Can you make an overview of the relaunched event business 196+?

The PKF hospitality group has been active in the hospitality investment conference field for almost twenty years with different formats and differently branded conferences. Even though the events business has been hit especially hard, we strongly believe that this sector will come back. So this has been exactly the right time to reinvent and to reorganize our conference activities. With the help of a well-known international branding agency, we developed a new brand for all our conferences: 196+ events.

The Motto worldwide 196+ is "hospitality events for curious minds". Why this one?

196+ events connect decision makers in the hospitality industry, a business sector where the importance of personal exchange is vital. Therefore, we have created hospitality events for curious minds. We are inviting the movers and shakers, the technology players and game changers to speak about the latest developments.

Where is Albania positioned within the plan of 196+ since Albania is the next tourist destination distinguished for some top architects and designers?

We are certainly aware that Albania is the last unchartered territory within Europe and the interest of investors and international hospitality brands is high. Therefore we are planning a 196+ spotlight event in Tirana in 2022. The 196+ spotlight series features regional events with a specific focus on a topic or region as part of 196+ events. What topics of hospitality investments and innovations are expected to be dealt by 196+?

We will be looking at the entire cycle of hotel investment to hotel operations and the latest digital innovations and design trends.

What position does 196+ take within PKF hotelexperts? Does the latter expect to be better positioned and have better connections with the relaunching of 196+?

196+ events is its own division with the PKF hospitality group. 196+ events will provide an independent platform for all stakeholders within the hospitality investment community to meet, from investors to operators to architects to consultants and lawyers. Everybody is welcome and we are looking forward to lots of personal exchanges. We are an industry where personal encounters are vital.
