Seguro.

Last week we saw you in the Nike SB SLS Pro Open, congratulations on your third place! Thanks man, good times, crazy times out there, everyone is so talented! How do you feel about getting a spot in the SLS Pros? Oh my god, that is… I don’t even know, it’s crazy. Now I get to skate next to superheroes, you know? Like P-Rodriguez, Chris Cole and Nyjah, people that are just so good. It’s really fun to be able to push skating in a different way in the Street League. You’ve been for over a week in Barcelona. Yeah, and I’ll stay for three more. That’s cool, and which are your favorite spots in the city? I like all the spots outside the city, the ones that you have to take a van to get to; there are so many good ones. My favorite one in Spain is in Majorca, such a beautiful island. Today, in the Make It Count contest by Element you were part of the jury, how was being on the other side, evaluating tricks? It was really, really cool because I got to watch skateboarding. I love skateboarding, everything about it, so watching kids rip and push themselves, land tricks in front of people, that’s my dream, I don’t want to do anything else. If I’m not skating, then I want everyone else to skate. If I can’t skate, everyone, please skate. I got to see your Evan Smith Experience video by Element and there’s some gnarly stuff in there, any trick you remember? Of the tricks that I did? (Laughs) No, I don’t think about that; that was like two years ago. Now I’m looking forward making new parts, you know? Putting out new videos. We’re working on three parts right now, one for Trasher, one for Element and the other for DC Shoes. And what can you tell us about those videos? Where are you filming? We’ve been traveling all over the world, it’s an international filming crew, so we’ll go everywhere and it’s just special. I feel this might be

Básicamente me mantendré relajado y tranquilo. Es un buen plan.

the only time in my life when I’m going to be able to skate this much, so I’m gonna keep it going as much as possible! Sure. Now talking about contests, when you participate, do you always try to win or is it more of a competition with yourself, trying to push it further? Honestly I don’t care that much about competing; I like seeing people land tricks, and the contest format is really fun because it gives you a nice light, an arena or something. So for me it doesn’t matter who ever wins the contest, that doesn’t mean anything; just because I got in the Street League it doesn’t make it any cooler, at all, the Street League is cool regardless of me, you know? (Laughs) Though that day I had a good day skating and luckily now I get to be a part of it. That day we had the chance to see you do some aerials, grinds, flips. Is there anything you cannot do? A weak spot? I don’t know, I just like skating everything, so I try to feel as equal as possible either if it is on the half pipe or over the ledge, and as comfortable with the ground and myself. I learned from a past interview you like shoes with two tongues, some lights on them… (Laughs) When I was younger. You don’t anymore? No, that was when I was like fifteen or sixteen. But you would be stoked to design your own signature shoes? Well, right now I’m wearing the shoes I designed with DC. They will be released on spring next year. It’s a new design for DC. Nice. And to sum it up, what are your plans for these three weeks you have left in Barcelona? I’ll just continue filming for the video parts and meeting people, partying, enjoying the lifestyle here because it’s wonderful and the weather is beautiful. So I’m just gonna keep it relaxed and ‘tranquilo’. That’s a good plan.
