Lindsay O’ Callaghan

Lindsay has both a Bachelor of Design and a Bachelor of Education with a major in Art Education from the University of Alberta. For the last 10 years, this artist and educator has worked with students to develop their growth mindset and artistic confidence. Lindsay loves drawing, visual communication design and printmaking. Aside from creating, she enjoys yoga, traveling and spending time with her puppy.

Exciting scenes around the city of Edmonton will be the backdrop for your own live-action film! Sydney Campbell Sydney Campbell is a theatre artist and a recent graduate of the University of Alberta in Drama and Gender Studies. They have been doing improv since 2011 and joined the ranks of RapidFire Theatre in 2016. In addition to creating theatre, Sydney is an instructor with RapidFire's outreach program teaching improv classes to youth all over the city.

HUNG LY Originally from Vietnam, Hung had a love for sports and being active. His interest in cooking began at a young age and he has worked at a number of restaurants in Edmonton. Hung graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Education and is currently a high school Food Studies teacher. His other talents include being a presenter, coach, personal trainer, and an active volunteer in the community.

Are You The Next Master Chef? Bake, blend, cut, chop, broil! In this camp led by a Red Seal chef, you’ll master basic knife skills, kitchen safety and food budgeting. Forage for edible plants in Edmonton’s river valley and learn from chef Kaelin Whittaker of the Ruby Apron as she shares her passion and knowledge of simple, local, seasonal foods. John Neufeld & Curtis Rich Join John Neufeld and Curtis Rich on a journey of discovery, learning, and creativity! These Red Seal Journeyman Welders and certified Alberta teachers have a passion for sparking interest in the art of welding. John has been teaching for 15 years and has experience in the repair of jet boats and mill and mining equipment. Curtis has been the welding instructor at Jasper Place School for 10 years. His experience includes oilfield and pipeline equipment manufacturing. Check out this hands-on camp and learn the art of basic welding including using computer numeric control.

Arcs and Sparks Have fun with real arcs and sparks! Learn basic welding skills and safety practices in this project-based camp. Uncover the creative side of welding as you complete your projects, and find out how welding impacts our daily lives. CANCELLATIONS: Metro reserves the rights to cancel any camp. A full refund will be issued for all cancelled camps. Please note that Metro Continuing Education does not close sites due to weather and camps will run as scheduled when possible.

To withdraw from a camp for a refund, please notify Metro's Registration and Customer Service office at least one (1) full business day prior to the start of your camp. At this time, a full refund, minus a $40 service fee, will be issued.
