This fall season we are excited to announce the release of our newest addition to the Kelbourne Woolens family, Lucky Tweed. Lucky Tweed’s namesake is inspired by our favorite local watering hole, Lucky’s Last Chance, a friendly little bar where the Kelbourne team congregates regularly. Lucky Tweed, like our neighborhood bar, is warm, inviting, and something we return to over and over again, and we think you will, too. With a name that evokes both Irish folklore and Philadelphia’s historic roots and unbreakable spirit, Lucky Tweed is a soft, woolen spun, aran weight merino made by our friends in Donegal, Ireland. We think Lucky Tweed is perfect for cozy cabled garments and accessories, color work, and all types of accessories. We hope you love Lucky Tweed as much as we do.

Luck of the Irish The Lucky Tweed Collection is inspired by our respective Irish heritage and the historic city of Philadelphia, which Kelbourne Woolens calls home. We created a collection that harkens to traditional Irish knitting, but is quintessentially American in look and fit, with an inclusive size range and silhouettes for all people. We are thrilled to share this collection, which is dear to our hearts, and we hope finds a place in yours. Meghan Kelly Esme is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch, and the front is worked in an allover ribbed cable pattern. Newbold Kate Gagnon Osborn
Newbold is worked in the round from the bottom up. The sleeves and body are both worked in the round and then joined at the armholes to work the yoke. The colorwork patterning begins before the join.
