As I write this, the Sun is entering an unprecedented phase of activity. Disrupted weather patterns are sparking hurricanes and tornadoes, volcanoes and earthquakes are shaking cities across the globe, a new comet has entered our Solar System on a direct beeline for our orbit, asteroids are passing our planet closer than ever before, and an invisible cloud of radiation is spreading inexorably outwards from the Fukushima nuclear reactor and threatening to poison each and every living creature on the Earth. Any sane and rational person would be forgiven for wondering if this were indeed the endtimes, and it is becoming increasingly obvious that things are afoot. BIG things. And if the events of the past two years have taught us anything, it's that we are but ants in the face of forces we can barely understand. Forget global warming and humanity's carbon footprint -our self-destructive carbon-producing behaviour is but a drop in the ocean compared to the toxic gases being belched from volcanoes around the globe and the effects of solar radiation on our atmosphere. And sadly, we're probably not going to live long enough to ever truly know if we had any impact on the world's weather patterns. Our utter stupidity in regards to nuclear power, and the radiation that we are now, whether we like it or not, unwillingly subject to, will be what ultimately does us in. I know what you're thinking -- what does all this negative doom-and-glooming about the end of the world have to do with UFOs? Exactly this: WE GOT IT WRONG! Back in the 1950s, when our space brothers made their contacts and shared their fear for mankind's future, it's possible we may have misinterpreted what they were telling us. When they told us to 'beware the atom', we, in our naïveté, thought they meant the atom bomb. We can be forgiven though, because it was a logical mistake. At the time, the Cold War was ramping up and the nuclear arms race was high on the superpowers' agendas. A-bombs were being built willy-nilly, tested indiscriminately and hidden away at strategic points across the globe. The prospect of an all-out nuclear war was high on the list of people's fears, to the point that families were building fallout shelters in their backyards. They were scary times. So, could we possibly have predicted, back when we were cowering in our gardens, that the peaceful uses of atomic power would be what ultimately did us in? Could we have, at any time during the Contactee period, understood that 'beware the atom' meant exactly that? That our Space Brothers might have been advising us that atomic power, in any form, is Dangerous, and that we did not have the ability to control it? I think it's possible. I think we were given a very profound warning, and we didn't understand it. And now we're paying the price. Large swathes of Europe are still contaminated, 25 years later, by the fallout from Chernobyl. In a few short months the fallout from Fukushima has been swept high into the atmosphere and is now halfway across the United States. It's no secret that eventually the cloud will swathe the globe, and sadly there's nothing we can do about it. Except for building fallout shelters in our backyards, that is.

ocToBer 2010- MaRcH 2011 Warburton, Victoria, October 2010 I live in Warburton Victoria. About two weeks ago I went out to feed my dogs around 10pm, and as I bent over to start transferring the dog food from the can to the bowl I heard a very soft humming noise. I looked up straight away because that's where I could hear the noise coming from. Almost directly above me was a triangular-shaped UFO. I don't think that it was any higher than say 300-400m. I was astonished because a helicopter or commercial plane, even a single engine aeroplane, would have made a lot more noise than this. I dropped the can of food and ran into get my partner. She came out and caught a glimpse of it travelling north, but by this time it had travelled about a kilometre. It had four lights, and one of them flashed ten different colours. Upon talking to my partner she said she had seen exactly the same thing a few months earlier. It was very similar shaped to the Blackbird spy plane built by the USA. I love aircraft and have always thought of UFOs to be a bit of a joke but after this experience I am changed in my thinking.

Merrimac, Gold Coast, November 29 2010, 4.30pm On the 29th of November 2010, I had been on the computer at home most of the day just having a lazy day off from work. I was into a new PC game I had bought, so I was stuck to the computer screen at the time. Now I believe I am quite an intuitive person, and I listen to my thoughts and gut feelings a lot because usually it's right. Something in my mind told me to 'go outside', so I listened to the thought. I stopped playing the PC game, got up from my computer chair, walked to the upper balcony of our home and sat in a

4

chair and started gazing at the sky. I did all of this without even thinking about what I was doing. Something in my mind told me to do this so I did. The weird thing is I hardly ever go to the upper balcony of our home, only the lower. At our home we have a upper and lower balcony overlooking Burleigh Heads to Labrador, which provides a very broad view of the Gold Coast. Were we are we have a flight path for commercial aircraft that goes slightly over our home, north bound. And we also have a flight path for aircraft that do a fly by/approach for a Gold Coast Airport landing. I'm very familiar with this. I am a plane lover, and have loved everything about planes since a young age. I am also a former Virgin Blue Ground Crew staff member. I can tell the difference between an Airbus and a Boeing flying in the air by the sounds and shapes. I also know what a military or light aircraft looks like flying. They are nothing foreign to me. On this day the sky was quite clear with a few scattered clouds. Otherwise you could see a lot of blue sky. So I was sitting on this upper balcony, looking up at the sky. I was watching for at least five minutes or so when I saw something appear from over the roof of our house. It was flying quite low as I saw it go through some low clouds. It was in the shape of an egg/orb, almost like a flattened ball. It was white in colour, it had no wings, no sounds, and no sun reflections or shadows coming off the object (which you normally see on an aircraft). The object flew SW to NE, and was moving at a steady cruising speed. It flew from Merrimac to Bundall within the timespan of at least three minutes. This would have happened at approximately 4:30pm in the afternoon. I looked at it for as long as I could until it was a small speck in the distance. This

object was flying in its own flight path that no aircraft I know follows. The 10 years I have been at this property, I have never seen such a flight path.

Quirindi, NSW, early December 2010 It was somewhere between the 1st and 7th of December, 2010. I was standing outside around 11.00pm and it was overcast. I was looking up at the sky when I realised there was a diffuse circular light above my head, behind the clouds (or in the clouds). The light started to move around erratically -- left, right, forwards, back and so on, but staying above my head like it was trying to get my attention. It moved over on the other side of the sky, then it zipped back in an instant and over my head out of sight. When I first saw it I was puzzled and even though I was seeing this light I found it hard to believe what I was seeing. You probably understand the feeling well. Several years ago now I had a vision of aliens, a psychic vision. I've only had two visions that clear, one of the Egyptians and the Mayan aliens. Like you were watching them on TV.

Sunshine Coast, Sunday 16 January 2011, 8.40pm At approximately 8:40pm I went outside to take the dog to the toilet. In the western sky I saw a large orange fireball travelling in a northerly direction. It rose higher and eventually disappeared and faded away. This was too slow for a meteor and travelled in a planned trajectory. There was no sound or navigation lights so that rules out aircraft.

Toowong, Sunday February 20 2011, 12.40pm Today, Sunday 20th February 2011, at 12H40, we had Photograph ofan anobject objecttravelling seen nearin the Mossgiel, sky at highWestern speed in the in direction NSW, 2006 from Toowong to Mount Cootha.

ufO encounter

The thing is we did not see any object as such, but suddenly in the middle of the day, a craft travelling at high speed above our house blocked off the sunlight in the back yard, and in the yard after our back yard, covering the sides of the house, skylights, and the front of the house as if we were experiencing a fullon black-out, but in the middle of a very sunny day without any lights on. We only managed to get a glimpse of a fast travelling object rather close above the house, through a dark plexi-panel of the back deck. This object made no engine noise, and was travelling rather fast, no noise of plane, no noise of helicopter. We rushed outside but could see nothing else than a blue sky. At the same, a member of the family was shopping in Toowong and told us of a similar experience, thinking first instinctively that a cloud was blocking the sun, but as it moved fast realising it had to be something else. I wonder if someone else reported a similar incident. I'm not saying it is a UFO, not having seen the craft as such, but it was an odd experience that I cannot explain with the technology I'm aware we possess.

Bray Park, Sunday February 20, 7.00pm Last night, Sunday 20th February, at around 7pm in the evening, I am 'almost certain' I saw a fairly bright reddish star suddenly get dimmer, then disappear, in about two seconds. For some reason, I just happened to look up at that part of the eastern sky and notice the star just a few seconds before it vanished. I kept staring at that patch of sky, but I didn't see anything reappear. I was near Sparkes Road, Bray Park, in

the carpark of Holy Spirit church. Sorry it wasn't any more spectacular than that, but if I wasn't hallucinating, it must have been something rather unusual.

Logandale, March 1 2011 Hi, I've never encountered a UFO before so I'm not sure if this is one, but I do know that what I saw wasn't a plane or satellite. Last night me and my boyfriend got dinner and parked up a little dirt road next to a housing estate (Logandale). We were sitting on his truck tray looking at the stars when I spotted what I thought was a satellite. My first thought was ''wow that's a really defined satellite.'' it was a lot bigger and brighter then the ones I've seen in the past, and brighter then a star. It glowed a sort of off-white colour. Anyway it was moving pretty fast when it started to fade and brighten over and over. We then saw a really bright white light that looked like someone turned on high beams for a split second. Except it didn't flash. The only way I can describe it was like a light on a lighthouse, but it only went around once. It then flashed a bright red light for a split second then turned a very dull maroon colour. All the while it was glowing brighter and darker. You could sort of see a shape in the middle, but it was too far to see what it was. It was the most amazing, beautiful, and scary thing I have seen in my life!

Location unknown, March 12 2011, 7.00pm Hi, I have never reported a UFO sighting before but have witnessed them on three different occasions, the latest being tonight at approximately 7pm on 12th March 2011. I had just put my son and daughter to bed, their father had also just fallen asleep and I was sitting at my computer when the lights went

out suddenly for about 10 seconds, then came back on again. I got up to look for some candles in case of another blackout, and when I was in the laundry I looked over at next door's house to see if they had their lights on when I noticed just above their house four bright orange lights shaped into a square. I froze and just stared at them before they disappeared after about five seconds. Needless to say I immediately ran into to wake my partner up as I was shaking and had goosebumps.

Labrador, March 24/25 2011 We live in Labrador just behind the AFL football club. Last week, 24th or 25th March my husband was laying on bed watching the sky. He saw a silver craft (at first he thought it was a plane) flying from right to left. It stopped and formed as a cloud then melted into the blue sky. He then told me what he saw. I was excited about it because few years ago (probably two or three years) I saw the same thing on the M1 highway! So I sat down and stared at the position where he claimed the object melted, and ten minutes later it reappeared in front of my eyes and I yelled out: 'OMG It's back!' As soon as I finished the sentence it disappeared! We know what we saw because the sun was on our left side and the craft reflected the sun. There was no sound, nothing, when it appeared and disappeared. I've always suspect of them having cloaking device.

Biggenden, March, April, May For the past couple of months I've seen at least 15 moving orbs in the night sky. They disappear sometimes, then reappear, and some are brighter than

others. They look just like stars but they are not. Some are coming up from the night time bush horizon and looming in the sky. At the same time every night there are two things that are flying over my place. They don't make any sound and they are glowing red and flashing. They are first appearing as stars and will sit in the sky, then all of a sudden turn red and fly on the same route every night then disappear. Also I have seen strange flashes coming from the horizon underneath where the objects are hovering in the sky. My Mum who is 57 has also witnessed them. I'm out on a property in Biggenden QLD and you can see everything at night out here, and what I'm seeing every night isn't normally there! There have been articles in the Fraser Coast Chronicle about these lights and I'm wondering what the hell they are as they are just not going away!

Karukali, NSW, 2002 I would like to write to you about an experience I had in Northern NSW in 2002. I was with friends in the community of Karukali, Coopers Lane Main Arm. We were having a BBQ outside and it was on nightfall. After dinner everyone was talking. I turned to my partner at the time and mentioned the full moon. He told me that the full moon was last week, but I was adamant that it was rising. No one could understand what I was talking about. Then this disc came no more than five meters from us all. It was glowing, like silvery gold. I cannot describe the colour completely. It had a halo and moved very very slowly. It bounced in front of us like it was dancing and playing. We were all in awe and my friend was crying. Three small lights emerged from the larger light and moved around us and then to the cliffs behind us. The lights were apparent for over an hour. There were five of us present and we all saw them. Ever since this experience I have been seeing, whatever terminology you would like to refer to this as, 'UFO's, beings of light, extraterrestrials', and I am at times quite terrified of these experiences. This happened in 2002 and it is now 2011 and their presence is still contacting me to this day. I have never spoken to anyone about this for fear of a label of insanity.

Location unknown, date unknown (but it's an interesting story none-the-less!) My story starts when I was sitting in my lounge room watching TV with my 12 year old daughter sitting next to me reading her book, when she said, 'Dad, have you noticed that the ceiling light is

6

dimming?' I said I noticed it a while ago and found it strange because we do not have a dimmer. It became so dim that I decided to switch off the light as it may be faulty which could start an electrical fire. My wife and daughter and I called it a night and we all went to bed for the night. I think it was about 1.30am when I awoke to find that my wife had left the bed to go sleep in the lounge room because of my snoring. I went to check on her to see if she was okay, and as I was walking down the hallway towards the lounge room I noticed the ceiling light was on. I thought my wife must have turned it on and left it on, so I went to turn it off. To my surprise the switch was already off. As I walked away from the switch the light turned off. As I bent down to wake my wife, a bright light appeared in front of me for a spilt second then vanished. I really thought nothing much about the two incidents and went to give my wife a shake when the light appeared again then disappeared again. I thought it might be ball lighting, so I went to have a look outside the house. As I turned to go outside another light appeared then vanished like the other two. The lights were the size of a twenty cent piece. When they vanished they seemed to have a shock wave around them that doubled their size. I decided to leave well enough alone and retired back to my bedroom, but did not try to sleep as I could not stop thinking what these lights were and the strange behaviour of the ceiling light. I must have been laying there for an hour when for a fraction of a second the entire bedroom was lit up by a light so bright that it left me quite concerned. Not knowing what to do about something you have no control over I lay there for a few more minutes. Then the light returned, but this time it lasted for about three seconds and was so incredibly bright I could not see anything else It took me about five seconds to get out of the room and check on my family. I went to get my wife up from her sleep then went to get my daughter from her room. As I was doing this my wife passed by my daughter's bedroom were I was and continued to our bedroom. I took my daughter to our bedroom and the two of them slept while I stayed awake for the remainder of the night. The next morning I told my wife what had happened and as always she gave me one of those looks. My daughter thought it strange we were sitting outside and came to us and said 'What are you guys talking about?' My sceptic wife said to her 'oh nothing, Dad thinks he saw lights in the house last night that's why we all ended in bed together.' My daughter then said that she had also seen the lights but thought it was one of us

playing with the ceiling lights by turning them on and off really fast. This comment then jogged my wife's memory as she told us she thought I was in the master bedroom walk-in wardrobe turning the lights on and off, but now can remember me standing over my daughter waking her. I have seen the smaller light on one other occasion, this time outside the house just before sunset, and as the other time it disappeared with a small shock wave appearance. What ever this was it had intelligence. It seemed to know what it was doing and could manipulate light.

Traralgon, Victoria, August 2005 I have always wondered about this event and I decided to look up UFO sightings tonight and was surprised to see someone else had a similar experience on the same night in Traralgon. I wrote it down so I would not forget it. A most interesting thing happened on Saturday August 7 2005 as we were heading home. We were driving along the highway (from Traralgon to our house which is around 7kms away near the Latrobe Regional Hospital) at around 10:30pm when my husband suddenly said, "David, (my young son who was 9 years old) look above in the sky." I looked up and saw a perfect circular ring with perfect circular cloud rings, and it followed our car at the same speed we were travelling, on our left side. It was about twenty feet high and looked like this [see image right]. The drawing does no justice. Imagine the circles being perfect and they were clouds. There were no cars in front, behind or on the side in another road. As we turned right towards the airport road from the highway towards our place, the circle followed us. We turned left, it followed us left until we took the car inside the garage. We got out of the garage and outside, the cloud formation was about eight feet above the garage, perfect in formation and I was surprised to see that the circles were made of cloud, inside the massive cloud, and were swirling in unison like a figure eight. Inside the circles it was black, ie. you could see straight through each circle into the night sky. There was no beam above or below. It was pitch dark and no clouds were visible above it, and the object was totally silent and I felt like I was being watched. It was really eerie as I have never seen anything like this before. The most amazing thing was seeing those clouds swirling in perfect unison, making perfect circles. Coming home, the circle that followed us went past clouds and did not disappear as it flew under clouds. My sister said that her son's friend also saw it from Traralgon

South and text messaged immediately to find out what it was. Someone claims that it was the disco lights from the Astro Dome, but every Saturday we go through the same highway around this time to come home and we have never seen this. How is it that a light from a disco place can follow you and at such a long distance? There were no light beams on it, it was a cloud that followed us. How is it that it stopped above the garage and had those cloud rings moving perfectly? I cannot figure this out and am happy that someone else reported it. I wonder whether this sighting is common elsewhere around the world. I never reported it because I haven't come across this before.

Temora, NSW, 1968 I experienced three crop circles in 1968 on our farm in NSW between Temora, Young, Grenfell and Barmedmund. I realize you get a lot of email but this is a true story. I heard about crop circles in the 70's but none before so when the internet became available I researched and found the crop circle in Queensland. It was good to know I was not alone in

Australia. I did not know what they were until reports started coming in the 70's. When I was in 2nd form (age 13 in 1968) my homework was to document a full lunar cycle, which is easy in such a remote location with very little rain, no cloud cover and the nearest towns all over 30 miles away. While I did this I started seeing strange lights so I got my sister to come out each night with me. We watched these UFO's nightly in the black sky. They changed from green to red and back again frequently. They moved up and down and in unusual patterns - darting here and there in extremely fast ways. We were a bit scared. People tell me it must have been aeroplanes, which is funny as we had none out there. Part way through the month we decided to go crayfishing in the bottom dam and set off through a paddock that Dad had sown with wheat, which he only did once -- in that year 1968. Not far into the paddock we came across three identical circles in the crop, in a line. They were amazing! They were about 30

feet across (it was before metric conversion). The wheat was swirled flat in a clockwise direction. Every wheat straw (they were ripe) was either flat or upright -- there was no in between, no breakage and in perfect patterns. In the centre of each circle was a cone shaped like a V into the crop and soil. The cone had traces of black substance that was filmy with no smell and it was gone the next day. The next day when we went back I was strangely relaxed and it all felt 'right'. My sister did not feel this and has virtually obliterated it from her memory. I had vague recollections of being in a funny building but it was not scary like everyone was saying back then. I drowned at the age of five and I was put back in my body by beautiful beings of light - - big circles of light that told me to go back and gently put me back in. I now associate these Beings with those circles and UFOs. I have no fear of them at all. Over the last 20 years I have had more and more memories of these Beings come back to me, and I have also had more memories of the craft. I understand now that those three circles were only visible because of the crop being sewn there that year (just the once due to it being an open paddock near the house). I think they used that spot to come and go a lot. I can interact with these Beings and recently a discussion with them told us that Australia was the first to be hit starting in December 2010 followed closely by the rest of the world. Mountains will slide and there will be great loss. They hold the Buddha Boy Ramm in very high esteem and as my abilities to interact with them have increased they address me as a group. They have been telling me for the last 10 years that all change will come through water in many many ways. I was taken (during a supposedly ordinary meditation) into black granite tunnels to

meet with some special 'other' Beings, which I did and they showed me a strange device which created power. One being was ET and very familiar. When I came out of that meditation I was 'homesick' for weeks. I can 'feel' earthquakes and bad events before they happen. These light Beings now refer to themselves as the Shining Ones -- which I looked up. Not many of the pictures look like the Beings I know. Big Violet, introduced himself as Paul so I could cope

Conondale Valley, late 1970s In the late 1970s, my wife and myself were living in a concrete block shed at the end of a road in the Conondale Valley. Our nearest neighbour was about three kilometres away. We were woken in the early hours of the morning by a blinding white light filling the inside of the building. The stable doors were closed at the time and the shed only had small windows. We were very frightened but we went out to investigate. About 30 metres uphill from the shed and about 15 metres above the ground were two lights about three metres high pulsing from orange to green. I asked my wife to hand me the binoculars, which she did. I could make out the underside of a craft. The craft moved off slowly up the valley. My neighbours on the other side of the valley had also experienced the white lights inside their building about 12 months prior to this.

Waterford, mid-1990s We were living at Jimboomba and my mother was on her way back from Bingo and was travelling through Waterford at about 10.30pm when the whole car was enveloped in a green light. It kept with her for a couple of minutes and then just disappeared. Needless to say she was shaking after it happened. I don't know why she didn't tell me, although I was still a child back then, but she told my Dad. She originally thought that it was some kind of plane coming down, then she thought it was some kind of military aircraft. It was only after the light disappeared that she thought it may have been a UFO.

Gold Coast, date unknown, 4.30am My husband (who is a sceptic) and I have returned from a holiday on the Gold Coast. We stayed at the Imperial Surf Hotel on the 17th floor. At approximately 4.30am I happened to be awake looking out to sea when I noticed a very bright light. I thought it was a star, until I noticed a large circle pulsate around the light. It then moved, much to my shock, inside an orb (circle of light), and a smaller fast-moving light kept rotating in the circle.

8

I woke my husband up and we went out onto the balcony to see what it was. We had a pair of binoculars and noticed It was a very strange object. The only thing I can relate it to is when Nemo (the animated movie) hid in the weeds. Through the binoculars we could see round tube like things that were all clumped together. The bottom colour of the tubes was a brown, half way up they were white, and the tips were a lavender colour. When the object rotated, the rear of it looked like a flat plate with pulsating lines going through it. No, we had not been drinking, my husband is 67 and I am 61.

Byron Bay, 2008 I just wanted to drop you a line in regards to the circles (crop/sand circles) on the beach at Byron [back in 2005]. I have lived in the local area for about 30 years on and off, and my first thought was "Oh some hippies have just carved them in the sand one night." This could be the case. However I have a weird story about the beach in Byron. To be very clear I am not a cosmic/ new age etc Byron person. I am quite conservative and live at nearby Tintenbar. One day about three years ago, myself and my wife were walking along the beach in Byron from Captain Cook lookout to the Pass to surf. Somewhere around the Thompsons rocks area I ducked to get under some fishing line. I thought it was odd as it is a very busy section of beach and not a good fishing spot. When I had a look around though, there was no-one fishing. I kept looking at the line and realised it didn't seem to come from anywhere and did not have a bow in it -- it was dead straight and was changing position. I thought I was seeing things so asked my wife if she could see it and she was able to describe it exactly. It was hard to focus on and kept jumping

around, but it was a very very thin line of light. There were other people on the beach who did not seem to notice, including a hippy looking man with a blond beard who had a strange look on his face. His body movements were very calm however his head was sightly raised and his face was very red as if with exertion. I noticed him because he seemed to be very close t the source of the lines of light. Not much else to tell other than none of it makes sense. The original line went from the beach out to sea, and then I focused on one that was parallel to where I was walking. It was about a metre or less off the ground and about ten to twenty metres long. I don't know whether it was the same one or different. Anyhow just thought I would like to tell someone as I thought of it when viewing the beach circle photos.

Cairns, 1992 For the first time in my life I have access to a laptop, hence the long delay with this report. In early 1992 I was watching TV. It was 9.50pm, and I was waiting for the 10 o'clock news to start when my little dog wanted to go out. I took her out the front, and looked up at a blaze of stars - they where so bright and clear. I noticed a V-shape coming over my head, so black and solid it blocked out the stars above it. It was moving very slowly and it kept getting bigger, blocking more and more stars. It made no noise what-so-ever as it moved slowly north, and as the rear became visible I could clearly see it was a triangle. It had a white light on the front point, a green on the left, and a red on the right, the opposite to our navigation lights. There where dim white lights higgledy piggledy underneath, which to me looked like windows. It looked huge and was as silent as a balloon drifting slowly across the sky. I watched in awe as it headed towards a low hill that I know to be less than 1000ft high, and I was certain it was going to hit it. I was startled yet glad to see it glide over the top. This suggested to me that it was even higher and larger than I thought. As it disappeared I stood stunned for a while, then remembered my dog. It took me by surprise to find her way down the street. I took her inside and was amazed to see it was now 10.40pm and I had missed the news. Sitting there I suddenly thought 'What the hell happened out there?' So I went back out but saw nothing but the stars. I could not believe it next day when nothing was said in The Cairns Post. I must I have been the only person looking up in Cairns that night.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL PROPHETS as a FORCE for CHANGE Sheryl Gottschall

In religion, a prophet is a person who has encountered the supernatural or the divine, often being one who serves as an intermediary with humanity. Historically prophets have taught people how to live within certain guidelines and warned of dire consequences if their teachings were not followed. In this way prophets have passed on valuable knowledge and provided a model of living for the human race. This passing on of teachings has also been recorded to have occurred with beings outside the human race, in fact outside our solar system. In the 21 st century visits by gods, deities, angels, etc throughout our history are being reinterpreted by some as visitations or contact with extraterrestrials. This reinterpretation has established a new context woven from the synthesis of history, science and anthropology that affords us the ability to re-examine the impact an extraterrestrial existence might have had on our planets history. For example, in Graham Hancock’s book, Supernatural, it’s stated that less than 50,000 years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change described by scientists as ‘the greatest riddle in human history’, all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. Where did they come from? How did they appear so rapidly, and why? Could it be that life beyond Earth has been influencing our development? Could ETs have been ‘fiddling’ with human evolution all along?

ufO encounter

Some UFO researchers have suggested that ETs may be covertly influencing the human race to move us past a dangerous stage of our development where we’ve yet to learn when it’s best to leave dangerous discoveries alone. Having achieved a certain stage we can then enter the cosmic phase of our evolution where we can experience open interplanetary relations with ETs. It’s also been suggested that to do this, first our society will have to undergo a transformation where our behaviour is in accordance with those more advanced than us, where a minimal benchmark in our behaviour and practices has to be attained before we can mingle with our cosmic neighbours. But could ET be giving us a few prods along the way to keep us on track? It’s been interesting to me that during the 1950s and ‘60s, while western civilization was undergoing a huge social transformation, there was an explosion in UFO sightings around the world. Not only that, but people who reported close encounters, contactees as they were called then, began speaking out, adding to that social transformation with their ET contact messages. The theme of these messages was – be at peace with each other, love for the greater brotherhood of man, and value all life. Curiously, these messages became the central feature of the contactee movement whose aims matched those of emerging social movements of the time, such as the peace movement, nuclear disarmament, environmental movement, the green revolution, student protest movement, civil rights and the counter-culture (hippie) movement.

Other messages came in the form of warnings from the ET visitors about the planet and its environment and, if you like, they could be called the original “greenies”. Some gave warnings about the unbalanced evolution of our technology combined with a lack of spiritual wisdom. Others warned against war-like behaviour and generally the way we treat the planet and each other. Harmony, unity and peace were the tag words, not just with other humans but with all life. Furthermore, ET messages challenged our notions of human existence, describing their worlds as being free of war and disease, having no religion as we would understand it but rather a spiritually philosophical approach that was aligned with a natural law that still remains unrecognised by humanity today. ETs understood reality to have far more dimensions than we are currently aware of, and a sense of how to work within natural laws to create a harmonious way of life for themselves which was also beneficial to the greater ‘universal environment’. Accounts from ETs of their worlds might seem utopian compared to ours, but they often explained that they had just been around a bit longer and worked a few things out, which we could do too if we heeded their advice. They held up a “handbook for dummies” on human evolution and we could use it or toss it, the choice was ours. It was vitally important to them that we did our own homework, understanding that lasting change in a society comes about when you invest in the work yourself. But perhaps that

9

didn’t prevent them from giving us a good prod when we needed it. There’s no doubt that if these messages from ‘extraterrestrial prophets’ had been acted on the world would be a far better place than it is at present, but one wonders to what extent these contacts with ETs might have moved us in different directions. Intriguingly, close encounter ‘experiencers’, as they’ve become known today, seem to undergo a transformation due to their experiences and some of those changes heighten their social concerns and activism. So the question arises, have these changes within them been directed by an extraterrestrial source? Has a certain awareness been injected into their psyches, and has this ‘nudge’ of a handful of people around the world had a flow-on effect to our greater society? To consider this further, let’s look at examples of the contactees and the messages they passed on to humanity. In contactee George Adamski’s book Inside the Spaceships, an ET states, “Our main purpose in coming to you at this time is to warn you of the grave danger which threatens men of Earth today. In your first meeting with our Brother here, he indicated to you that the exploding of bombs on Earth was of interest to us. Even though the power and radiation from the test explosions has not yet gone out beyond your Earth’s sphere of influence, these radiations are endangering the life of men on Earth. A decomposition will set in, in time, that will fill your atmosphere with the deadly elements which your scientists and your military men have confined into what you term “bombs”. In contactee Orfeo Angelucci’s book, The Secret of the Saucers Story, the ETs said “The aggressive men of Earth want our scientific advancements. For these they would shoot our crafts from the skies. But additional scientific knowledge we cannot give to Earth except as we are now doing in a manner perfectly in accord and harmony with cosmic law. Already man’s material knowledge has far outstripped the growth of brotherly love and spiritual understanding in his heart. Therein lies the present danger. To add to the destructive phase of man’s scientific knowledge is not permitted. We are working to turn that knowledge to constructive purposes upon Earth. Also we hope to give men a deeper

10

knowledge and understanding of their true nature and a greater awareness of the evolutionary crisis facing them at present”. During 1965-66, contactee Daniel Fry founded an organisation called ‘Understanding’. Fry was very concerned with the peace movement. At one stage the organisation proposed to undertake a research project to study national and international Peace organisations which involved writing to various peace groups for their literature, determining their specific purposes and approaches to peace, detailing their accomplishments to date, summarizing the research briefly and then collect it

for distribution to every member of the organisation. Reading his “Understanding” newsletters that were published from 1956 to 1989, the main thread that ran through them was world peace. These are a just a few samples of ET messages and how they manifested in the lives of those that passed them on. These contactees did a great service to their society and in doing so faced much ridicule and rejection at the time. They died lonely and broken men, but they recognised the value in the messages. Mark Satin, America’s most public draft dodger, while jailed in the 70s, was one of the f irst to predict from the convergence of social and consciousness movements that a new people were about to emerge. He wrote that “change comes from the fringes of society, where the real beginnings, the real rediscoveries often take place. They are front and centre standing in our midst.” Well, how true a prediction he might have made. Huge

social reforms occurred in our society particularly in the ‘50s and ‘60s against a backdrop of UFO sightings that skyrocketed off the charts. The reforms were enormous, lightning fast and uncharacteristic in relation to previous social development. Messages of the contactees gave warnings about our social development and advice on how to improve our future which directly reflected the aims of the new social movements. In the Roper Report, a study undertaken in 1991, we find the group of people who report alien abduction experiences are the political social actives in our society. In the Omega Project by Dr Ken Ring, we find people who report alien abductions are transformed by their experiences to develop a strong social conscience. There is no doubt there is a quiet revolution of values afoot in the western world with the potential to change the planet. The social movements that emerged in the ‘50s and ‘60s, contactee accounts and modern day close encounter experiencers are forcing us to confront our unrealised potential, spreading it on to our wider society like a drop of ink in a jar of water. Our buttons are being pushed, moving us in certain directions. A huge social reform is flowing on to our dealings, perspectives and approaches to others in and from different countries, so we start to think of planet Earth as a global village. We are also starting to think of it as only one of many in our universe. It appears that someone has been going to a lot of trouble to steer us in a specific direction that is closer to the ET societies that have been described to us. We could be witnessing the evidence of inspiration, prompting and even participation by members of ET societies in this ‘grassroots’ development. The forces prompting us might understand that change occurring without the support of ‘the people at large’ is fleeting at best and will not last. People have to want it and have to get involved for great changes to be permanent. At this stage what seems to be asked of us is to find the courage to cooperate with these prods instead of resisting them. That might be what we really need to do to have the best outcome for everyone concerned. The popular slogan from the Peace movement of the 60s was – ‘If the people will lead…..the leaders will follow.’ The question for us then is -- Will we take the lead?

the gifts that keep on giving…

Lee Paqui

Back in the good old days, whenever western explorers visited new cultures they took with them gifts. Usually these gifts were glass beads and iron nails. Very useful things, beads and nails. But rather peculiar that the most significant items of western civilisation that the Captain Cooks of the world took with them were the most throw-away items of their time. And now it seems we are poised once again on the threshold of contact with new civilisations, only this time the tables are turned. So what kinds of gifts would, or should, an extraterrestrial visitor to Earth bestow upon humanity…apart from beads and nails? It’s easy to assume that ET, being highly technologically advanced (after all, they probably arrived here in the kinds of interstellar vehicles our scientists can only dream about), should of course share with us their advancements.

exist – because, they opine, if ET existed, he would have helped us out by now. Er… wouldn’t he? Our immaturity as a race is reflected in this kind of thinking – like overgrown and sulky children, we’re waiting for somebody to come and rescue us. We know exactly what sorts of gifts we would like our ET brethren to bring, because we’d rather take the easy route rather than struggle to learn these things on our own. But you know what? ET knows that we’re overgrown sulky children, and that they can’t trust us with anything. Give us a toy, and we’ll beat somebody over the head with it. Give us new technology, and we’ll work out

Our ET contacts disappeared after that. They didn’t leave us any toys to play with, didn’t give us anything to help alleviate our so-called ‘suffering’. Like dismayed and embarrassed relatives, they left us fighting with each other and off they went. And so we were back on our own. Back to squabbling amongst ourselves, back to thinking we were alone in the universe, and back to denying the possible existence of ET altogether.

They should show us how to make free energy, how to harness nature, defy gravity, make it rain, make it shine, clean up our atmosphere and save the whales. And couldn’t they cure cancer, regrow our damaged organs, eradicate disease, help us live longer and oh, how about looking at male pattern baldness and this whole business of wrinkly skin while they’re at it?

how to blow somebody up with it. Does anybody really think it is worth ET’s while to be kind to us and usher us into a new advanced age?

That’s what they should be doing, isn’t it? And it’s exactly those sentiments that skeptics and nay-sayers like to throw out as proof that ET doesn’t

Back in the 1950s, the first really noticeable wave of extraterrestrial visitors to our blue planet occurred. The contactee cases of George

ufO encounter

Adamski, George van Tassel and Howard Menger brought us accounts of kindly ETs who had come here to give us important information from the Great Beyond. But the 1950s was the era of the Cold War. We’d just ended World War II in a somewhat spectacular and violent fashion, and the major powers on this planet were still dabbling in warfare, both overt and covert. What a time for ET to choose to visit, and what an impression we must have made.

No wonder that the next time ET decided to make contact, they did it by stealth. The 1960s saw an increase in the ET ‘ a b d u c t i o n ’ phenomenon, whereby people reported that they had been taken from their cars or their homes by small grey beings (generally speaking, because they aren’t always small, and they aren’t always grey) and taken aboard UFOs. Once they were on board these UFOs, the abductees (as people who were abducted have come to be known), were subjected to a bewildering array of what seemed

11

to be medical tests. Skin samples were taken, body fluid was collected, eyes were peered into. That kind of stuff. But, strangely, this was also when our ET visitors started giving us gifts. Nothing physical – nothing you could put into your pocket and carry away, nothing you could show your friends to prove you had been in an alien spacecraft, nothing to show the scientists that life on other planets existed. No, nothing like that. They started giving us magical things. They began to show us the way. Abductees started coming back from their experiences with more than just strange stories to tell. They began to be profoundly changed on a spiritual level as a result of their extraterrestrial contact. Their psychic abilities began to develop. Some found they had a new interest in the healing arts – some even developed healing powers. Abductees began to report an increasing concern about environmental issues and many became vegetarians and social activists, literally overnight. Their artistic abilities developed spontaneously – they began to write

and to draw and to make the world beautiful. They found an increase in spiritual and paranormal encounters – they could now see auras and predict the future, and they became aware of the multi-dimensional nature of space. And some abductees returned from their encounters with a sense of emptiness, as though they had been sent in search of something, as though they were looking for a kind of ‘universal truth’ that simply couldn’t be found on this planet. They began to see the world in a different way, and to see all humanity as part of a cosmic clan – that we are somehow connected to everything. Abductees also reported being shown traumatic scenes of destruction. They were shown great disasters – either on our planet or another, none of them could say. In these visions they saw violent earthquakes and floods, and civilisations falling into ruins. The feelings these visions left the abductees with were traumatic and distressing, but they believed strongly in the message – that if humanity doesn’t get control of itself, if it doesn’t cease to burden the earth with filth and suck it dry of its

resources, then these disasters will befall us all. This is one of the most difficult ‘gifts’ for abductees to interpret, and it is also the hardest for them to ignore. So what are these gifts all about? There is speculation that humanity is being prepared for the next step in spiritual evolution. That we are having our vibratory frequencies altered in order to make the transition to the next level as seamless as possible. That there are great changes in store for the human race, and that ET is helping some of us prepare for them. And if you think about it, it makes sense. The first gift our cosmic brothers gave us was the gift of civilisation. The Sky People, the Star People, the Gods, the Ancients – call them what you will – gave to us our first creative spark and the desire to become more than we were. Without their intervention it’s likely we would still be scrabbling about in caves. And now it seems they have returned to give us a new creative spark, and are sending us on our next journey forward. Slowly ushering us towards enlightenment. Is that not a better gift than beads and nails?

The Zeta Message by

JUDY CARROLL AND HELENE KAYE The Zeta Message is the non-fiction story of Brisbane author Judy Carroll’s lifelong contact with the grey ETs know a ‘Zetas.’ It provides a detailed account of an average Australian family who, in the year 2000, suddenly found themselves caught up in a full-on and seemingly frightening contact involving mysterious flashing lights, black-clad figures appearing in bedrooms, and children waking screaming in terror. Introduced by a mutual friend, Judy assisted this family to open up to deeper levels of understanding as the fear barrier was gradually broken down to reveal incredible depths of wisdom, love and conscious awareness. Co-authored by Helene Kaye, the mother of the family involved, and with a powerful Forward by American Psychologist Janet Colli PhD (an associate of the late Dr John Mack), The Zeta Message is excitingly different in that, for the first time, answers and explanations are provided on the reasons and meaning behind the so-called ‘Alien Abduction’ experience. A companion volume based on Carrolls’ first two books and entitled Human by Day, Zeta by Night, dramatises the events herein described in a fictional manner. The vehicle of story-telling has enabled the author to bring a lifetime of varied experiences, understanding and knowledge together in a more coherent and condensed way for ease of reading. It has also been a way to convey concepts that otherwise would lose much in the translation from Zeta to Earth human reality. The Zeta Message and Human by Day, Zeta by Night are published in America by Wild Flower Press (Granite/5th World Publishing), and are available through Amazon. UFO MYSTERY DEEPENS 4 March, 2011 The Northern Star, Goonellabah, NSW, http://tinyurl.com/4w527fj

Maryborough’s UFO phenomenon remains unsolved after government authorities and weather experts yesterday failed to explain strange orange lights sighted by hundreds of residents during the past week. The Chronicle was bombarded with phone calls, emails and visitors all day yesterday after publishing a story on the hovering objects, which appeared in the night sky above the city last Thursday, Friday, Saturday and yesterday. While all residents had similar descriptions of the glowing balls of light and their slow movements back and forth across the sky, the story did take quite an eerie twist – no one was able to successfully capture the unidentified objects with a camera. “My partner, my brother and I all saw the lights. I tried to film them on my phone, but when I later looked at the footage nothing showed up – very strange,” Phil and Karina said in an email. “I took a very magnified photo of the last single orange orb, but it does not seem to have come out on my camera,” Martine said. “It was very weird ... (the lights) did not seem to be flying too high above us.” Greg said: “We saw four lights in a group, I tried to take photos with my camera, but they didn’t come up. “I grabbed my binoculars to try and get a better look. It was queer ... while I could see a string of lights without the binoculars, when I looked through the binoculars I could only see one light.” UFO Research Queensland sightings officer Martin Gottschall, who has studied UFOs for more than 30 years, said he had received reports about orange balls of lights moving over Maryborough. “It could well be UFO activity. They (UFOs) are pretty clever at camouflaging themselves and making themselves look like conventional objects.” As for the objects not showing up in photographs, Mr Gottschall said it seemed as though extraterrestrial craft could“make light do things that we haven’t learnt yet”. “People have theorised that maybe the force field around the UFO somehow affects the way in which ordinary light like infrared shows up. For example, when people take photos of what they think is a UFO and there’s an aircraft nearby, the aircraft will come out defined while the UFO is hazy.” A Fraser Coast Regional Council spokesman

ufO encounter

said it was unlikely the lights were caused by aircraft using the Maryborough Airport. “There’s nothing out of the usual happening at the airport.” A spokesman from the Bureau of Meteorology said yesterday he “could not think of anything weather-wise that would cause something like that” and directed the Chronicle to two different Queensland UFO organisations. The Australian Army was contacted but did not respond to a suggestion the bright lights could have come from its Wide Bay Training Area at Tin Can Bay. An Australian man sent by“the lights”to unify humans are among thousands of UFO claims made to the UK Ministry of Defence. The previously classified files were this week released for the first time by the National Archives and contain more than 8500 pages revealing how UFO sightings and alien abductions have been discussed by the world’s most powerful governments. The document haul, which is the largest government file release of its kind in the UK, include eyewitness accounts of unidentified flying objects across Britain, Norway and even Australia. One member of the British public, whose name has been removed from the file, wrote to the Ministry of Defence in 2001 demanding they investigate an alleged US and Australian cover-up of flying objects seen at the Pine Gap space station near Alice Springs. Documents in the file claim footage taken from the Space Shuttle Discovery Mission on September 15, 1991,show“what appears to be around a dozen objects moving in the area of the orbiter” as it travels above Pine Gap.“Suddenly, the objects stop moving and there is a `flash’ seen and all the objects then move off on different routes,” the document says. Seconds later, two streaks shoot out from the earth. The document then says NASA later explained the“objects”as debris illuminated by the sun. In a letter to the person who called for the inquiry into the sightings, the MoD admitted they could only offer a disappointing reply”. “There are some aspects, which for reasons of national security are just not open for discussion,” an MoD official wrote. In regards to the sightings and activities at Pine Gap, the MoD official replied: “We can neither

confirm nor deny UK interest in intelligence that emanates from this station”. In another file, an insistent London motherof-three claimed she spent two decades being visited by “the lights”.Calling herself a “have seen”, or someone who has met aliens, she said she had her first encounter with“the lights”in the middle of her divorce. In a letter dated 1998, the woman, whose name has been removed, writes that aliens chose her second husband -- an Australian man. “He is Australian (white) and I am Barbadian (black); quite opposite to each other,” she writes.“We were being brought together to represent the Unity between the Opposite Forces - the positive and negative forces.” At the time of the letter, the woman had been happily married to her Australian husband for 16 years and they had a teenage daughter and were continuing their work for “the lights” by uniting the human race. The woman stressed that extraterrestrial beings were revealing themselves to humans so abundantly “because something significant is about to happen to the human race. Ignore them at your peril”. 100 REVIEW SCIENTISTS ALIEN LIFE’CLAIM March 7 2011, http://au.news.yahoo.com/ queensland/a/-/world/8962136/100review-scientist-alien-life-claims/

A NASA scientist’s claim that he found tiny fossils of alien life in the remnants of a meteorite has stirred both excitement and scepticism, and is being closely reviewed by 100 experts. Richard Hoover’s paper, along with pictures of the microscopic earthworm-like creatures, were published in the peerreviewed Journal of Cosmology, which is available free online. Hoover sliced open fragments of several types of carbonaceous chondrite meteorites, which can contain relatively high levels of water and organic materials, and looked inside with a powerful microscope. He found bacteria-like creatures that he calls “indigenous fossils”, which he believes originated beyond earth and were not introduced here after the meteorites landed. “He concludes these fossilised bacteria are not earthly contaminants but are the fossilised remains of living organisms which lived in the parent bodies of these meteors, e.g. comets, moons, and other astral bodies,”said the study.“The

13

implications are that life is everywhere, and that life on earth may have come from other planets.” Studies that suggest alien microbes can be contained in meteorites are not new, and have drawn hefty debate over how such life could survive in space and how and where life may have originated in the universe. The journal’s editor in chief, Rudy Schild of the Center for Astrophysics, Harvard-Smithsonian, said Hoover is a “highly respected scientist and astrobiologist with a prestigious record of accomplishment at NASA. Given the controversial nature of his discovery, we have invited 100 experts and have issued a general invitation to over 5000 scientists from the scientific community to review the paper and to offer their critical analysis.” UFOS PHOTOGRAPHED OVER MOUNT FUJI February 10, 2011, Epoch Times, New York, http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/ content/view/50977/

A group of UFOs were photographed [below] over Mount Fuji in Japan on January 7, Japanese media reported this week. Japan News Network, citing an article published in Fuji Evening News on Feb. 8, said scenery photographer Takubo Masato, 67, of Funabashi, Chiba, took photographs of Mount Fuji around 2.00pm. on January 7.

A group of flying objects appeared in the photographs, but at the time Masato thought they were a flock of swan geese. However, when he magnified the photographs at home, he found that the flying objects were all in the shape of hemispheres and emitting silver lights. “After I went home I examined the pictures, and discovered that [the flying objects] were connected black dots. After magnification they looked like light-emitting silver objects. When taking the photographs [I] did not notice them at all.” According to Japanese newspaper Sankei Shimbun.Takubo sent the photographs to famous UFO expert Yaoi Junichi, and Junichi thinks the objects are likely a fleet of UFOs, because their sizes, estimated by comparison with Mount Fuji, are clearly much larger than birds. UNEXPLAINED OBJECT CAPTURED ON CAMERA NEAR BENDIGO 13 January, 2011, Bendigo Advertiser, http:/ /tinyurl.com/4w9fprg

A Woodvale stargazer has captured a series of extraordinary photographs of what he says could be an unidentified flying object hovering above Bendigo. Forty-eight-year-old Colin Davis told the Bendigo Advertiser he spotted the object last Saturday night (January 8) between midnight and 5am. Mr Davis, who is a retired camera operator, said he was standing at the back door of his home, facing west, when he noticed something strange in the sky. “At first, I thought it was a bright star and it appeared to follow the same path,” he said.“But I kept watching and once the sun started to come up it remained very bright and I realised I was looking at something very different.” Mr Davis said he had previously been sceptical of UFO sightings, but the extraordinary encounter had turned him into a believer. “Don’t ask me who was driving that thing, but there was definitely something unexplainable hovering overhead,” he said.

Discovery, Science and Technology Centre Bendigo planetarium co-ordinator Craig Kendal said there could be a more simple explanation.“It’s possible the flying object was in fact Sirius, the brightest star in the sky,” Mr Kendal said. Mr Davis said a similar flying object was spotted by NASA satellite cameras conducting the space tether experiment in 2007. The experiment, which was a joint venture between the US and Italy, called for a large spherical satellite to be deployed from a US space shuttle at the end of a 20-kilometrelong conducting cable tether. During the experiment, a UFO, of similar appearance to that sighted by Mr Davis, was filmed approaching the tether before flying out of screen.“I compared the images with footage from a YouTube clip titled ‘tether NASA’,”Mr Davis said.“And what was astounding was the similarity in the shapes, markings and hole formations on both the flying objects.” Bendigo Airport manager Bridget Conroy said that to her knowledge no aircraft, including helicopters, were in flight from midnight to 4am on Saturday. MONSTER’ PLAGUES KAROO TOWN http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/ News/Steytlerville-monster-strikes-again20110425

Johannesburg - A ‘monster’ plaguing the sleepy Karoo town of Steytlerville struck again over the Easter weekend, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.Another two sightings of the “shape-shifting creature” were reported on Sunday evening, said Warrant Officer Zandisile Nelani . “Two men were walking near a tavern when they saw a man wearing a black jacket. One of the men, identified only as Nozipho, went up to the stranger and asked him,“What is your problem?” said Nelani. When the stranger did not respond, Nozipho went closer and saw that the man had no head. The man then turned into a dog that was “very angry” and “as big as a cow”, Nelani said. He said that as Nozipho and his friend ran away, the monster allegedly turned on another group of people in the same road.

“They said it turned into a big monkey, and then it was gone,” Nelani said. He said that since the monster was spotted near the tavern, people were afraid to go there at night. Last week police were told by residents that the monster changed shape while one looked at it. One man had reported that it changed from a man wearing a suit into a pig and then into a bat. There had also been rumours that the monster could fly. Previously, the monster had only been spotted near the church. It had even been seen peering through the windows during a service, but had vanished by the time the congregation came outside. Nelani said that the community had dubbed the monster “Bawokozi”,meaning ‘brother-in-law’. Sightings of the monster began over a month ago when it was seen by mourners attending two separate funerals. Nelani said the community requested a meeting with police because they were frightened of it. Police agreed to work with residents, but asked them to try to take a photograph of it as evidence. UFOs, angels and other supernatural phenomena, which people may encounter in their lives, can only be a result of hallucinations, NASA specialists said. However, stories about such encounters, told by pilots, cosmonauts and astronauts, become classified immediately. In 1985, there were six crewmembers on board the Soviet Salyut-7 space station. They were cosmonauts Leonid Kizim, Oleg Atkov, Vladimir Solovyov, Svetlana Savitskaya, Igor Volk and Vladimir Jannibekov. That day, the cosmonauts were doing their routine work connected with laboratory experiments. All of a sudden, a cloud of strange orange gas enveloped the station. A flash of bright light blinded all the cosmonauts on board for a while. As soon as they could see again, the cosmonauts saw silhouettes of seven figures outside the station. The aliens looked like humans, but were of higher stature. They also had large wings behind their backs and luminous halos above their heads. The creatures looked like angels. The crew reported the bizarre sight to the Earth. The document was classified as top secret immediately. All members of the crew were subsequently subjected to psychological and medical tests, which found no abnormalities at all. It was not the only encounter with angels which took place in space. Not so long ago, the Western media published sensational

photos made by Hubble telescope. The photos depicted strange images including human-like winged silhouettes. Researchers were especially interested in a series of photos made on Earth's orbit. One could see seven luminous objects on them. John Pratchett, an engineer at the Hubble project, said that he had seen those creatures himself. According to him, they were live objects up to 20 meters tall, and their wing spread could be comparable to the length of a modern jetliner. It was also said that US astronauts on board NASA's space shuttles also encountered angel-like creatures. On December 26, 1994, the Hubble telescope transmitted hundreds of photos depicting a large white city floating in space. US authorities did not expose the photos to the general public, of course, although it was rumoured that US officials treated NASA's report very seriously. A Russian cosmonaut who spent six months living and working on board the Mir space station, said that he and his partner had had fantastic visions from time to time. It seemed to the men that they were turning into other creatures - other people, or animals, or even humanoids of extraterrestrial origin. Similar stories are often told by aircraft pilots. In this case, it may frequently be about the so-called phenomenon of the 'giant hand.' As a rule, the phenomenon occurs during long-lasting flights. When it happens, a pilot feels that the control wheel is being grasped by someone's invisible hand. Researchers from the US Air Force concluded that nearly 15 percent of pilots have experienced the effect during their work. It is not ruled out that the giant hand phenomenon is behind many air crashes. NASA psychologists say that the majority of the above-mentioned phenomena are of psychic nature. They may occur as a result of such factors as pressure and temperature fluctuations, shortage of oxygen, etc. CHINA CONFIRMS PLANS TO BUILD OWN ORBIT AL ORBITAL ST ATION STA © RIA Novosti. Chinese space officials have confirmed plans to build a 60-ton space station by 2020 and develop a space freighter for hauling supplies to the station, the China Daily newspaper said on Tuesday. The China Manned Space Engineering Office unveiled on Monday a blueprint of the future orbital station, which will comprise an 18.1-meter core module and two 14.4meter lab modules. “The 60-ton space station is rather small compared to the International Space Station (419 tons), and Russia’s Mir Space Station (137 tons), which served between 1996 and 2001,” China Daily quoted Pang Zhihao, a space researcher and deputy editor-in-chief of the

Space International magazine.“But it is the world’s third multimodule space station, which usually demands much more complicated technology than a single-module space lab,” the researcher said. China’s ambitious space program enjoyed a sound success in the past decade, including putting a human into orbit and launching a lunar probe. In preparation for the construction of the orbital station,

Beijing is planning to launch the space module Tiangong-1 and the Shenzhou 8 spacecraft in the second half of this year on the first unmanned rendezvous and docking mission. AIR FORCE TO GET BIRDS-EY E VIEW BIRDS-EYE OF UFO’ TRAILS 24 January, 2011,The Jakarta Post, http:// tinyurl.com/6j6ttbc

Indonesian Air Force chief Marshall Imam Sufaat on Monday instructed his staff to use a helicopter to take aerial photographs of crop circles discovered on Sunday in Krasakan hamlet, Sleman, with residents alleging them to be traces of a UFO.“If we examine the photographs, we will possibility see if the patterns were in fact created with powers beyond human knowledge,” Imam said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com, on the sidelines of the Air Force commander meeting in Yogyakarta. The crop circles are in a paddy field and resemble a geometric artwork, while the other parts of the field remain untouched. The patterns were first reported by a farmer, Tukiman, on Sunday at 6am. The pattern has already drawn hordes of locals and people from outside Yogyakarta, causing traffic jams in the vicinity. STRANGE EMISSIONS BY SUN ARE MUT ATING MUTA MATTER May 01, 2011,Terrence Aym, http:// www.setyoufreenews.com/2011/05/ terrifying-scientific-discovery-strange.html

For months mounting fear has driven researchers to wring their hands over approaching solar storms. Some have predicted devastating solar tsunamis that could wipe away our advanced

technology, others voiced dire warnings that violent explosions on the surface of the sun could reach out to Earth, breach our magnetic field, and expose billions to high intensity X-rays and other deadly forms of cancer-causing radiation. Now evidence has surfaced that something potentially more dangerous is happening deep within the hidden core of our life-giving star: never-before-seen particles or some mysterious force is being shot out from the sun and it’s hitting Earth. Whatever it is, the evidence suggests it’s affecting all matter. Alarmed physicists first became aware of this threat over the past several years. Initially dismissed as an anomaly, now frantic scientists are shooting e-mails back and forth to colleagues across the world attempting to grasp exactly what is happening to the sun. Something impossible has happened.Yet the“impossible”has been proven to be true. Laboratories around the globe have confirmed that the rate of radioactive decay—once thought to be a constant and a bedrock of science—is no longer a constant. Something being emitted from the sun is interacting with matter in strange and unknown ways with the startling potential to dramatically change the nature of the very Earth itself.

Exactly what has scientists so on edge is the fact that the natural rate of decay of atomic particles has always been predictable. Indeed, using the decay rate of Carbon-14 has been a method to date archaeological artefacts. The process, known as carbon dating, measures the quantity of Carbon-14 within organic objects. According to the numbers, Carbon-14 has a specific half-life of 5,730 years. Physicists have proven through exhaustive observation and experimentation over the course of a century that it takes 5,730 years for Carbon-14 atoms to decay into a stable Nitrogen-14.The values don’t change—or at least they never have in the past. With certain evidence that radioactive decay can be significantly affected by an unknown effect from the sun, much of science is turned on its head. Worst of all, if the decay rates of matter are being mutated then all matter on Earth is being affected including the matter that makes up life. The mutation may go so far as to change the underlying reality of the quantum universe—and by extrapolation — the nature of life, the principles of physics, perhaps even the uniform flow of time. In fact, some evidence of time dilation has been gleaned from close observation of the decay rate. If particles interacting with the matter are not the cause—and matter is being affected by a new force of nature-then time itself may be speeding up and there’s no way to stop it. Researchers have correlated the anomalies in the decay rate to a 33-day period. That time frame matches the 33-day rotation of the solar core. Such a match strains credulity as being a mere coincidence. Since the sun’s core is known to blast out continuous streams of particles called neutrinos, scientists are attempting to find evidence that neutrinos are the culprits behind the mutation of matter. There’s a problem with that hypothesis, however,as neutrinos are like ghost particles. They’re extremely difficult to detect. Normally, neutrinos pass through the Earth without any interaction at all.To a neutrino, it’s as if the Earth doesn’t exist. Other than discovering a previously unknown property of neutrinos, or finding a new particle

altogether, the possibility exists that no particle is behind the changes recorded in the radioactive decay rates. What could be causing the phenomenon is a previously unknown force. As the sun builds towards solar maximum and a period of dangerous intensity never experienced by any living person inexorably approaches, strange, uncontrollable forces could be building deep within its fiery nuclear furnace. It’s already been proven that the sun’s mass warps time, bends light waves and accounts for mutation of species on Earth. Now this new force may be directly interacting with matter in a way that could not only change Mankind’s understanding of physics, but change Mankind itself…and not necessarily in a beneficial way. DEFENCE’FORCES X-FILES L OST IN LOST SP ACE SPACE June 7, 2011, Linton Besser, http:// www.smh.com.au/technology/sci-tech/ alien-abduction-defences-xfiles-are-lostin-space-20110606-1fpea.html

Could there be any better fodder for Australia’s conspiracy theorists? The Department of Defence has‘’lost’’its X-Files. For decades, Defence officials dutifully investigated an unknown number of UFO sightings being reported all over the country.Intelligence officers attached to the Royal Australian Air Force checked the known movement of aircraft against reported sightings, and politely responded by mail to everyone who claimed they saw floating lights or flat saucers or streaking vapour trails. Some of the files were marked as classified. Last year, the British government released a large part of its dossier on unidentified flying objects after significant pressure from freedom- of-information applicants. More than 4000 pages of Defence Ministry documents, detailing 800 reported encounters during the 1980s and 1990s were posted online. Fairfax sought access to the Australian version. But the response was more surprising than what the files

might have contained - the material has largely gone missing. The department spent two months searching its offices for files that would be captured by the Herald’s FOI application, which sought a ‘’schedule of records held by the Department of Defence … which relate to unidentified flying objects’’. But in late May, the department’s FOI assistant director,Natalie Carpenter, delivered a reply that seemed almost designed to set online chat rooms alight with conspiracy chatter. The only file Defence was able to locate was titled ‘’Report on UFOs/Strange Occurrences and Phenomena in Woomera’’; the others had been destroyed. ‘’We also discovered one [other] file, which had not been destroyed but could not be located,’’ Ms Carpenter wrote. ‘’In an effort to retrieve this file our office conducted searches of the Defence Record Management System, National Archives Australia [Canberra], National Archives Australia [Chester Hill], Defence Archives Queanbeyan and Headquarters Air Command, RAAF Base Glenbrook. ‘’Despite searching these locations, the files could not be located and Headquarters Air Command formally advised that this file is deemed lost.’’Previous FOI applications for similar files had also been destroyed, she said,‘’as is normal administrative procedure’’. What is left is sketchy at best - a handful of ancient press clippings and scattered pieces of formal government correspondence. The papers show that about six years ago, the Australian UFO Research Association was able to locate some files, now missing. The organisation’s summary of the material is one of the few complete items left in the remaining dossier. It shows there were a series of sightings from around the country and overseas, including people living in towns near Woomera, a weapons range. One incident report released to the organisation that year was a detailed report of an object’s flight path by Warrant Officer G.E. Millard in October 1952. Though he was able to track its movement for 24 minutes via radar equipment, he couldn’t actually see the target using the normal telescope attached to the radar. After extensive investigation, he concluded the anomaly was a snow cloud. The UFO research group’s report says ‘’to date we have found three Department of Supply files dealing with the topic of ‘flying saucers’ or UFOs. The earliest file so far located in South Australia is from series D174, control symbol SA5281 titled ‘Unusual Occurrences Flying Saucer at Woomera’ with a date range of 1952-1955. It was originally classified ‘Secret’. It is a 25page file.’’ In November 2000, the then defence chiefs decided the department would stop collecting UFO reports. ‘’For many years the RAAF was responsible for the handling of Unusual Aerial Sightings (UAS) at the official level,’’ they wrote in a department-wide policy memo. ‘’This

function ceased in 1996 after consideration of the scientific record suggested that there was no compelling reason for the RAAF to continue to devote resources to the recording and investigation of UAS. ‘’The ADF does not accept reports on UAS and does not attempt assignment of cause or allocation of reliability. Members of the community who seek to report UAS to ADF personnel are to be referred to their local police authorities in the first instance, or alternatively to seek contact numbers for civil Unidentified Flying Object research organisations from the relevant state telephone directory.’’ The memo said the ADF did not affiliate with any civil UFO organisations. Gird yourself for a whole new wave of alien conspiracy theories: the FBI has placed hundreds of pages of information on its past UFO investigations online in a new, searchable database. It means that documents on UFO sightings - and the feverish correspondence between concerned members of the public and the bureau - can now be easily mined for fine-level data. Called the Vault, the FBI's new site gathers together documents frequently requested via the Freedom of Information Act - and is designed in part to reduce costs in answering such FOIA requests. The Vault does not contain any previously unreleased information, an FBI spokesman told New Scientist today. So what's really new (and powerful, in my view) is the ability to search the unstructured, often handwritten and/or smudgily typed text. What immediately grabbed news media attention today is a 22 March 1950 memo about an incident in Roswell, New Mexico in June or July 1947: an FBI special agent called Guy Hottel cites an unnamed US air force (USAF) source revealing the recovery of three flying saucers - each crewed by 3-foot-tall humanoids dressed in "metallic cloth". Entering "Socorro" in the search box brings up a 147-page document in which the 1964 case of police patrolman Lonnie Zamora in Socorro, also in New Mexico, is mentioned. Zamora saw an O-shaped UFO on the ground with two beings in white coveralls beside it. They disappeared by the time he parked, whence the craft supposedly departed. The detail people will now be able to glean with this facility will doubtless spawn new theories. Similar information releases in the UK and France have added fuel to the fire, too. The balance of probabilities is not really on the side of the UFO believers. In USAF's final Project Blue Book report, it revealed how many "UFO" sightings it had investigatA good husband is healthy and absent. ed between 1947 to 1969, in the white heat of the Cold War. Of 12,618 sightings only 701 could not be explained. But of course, that's just a conspiracy.

JFK KILLED BECAUSE OF HIS INTEREST IN ALIENS? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article1378284/Secret-memo-shows-JFK-demanded-UFO-files-10-days-assassination.html

An uncovered letter written by John F Kennedy to the head of the CIA shows that the president demanded to be shown highly confidential documents about UFOs 10 days before his assassination. The secret memo is one of two letters written by JFK asking for information about the paranormal on November 12 1963, which have been released by the CIA for the first time. Author William Lester said the CIA released the documents to him under the Freedom of Information Act after he made a request while researching his new book 'A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier.' The president's interest in UFOs shortly before his death is likely to fuel conspiracy theories about his assassination, according to AOL News. Alien researchers say the latest documents, released to Mr Lester by the CIA, add weight to the suggestion that the president could have been shot to stop him discovering the truth about UFOs. In one of the secret documents released under the Freedom of Information Act, JFK writes to the director asking for the UFO files. In the second memo, sent to the NASA administrator, the president expresses a desire for cooperation with the former Soviet Union on mutual outer space activities. The previously classified documents were released under the Freedom of Information Act to teacher William Lester as part of research for a new book about JFK. He said that JFK's interest in UFOs could have been fuelled by concerns about relations with the former Soviet Union. 'One of his concerns was that a lot of these UFOs were being seen over the Soviet Union and he was very concerned that the Soviets might misinterpret these UFOs as U.S. aggression, believing that it was some of our technology,' Mr Lester told AOL News. 'I think this is one of the reasons why he wanted to get his hands on this information and get it away from the jurisdiction of NASA so he could say to the Soviets, "Look, that's not us, we're not doing it, we're not being provocative. "

But conspiracy theorists said the documents add interest to a disputed file, nicknamed the 'burned memo', which a UFO investigator claims he received in the 1990s. The document, which has scorch marks, is claimed to have been posted to UFO hunter Timothy Cooper in 1999 by an unknown CIA leak, but has never been verified. The undated memo contains a reference to 'Lancer', which was JFK's Secret Service code name. On the first page, the director of Central Intelligence wrote: 'As you must know, Lancer has made some inquiries regarding our activities, which we cannot allow. Please submit your views no later than October.Your action to this matter is critical to the continuance of the group.' The current owner of the 'burned memo', who bought it from Timothy Cooper in 2001 told AOL News that it shows that when JFK asked questions about UFOs that the CIA 'bumped him off'. UFO investigator Robert Wood said he has tested the paper it was printed on, the ink age, watermarks, font types and other markings. He said: 'I hired a forensics company to check the age of the ink and check several other things that you can date, using the same techniques you'd use in a court of law.' Mass awakening of volcanoes in recent years has made scientists wrack their brains over the possible causes of increased activity. Geophysicists believe that activity may increase because of the interaction of the Earth with other celestial bodies, such as the Sun or the giant planets Saturn and Jupiter. Even the skeptics do not doubt that our planet is going through a peak of volcanic activity. Indeed, for the second consecutive year, these fire-breathing monsters are being felt in different regions of the planet. Even seemingly dormant volcanoes are coming to life. In addition, scientists expect the emergence of new volcanoes in places where they did not exist before. The peak of volcanic activity also coincided with the activation of other processes in Earth's crust that resulted in the succession of powerful earthquakes. Although they happened in places with increased seismic activity, this is not very comforting. Since volcanoes and earthquakes are usually associated with one another, it becomes clear that something is happening to the planet. The ancient Greeks answered this question without any hesitation - the volcano wakes up when the god Hephaestus, the blacksmith, gets rush defence orders from Zeus (or some other deity). Then he descends into his underground forge under a mountain, kindles the hearth, and gets to

18

work. As a result, people have to "admire" the smoke rising from the underground oven, splashing hot metal and sparks flying from under the hammer of Cyclops. Hellenes were convinced that the volcano wakes up just when Zeus needs something from Hephaestus. Contemporary scholars are not happy with such an explanation. However,it is interesting that the theories attempting to explain the sudden awakening of the volcanic activity have certain references to the king of gods. Now, scientists say that the volcanism is a process that can be activated not only by the Earth, but also the interaction of the planet with different objects from space. In the late 19th century geologist E. Kluge and his colleagues noticed a rhythmic nature of the eruptions. According to their observations, volcanoes do not wake up "suddenly" and there is certain regularity to this process. That is, it makes sense to talk about certain cycles of volcanic activity. In the early twentieth century, Professor Bogolepov drew attention to another interesting fact - a wave of volcanic activity is particularly pronounced in the equatorial zone. This interested the scientist, and he gathered a curious collection of evidence showing that volcanic activity in most cases was linked to the general geophysical perturbations on the planet associated with the impact of any large celestial body. In the 1970's and 1980's, scientists calculated that the peaks of activity often coincide with periods of the excited state of the sun (often called "flares"). In our time, researcher Fedorov showed that the distribution of volcanoes is subject to strict latitudinal zonation (i.e., fire-breathing mountains are located strictly at certain latitudes), and their behavior is determined by the influence of gravitational fields of the Sun and the Moon. In addition, the work of Vladimir Shirokov established the dependence between major volcanic eruptions and bursts of solar activity. Khain and Khalilov noticed that the reaction of the volcanoes in rift zones (areas where the mantle material is released to the surface, located on the ocean floor) and on continental margins is the opposite - if one falls asleep, another one wakes up. Most interestingly, it is also tied to cycles of solar activity. All this suggests that volcanoes are highly sensitive to any external disturbances which arise as a result of solar activity, as well as the activity of other stars and planets. Statistics from 1960 to 2009 suggests that the very rotation of the sun around its axis (and, judging

by the observations of sunspots, this period is approximately 27 days) generates a short-period fluctuation in volcanic activity. It is interesting that most of this activity occurs in the one or two days before the passage of the central meridian of the Sun. However, volcanic activity can also be extinguished by the interaction of the Earthwith the gas giants Saturn and Jupiter. It was observed that these planets at the time of passage of perihelion (the closest to the center of the solar point of the orbit of a celestial body), as they flew past the Earth they slowed the movement of magma in its depths. This in turn leads to a decrease in the number of eruptions. It was found that Saturn, at perihelion, reduces their number of earthquakes from 25-26 to 22 per year. Jupiter slows volcanic activity more effectively (which is not surprising, as it is closer to Earth). For volcanic and other natural processes, the dynamics of the barycenter (i.e., center of the mass) of the solar system is also very important. It is known to be located approximately a million miles from the center of the Sun, but due to the reversal of the giant planets it has to move constantly from its normal position to its outer layers, and then come back. Calculations showed that such rhythms of the barycenter are cyclical and each cycle lasts for 179 years. Maximum volcanic activity is observed just when the centroid passes through perihelion and aphelion. The perihelion here means the point when the barycenter is as close to the center of the Sun as possible, and the aphelion is the point of the maximum distance from the Sun. According to the data on the eruptions which occurred during the period from 1800 through 2009, in such critical moments for the barycentre, volcanic activity is always much stronger. Indeed, without exception, all the largest eruptions (like the explosion of the volcano Krakatoa in 1883) occurred at the time when the barycenter either moves away from the center of the Sun or approaches it. The shifts of the barycenter are caused either by the approximation of a giant planet to the Sun or it moving away from it. It turns out that Jupiter and Saturn in this case, contribute to increased volcanic activity. The displacement of the barycenter may also be affected by the movement of the other two gas giants, Uranus and Neptune. Volcanic activity is dependent on many factors. At the same time, scientists cannot exactly tell whether all of these interactions affect it, because to this day they are unable to observe the processes in the mantle and core. It turns out that the mechanism is revealed from one side only, and the other side is still hidden from scholars. However, now one thing is clear - the god Hephaestus gets plenty of orders not only from Zeus, but from his other colleagues as well, and they are all urgent. It seems that he is doing his best to fulfil them.
