• ACRO: This class will be guided towards increasing flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline, and concentration. We will focus on the fundamental acrobatic techniques and incorporating them into dance styles. Dress: tan tights and a black leotard, dance or booty shorts. No shoes.

• BALLET: This class is designed for our young dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of a parent. Dancers will have fun learning moves to popular children’s music through singing and movement games. Dress: pink tights and pink or black leotard, tutu or ballet skirt, and pink leather ballet shoes.

• CHEER DANCE: Learn the fundamentals of cheerleading, cheers, motions, dance, jumps, kicks, voice projections, and beginning tumbling in this fun non-competitive class. Students will learn teamwork, trust, and cooperation. Dress: tank top or t-shirt, dance, booty shorts, or leggings, and white sneakers.

• CONTEMPORARY/CREATIVE MOVEMENT: Participants will learn to move in a creative, freeing and graceful way while also transforming your posture and balance and improving your fitness. You’ll combine aspects of different contemporary techniques and choreography.

• HIP HOP: These classes will incorporate a variety of old and new urban dance styles. Hip Hop dancing is very dynamic and helps dancers improve their flexibility; develop body balance, and coordination. Dress: tan tights and a black leotard, dance or booty shorts, and tan leather jazz shoes.

• INTRO TO BALLET: This class is designed for our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of a parent. Dancers will have fun learning moves to popular children’s music through singing and movement games. Dress: pink tights and pink or black leotard, tutu or ballet skirt, and pink leather ballet shoes.

• JAZZ: Students will learn turns, leaps and jumps as well as today’s “hottest” combinations in these fun and exciting Jazz classes. All our Jazz classes are ballet-based. Dress Code: Dance tights, pink or black leotard, and tan jazz shoes.

• MUSICAL THEATER: This class will help children explore storytelling through dance. Students will focus on learning proper dance techniques and facial expression. Class curriculum is based on ballet techniques layered with Broadway-style jazz movement and includes a proper warm up, stretches and isolation across the floor progressions and combinations.

• TAP: Learn fundamental tap movements with a warmup of basic exercises, along with center and corner floor work. Classes progress to more intricate steps and combinations. Dress Code: Dance tights, pink or black leotard and tan tap shoes required.

• LYRICAL: Designed for intermediate to advanced students with previous training in ballet. Students will explore partnering and weight-sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students must take this class in conjunction with ballet. Dress Code: Tan tights, black leotard, fitted shorts and tan leather jazz shoes.

• COMBO CLASSES: These classes will consist of class time spent in different genres.

• ADULT TAP: Tap skills will be introduced to formulate a solid level of techniques (shuffles, flaps, cramp rolls, Irish, shuffle ball change etc.) Participants will also be introduced to the basic, fundamental music skills. Tan tap shoes are required.

• ADULT HIP HOP: Each class will consist of warm up, free styling, and strength and conditioning to ensure your heart gets pounding.

The Academy offers students ages 5-19 the opportunity to learn and experience show business firsthand. Studying during the school year is designed so each student can thrive in their training, become more involved, and receive individual attention. All our classes culminate in fullscale Broadway style productions and recitals performed on a professional stage.

• BROADWAY SERIES: Our training programs are developed on an independent study format so students can flourish while improving their skills. The students attend classes, workshops, and rehearsals in each area of study: MUSIC, DANCE, and ACTING. Everyone gets a role as either a lead, supporting, or ensemble member. The show is used as a vehicle to teach techniques that are more intriguing and challenging. The most powerful achievement will be their performance in a full-scale Broadway-style show at the end of the season. This season’s productions include Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka (Grades 4-7) and The Wedding Singer (Grades 8+). Students train to be cast in rolls such as main characters, supporting characters, ensemble characters, dance & vocal teams, as well as scene crew.

• PRIVATE DANCE LESSONS:The wide range of dance styles (Tap, Ballet, Jazz) can be covered allowing students the opportunity to connect technique with proper terminology. These techniques are an essential part of the Musical Theatre Industry and the student will achieve a higher level of knowledge that is required for professional theatre and college auditions. 1/2 Hour Lessons: $45 per class1 Hour Lessons: $75 per class.

• JUNIORS (ENSEMBLE CLASSES) PRODUCTION DANCE: (GRADES 3-5) These inspiring programs allow students to train with professionals & build self-esteem and confidence. Elevate your skills in dance and movement with focus on multiple styles of dance including musical theatre, hip hop, and jazz. Create concept videos and production numbers that focus on performance and storytelling on the stage or on camera. Classes culminate with an end of season Recital. Perform locally & nurture the performer within!

BEAT STREET DANCE HIP HOP DANCE TEAM

It is a necessary class for those interested in developing the skills to improve voice and professional expertise. This class is recommended for anyone who is interested in singing. Private Vocal studies can also include preparation for Thespian competitions, either individual or group pieces. THE CODER SCHOOL

Coding and Robotics program for kids Ages 5-18. Game development, website building, robotics, AI and everything technology with a concentration on building logic, math and problem solving.
