Lon Levin an artist’s portfolio



The art depicted here chronicles one man’s story of survival in the Warsaw Ghetto, the Nazi death camps and World War II. Once liberated from Auschwitz Death Camp David W. made his way to America and the freedom to pursue his dreams of marrying, raising a family and building a business. Today the 88-year old survivor is one of the leaders in Los Angeles having built a buisness empire in the real estate and construction arenas.



The art here is a portrait of Randal Schoeberg, the lawyer responsible for the return of Gustave Klimt’s “Woman in Gold” to it’s rightful owner, Maria Altman. The incredible story of this historic saga is depicted in the movie “Woman in Gold” starring Helen Mirren Klimt’s iconic painting of her aunt, Portrait of Adele BlochBauer I, was stolen from her relatives by the Nazis in Vienna just prior to World War II. Altmann took her legal battle all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States, which ruled on the case Republic of Austria v. Altmann (2004).



The art here depicts the struggles of one woman’s journey in life. From the plains of Texas to the streets of Los Angeles she has endure predjudice in all it’s hateful forms and still managing to behopeful and positive about her life thru prayer and her Love of God.


The art depicted in the next pages are from the web comic “The Kid From Beverly Hill�. Each webisode depicts the author’s thought on iconic landmarks and how the play into his life and growth as well as the growth of the city during his lifetime.






The iconic art depicted here details the atmosphere of love and fear that existed for Jewish Foundation’s CEO Marvin Schotland when he grew up. His parents were Holocaust survivors who were married before they were taken to internment camps. They found each other years later and moved to the US. Marvin’s recollection of his household was one of mixed emtions; Love, fear, music and joy.



The stamps here depicts highlights historical moments of the United States Space Program from the Palomar Oberservatory to the Pancam Mars Exploration Rover.



Fomer Microsoft CEO and current L.A. Clipper owner Steve Ballmer is a hard working man as depicted in this iconic art . After years of working with Harvard schoolmate Bill Gates, Ballmer struck out on his own recently and devised a 7-part bucket list plan that started with the acquisition of the Los Angeles Clippers. The energetic and visionary Ballmer has plans to bring his knowledge of technology to the sports world to enhance the audience experience.



The incredible journey attorney, E. Randol Schoenberg took to recover Gustav Klimt’s “Lady in Gold” is depicted in this iconic art. During World War II the Nazis stole many great works of art. The Lady in Gold was one of the many that lay hidden from view for more than 50 years. On behalf of the heirs to this great masterpiece, Schoenberg challenged the Austrian government as to who was the rightful owner . Through many twists and turns he remained steadfast and finally prevailed after years of legally battles.
