Together with Basketball

The Sagemont School, serving students from preschool-12th grade, inspires academic excellence through intellectual exploration, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Students are encouraged to take responsible risks and develop a deep understanding of social responsibility as active agents of change. Within Sagemont’s nurturing, personalized, college preparatory environment, dedicated educators differentiate instruction and focus on real-world application. Sagemont believes classrooms without walls will create students without limits.

Sagemont students are encouraged to utilize their passions to serve the greater community and their men’s basketball team (ranked #13 in the state of Florida) accomplished this mission in an extraordinarily big way with their 1st Annual Hoopsgiving Invitation. For Sagemont’s 1st Annual Hoopsgiving Invitational, the men’s basketball team led by Coach David Roe welcomed 20 high schools across the tri-county area to compete locally to gain exposure for their talent and very importantly provide a community event for families to enjoy during the Thanksgiving break. What is truly remarkable about this event led by Sagemont student athletes’ passion, is that they utilized the community basketball invitational event to raise $1,500 for a local charity, Honor Flights of South Florida, which is dedicated to honoring all American Veterans.

The Sagemont School is continuously focused on bringing the community together and is ready to invite the community back on campus on April 30th for a FREE Athletic Skills Forum. This event will allow young men and women in K-8th grade to work alongside elite trainers in the sports of basketball, baseball, volleyball, and golf.
