GREENTREE PREP CHARTER K-8 (GTP), is a SMALL but POWERFUL public charter school located on Dykes Road in SW Ranches, serving students from Weston, SW Ranches, Pines, Miramar and Davie. GTP began operations - August 2014 and since then, has received outstanding marks in education. “The school’s commitment to excellence in academics, and our teachers’ emphasis to “Teach beyond the standards”, are our greatest assets.” says E. GTP is recognized as a high performing charter school by the state of Florida and has received honorable mention in different academic areas since 2014, ranking TOP 3 schools in Broward County for Language Arts in its first year.

The school has a high percentage of High Achiever and Gifted students and works closely with all students so they can achieve more than the basic standards in academics from an early age. The student population is 300, allowing teachers to offer individualized attention to each student. The Director states: “We believe that every student is gifted and if given the proper tools and guidance, the student will gain confidence and set higher individual goals. All students attending GTP are taught in a gifted learning environment. Our goal is to challenge and motivate students and help them achieve their personal best.”
