Regent Porto Montenegro is an unique experience unlike any other. The General Manager of Regent Porto Montenegro, Kai Dieckmann sat with TRAILBLAZING MAGAZINE to reveal what his Hotel, an ultimate luxury retreat, located in the heart of Boka Bay, offers for the guests this summer.

New for this season, among many other things, Regent’s Gourmet Corner will be taken over by a different cuisine each week, transporting guests around the world. “Specialty dishes from Greece, Italy, Asia and France will be available for guests to sample. For guests looking for a more personalised and private experience, Regent’s intimate Chef’s Table is available where you can enjoy a four or six-course menu, created and presented by Regent’s chefs exclusively for groups of up to 8 guests,” he added.

Tourism is bouncing back. How has Regent Porto Montenegro resumed its operations and can you tell us more on the measures you have taken to guarantee a super summer for all your existing and new clients?

Having remained open throughout the pandemic, Regent Porto Montenegro had a fairly successful season in 2020 and bookings for summer 2021 are looking to be even stronger. A number of airlines are restarting their routes and some exciting new markets are opening for Montenegro too. Regent Porto Montenegro is looking to welcome guests this summer with an array of specially curated events that promise exclusive and personalised entertainment, from globally inspired foodie weekends to an elegant Captain’s Dinner and cocktail Fridays with live music. The hotel will also be hosting a series of standout themed dinners for its guests at Murano restaurant including the Mediterranean Candlelit Dinner, the five-course Truffle Dinners and Regent’s Full Moon Gala Dinner held in the hotel’s Italian Garden, with Venetian masks available for guests wanting to add an element of mystery to their evening. The yachting industry has its own presence and Porto Montenegro has been leading the nautical story on the global frontier for the last few years, impeccably drawing the attention of the nautical experts to this part of the world. We have had the honour of sponsoring and partnering with RC44 regatta and some acclaimed events that have gathered the captains of the megayachts and leading industry professionals to Porto Montenegro, with the aim of enhancing the idea of the nautical lifestyle. Regent, located in the heart of the Boka Bay, is the ideal place for visitors “whose blood is salty” and is packed full of rich nautical heritage. Throughout the 20th century, the maritime industry has been in gradual decline, but Porto Montenegro is working on regaining the world’s attention as one of the top yachting destinations.

In addition to the exciting calendar of events that celebrate our 8th summer in operation, we have opened a fifth venue

called Onyx Bar & Garden by Beluga where the cocktail list will be based on the various Beluga vodka lines. With the launch of this new cocktail venue, we became the exclusive address of the Beluga Epicure by Lalique, the most luxurious Beluga vodka whose shots costs around 400 euros each and bottles over 9,000 each. Porto Montenegro is soon welcoming the top tier mono designer brand that will again prove that this nautical village is among most glamorous destinations in Europe. Opening of 4 new restaurants has also expanded the gastronomic offering even further.
