universe! You deserve abundance! Focus on the fact that there is plenty for everyone and don’t limit your ability to receive by feeling shy about having a receptive consciousness. Lack comes from not claiming divine supply. So make your claim and inspire others! P.S. prosperity can also come in the form of relationships and intimacy. Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22) Exciting Mars moves direct in your sign. You’ll feel energized physically, and empowered personally. Meditate on how you can be a push-over in romantic, family and work relationships. Draw up a plan of action to have stronger boundaries. Mid-month, approach those people and calmly discuss the changes you need to make. By taking responsibility for your weakness instead of blaming them, bonds will heal and flourish. Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21) Mars moving direct clears out old anger and frustration lodged in your subconscious. Meditation makes this a smooth process and releases the energy safely. Midmonth you’ll notice better commu-

nication about money. You can also bring up sexual or intimacy issues with your partner and find solutions. Health-wise, you’ll see how old anger causes bad eating habits and can be free of them! Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21) If single, you can meet someone through friends or fun activities. Your pets could even play matchmaker by having a person approach you to talk about them! If partnered, you’ll have a romantic renaissance by finding cool things you both like to do together, and seeing each other with fresh eyes. Communication will be good, so you’ll feel flirty and happy. Enjoy this playful time as a gift from the Universe! Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19) This will be a great work month. You can get a promotion or a new job! In general, you’ll feel appreciated by co-workers, and also by family. It’s a good time to have a party or gathering, since your home has such positive energy and people will feel blessed being there. You’ll be very inspiring, so dare to give people intuitive messages you receive trough meditation. Be vocal with praise, even over small things. Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18) Mars moving ahead re-invigorates your spiritual goals. Design a new approach to meditation. Try a different sort of yoga class. Pick up an inspirational book. You can even sense new spiritual guides helping you, because you’re on a higher level of soul evolution. Like Capricorn pals, your positive words have extra power now, so bless others with your insights. Even a smile gives people a mystical boost!

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20) Meditation is increasing your selfworth. As a Pisces, it’s crucial to acknowledge your strengths and not just weaknesses! Your confidence makes communication better with family, and also at work. You can express boundaries and opinions gently, but with clarity behind them. You’ll also feel more comfortable with sexuality. Knowing your spiritual power makes you feel less vulnerable so intimacy is less scary! Aries (March 21 – April 19) May is a great month for new relationships, and to make current partnerships feel new! Meditate with affirmations about the qualities of the perfect partner you want. Also meditate on qualities you can cultivate to be a better partner yourself. Forgive past relationships. Also release the negative stuff about your current bond if not single in order to change it for the better. Be open to new possibilities of positive karma between both of you!
