EMILY EIZEN USING ART TO SHOWCASE THE BEAUTY, FREEDOM AND DIVERSITY WITHIN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY

mily Eizen is a queer multimedia artist working in the mediums of painting, sculpture, photography, modeling, and performance. Her ‘60s psychedelic inspired works showcase the beauty, freedom and diversity Eizen considers essential to establishing equity in the cannabis space and beyond. Emily’s portfolio and commissions highlight her ability to adapt to different styles and aesthetics across spectrums of gender and sexuality, defying convention. I recently had the chance to chat with Emily about art, her love of cannabis and her work within the industry. STEPHANIE SHEHAN: When did your cannabis journey begin? EMILY EIZEN: My cannabis journey began when I was in college, freshman year. I was studying political science in DC, and felt disconnected from my creative roots, and honestly, myself. I started hotboxing the dorm bathroom with my roommate/best friend, and all of the sudden it felt like I found my purpose again. I instantly felt more connected to a higher power (no pun intended). I also started doing art again, which I had left behind in high school when I really got into activism and politics. Not soon after, I moved back home to LA and took art classes at Santa Monica College and worked as a budtender. From there, that’s when I noticed a major lack of creative, diverse, meaningful imagery in the cannabis space. I began doing social media for this dispensary, and my career took off from there. SS: And, how about your artistic journey? Have you always been a creative person? EE: I have always been a creative person. In school, I was always the one doodling and scribbling on every piece of paper, my shoes, and even my skin. I loved printing out and cutting up pictures and making collages. I felt very much like an outcast starting in 5th grade. Luckily, in 6th grade I found art as a serious mode of self expression and was taken under the wing of my art teacher. I ate lunch in the art room every day, and started taking painting lessons outside of school. SS: I would assume merging cannabis and art came naturally - was there intention behind that?

EE: It definitely did come naturally. When my passion for cannabis came along, it felt like I found the piece I was missing to kickstart my creativity. I showcase a lot of cannabis use in my photography in order to create a narrative, but my paintings are a secondary, more personal intersection of cannabis and art, more inspired by the feeling it creates in me rather than the subject itself. SS: What form of art do you like best and why?

EE: It’s definitely hard to pick one, but if I had to I would say painting because I can use multiple mixed media elements such as my photography to convey a more complex message and express myself in a more intimate way. SS: Have you worked within the cannabis industry? And if so, what did you like best and least? EE: I have worked as a budtender at many different shops. What I liked the best was meeting the extremely diverse population that uses cannabis for so many different reasons, learning about all the different types of products and connecting with brands. However, especially during the pre-recreational era where there were less rules, there was a lot of sexism, sexualization and disrespect by a large portion of male cannabis enthusiasts that treat women like props, not to be taken seriously. Also during that time, there were no workplace standards so shops could treat you however they wanted with no repercussions. There were a lot of good things about that era too, such as no taxes, compassion for struggling and homeless cannabis users, and more freedom in general, but it also had a dark side to it.

SS: California's medical cannabis movement was largely impacted by people like Dennis Peron and Brownie Mary. As an outspoken, queer cannabis advocate, do you feel like the industry retains those same roots today? If not, how would you like to see the industry get back there? EE: I think as legalization grows, and cannabis becomes more corporate, it becomes less and less in touch with the queer comminity. There are some queer owned cannabis brands but for the most part people are flooding this industry for greed. As long as profit is the most important thing to brands, we will never be able to compare ourselves to people like Mary or Peron. That is why I do the work that I do, highlighting queer people, espeicially BIPOC queer folks in my art using cannabis. By highlighting folks who have been here, using cannabis since before it was profitable or even safe to do so openly, I feel like I am keeping their spirit alive and reminding cannabis culture of its history.

Nevada's Original Cannabis Resource // Since 2014

SS: What does your typical cannabis-infused day look like? EE: It looks different for me each day. Sometimes I will roll a joint first thing in the morning, other times I will wait to smoke until after I get some “serious” work done. I am a joint smoker mostly. I love the ritual of rolling and smoking a joint just as much as I enjoy the high. I almost always smoke before any artistic activity such as shooting or painting. It just helps me enter “the zone”. SS: Since it is February, the month of love - do you have a significant other? And if so, how do you keep romance alive? Does cannabis play a part in that? Any favorite cannabis based products that assist with good sex? EE: I do have a very significant other in my life. Her name is April. We met at the dispensary I mentioned earlier. She also works in the cannabis industry and sometimes I joke (but not really joke) that we are a cannabis power couple. I love smoking with her and sitting side by side doing our own work, or relaxing with her after a long day, smoking and watching our favorite shows. I really enjoy the Kush Queen lube, especially their pride collection which donates money to a different charity every year. SS: What's your favorite way to consume? Any favorite products? EE: My favorite way to consume is smoking. I almost exclusively smoke as a medium of consumption. Right now, my favorite product to smoke is Space Coyote infused joints. SS: What advice would you give to young people looking to develop artistically? EE: Don’t compare yourself to other people, especially on social media. I remind myself of this all the time. In an age where art and “content” are being used interchangeably, it puts a lot of pressure on artists to churn out work and post it like clockwork, and it seems like everyone is always doing something impressive. In this environment it ‘s easy to be hard on yourself, but as long as you are creating and getting time to recharge, that is enough. Check out Emily's work at emilyeizen.com. Love is in the Air

Nevada's Original Cannabis Resource // Since 2014

with Las Vegas Cannabis Weddings Best known for their unique, behind-thescenes industry experiences, Las Vegas Cannabis Tours, has recently unveiled their newest offering, “Las Vegas Cannabis Weddings”, where couples can tie the knot in a grow house or at the world’s largest dispensary, Planet 13, just steps from the Las Vegas Strip. With Las Vegas being the wedding capital of the world, we have to say, we couldn’t think of a more perfect location for the new cannabis twist on the traditional wedding.

20

Starting at just $400, couples can choose between several different base cannabis wedding packages that include either venue of their choice and the officiant fee. Packages include the “Quickie” ($400): like the name implies, this package gets straight to the point, and includes 20 photos, the “Marry Mary Jane” ($600) which includes 40 photos and ceremony videography, or their most lavish package, the “Love is in the Air” ($800) which features 60 photos, ceremony videography, wedding bouquet with cannabis leaves and wedding boutonniere with cannabis

leaves. For the month of February, Las Vegas Cannabis Weddings is commemorating some of the biggest in-demand wedding dates of the year, Feb. 2 (2/2/22), Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 and Feb. 22, (2/22/22), by rolling out an over-the-top $2222 wedding package, available all month long which includes everything in the “Love is in the Air Package” plus “munchies” served buffet style for the bride, groom and up to four guests, a green one-tier wedding cake, pot party favor gift bags, his-and-hers matching

bottle bongs and a helicopter ride over the Las Vegas Strip for the entire wedding party. Nothing says “I do” quite like a green wedding cake, right? The fun doesn’t end there. Couples have some pretty cool add on options including pot party favors, cannabis wedding thrones and even a prop wedding rings rental, which is sure to come in clutch for those tying the knot sporadically. What really caught our eye was the option to add on “munchies” or in other words a catered reception at Trece Las Vegas inside Planet 13, crafted by acclaimed Chef Manny Sanchez. Selections include lobster mac and cheese bites, petite meat ball lollipops, filet mignon, ribeye, baked salmon, chicken confit, bacon-wrapped shrimp, vegetarian lasagna and more, with the couple’s choice of plated or buffet style. While tying the knot inside a bustling dispensary or grow house may not be for everyone, if you are a true cannabis lover like us, and looking for a fun and inexpensive way to celebrate your “ joint” union, this may be your best bet. If you are interested in learning more, visit lasvegascannabisweddings.com or give them a call at 310-722-7864.

Budtender of the Month

>>>INTERVIEWS BY rocky hernandez jorrell ellis

Las Vegas

marissa hernandez Budtender at cannastarz The Southern Nevada Budtender of the Month is Marissa Hernandez from Cannastarz. She is a lead budtender with tons of knowledge on the cannabis plant, cannabinoids, and terpenes. What attracted you to the cannabis industry and how did you get your start? I was attracted to the cannabis industry because I have been an undercover consumer and medical patient for years. I started my career at one of the largest stores here in Las Vegas and fell even more in love with the culture and industry behind the scenes. What kind of advice would you give a new budtender on building relationships with local customers? Truthfully, The customer wants your honest opinion on what you are smoking. You have to remember you as the budtender have the knowledge on the cannabis plant, it's terpenes, and cannabinoids to share with the consumer. What resources do you use to stay up to date with all the changes and new things in the cannabis industry? For local updates I use CCB and Leafly, I also follow industry magazines like Vegas Cannabis Magazine, Instagram and other social media outlets. In your opinion, what are three things that will make a budtender successful? Knowledge is key to educating your consumer, having a high energy and upbeat personality, and listening to how they feel and what they need. What's the most rewarding thing you've accomplished as a budtender? The most rewarding thing I have accomplished as a budtender is being able to connect with my customers on a personal level and help them feel comfortable with cannabis and problems they might have is what really drives me. Also being able to offer a more natural way.

24

What kind of changes/improvements would you like to see in the industry? The change/improvement that I would like to see would definitely be more support for our budtenders such as training, certifications, and educational workshops. We really do have a difficult job keeping up with all the amazing new innovations in the industry. What's your favorite way to consume? My favorite way to consume is definitely dabbing! Terps all day. Nothing's better than a heavy, low-temp dab. Do you think people are starting to see budtenders as more than just stoners behind a register? I definitely believe stigma is changing, especially here in Las Vegas. Your budtenders are highly educated on terpenes and the amazing effects that go along with them. Have you changed as a cannabis consumer since becoming a budtender? If so, how? I was a flower only girl, until I was introduced to my first dab, it was all over from there. The taste and the intensity of the high was and still is absolutely amazing to me. What's the most challenging part about being a budtender? The most challenging part about being a budtender is learning all the new products that are constantly being developed and keeping up to date with news and the ever changing laws. Do you have a favorite strain or terpene profile? Miracle Alien Cookies would be my favorite strain at the moment. Whatchu been smoking on? Definitely all things Tsunami, Tahoe Hydro, Green Life Productions, HSH and MPX.

Budtender of the Month

Reno

angelica medina Budtender at KANNA The Northern Nevada Budtender of the Month is Angelica Medina from Kanna Dispensary in Sun Valley, NV. She is an intelligent budtender who loves to provide the best customer service to her patients and really understands what it means to be a budtender. What’s the most rewarding part of being a budtender? Nothing is more rewarding than someone coming back looking specifically for me. You don't realize what kind of impact you're making in some of these people's lives until they come in and tell you how much the product that you recommended helped them. Some of these people are really putting their trust in me to help them find a product to suit their needs and it's such a good feeling when they come back asking for more. In your opinion, what’s missing in the Nevada cannabis industry? I think the Nevada cannabis industry needs some kind of recycling system for packaging or to implement bulk packaging in order to reduce waste. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for aesthetics. The designs and packaging some companies have come up with are amazing; but I can only reuse so much.... What are we supposed to do with all these bags? I don't want to keep them, but I don't want to throw them away either. AND THE LABELS! We waste so much paper in order to be compliant, it's like wrapping gifts knowing that they're just gonna get ripped off and thrown away. What are some of the challenges that come with being a budtender? One of the biggest challenges of being a budtender is being able to read your customers and build a rapport with them. Some people will be more willing to share their interests than others but if you can figure out what they don't like it can help you guide them into something that they do like. Taking those extra couple minutes to get to know your customer can make a huge difference.

What are some of the ways you stay up to date on new products and developments in the industry? I really like to talk to the brand ambassadors/ sales reps to get to know more about their products. They always provide me with a lot of information that can help give a better selling point for them. I also catch myself surfing the internet, reading Tahoe Cannabis Magazine, or experimenting personally, the resources are endless! Do you think people are starting to see budtenders as more than just stoners behind a register? Oh, absolutely. Especially here at Kanna, we have a pretty different environment that allows us to give our customers a more personable experience. I have more of an opportunity to build a relationship and educate people properly without feeling rushed. I love when I see one of my regulars in the queue and I can ring them up for their "usual" or be able to show them a new product that I know is right up their alley. I know they appreciate it and it makes them feel good to be remembered. A lot of the time it feels like people come in for company and conversation and end up leaving with weed. Do you have a favorite terpene or terpene profile? My favorite terpene profile is limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool by far. I call it my anti-anxiety/ attitude adjuster. It's the perfect remedy if you're feeling anxious or just having a bad day. It calms you down but won’t knock you out; puts you in a good enough mood to get through the day or to just end the night on the right note. What’s your favorite way to consume? Rolling is like therapy to me and there's nothing better than coming home to a joint already rolled. Having a jay ready after work is my form of self-care. Does that answer the question? Whatcha been smoking on? I am currently smoking Champagne Supernova from Srene! It has my favorite profile that I had mentioned earlier and I'm hooked. It's very light and with hints of purple trying to make an appearance through the frost and that flavor adds a crisp kick to your taste buds that'll smack you in the face and you would be the one to apologize.

SOCIAL EQUITY and community involvement with Tina Ulman and The Chamber of Cannabis As opposed to the quickly enacted Question 2 back in 2016 which legalized recreational cannabis in Nevada yet contained no measures to focus on social equity or inclusion and diversity in the eventual industry, Assembly Bill 341 made those desperately needed themes a cornerstone of the bill. Through tireless grassroots advocacy and a State Assemblyman who served many years as a public defender and has personally bore witness to the damaging cannabis laws of yesteryear Nevada, AB 341 authorized cannabis consumption lounges in the Silver State and made social equity a focus. As a method to guarantee that the consumption lounge program was well-planned and involved many diverse voices throughout the city, the Cannabis Compliance Board created four committees. Instead of the Sisolak Special of simply appointing whatever friends or well-connected cronies you owe favors to, the Cannabis Advisory Commission assigned doctors, lawyers, local elected officials, cannabis professionals from a variety of companies and surprisingly, law enforcement members to craft a thorough plan for cannabis consumption lounges in a city that received 42 million tourists in 2019. Each focused on a different element that’s nevertheless crucial to a successful and compliant lounge program; those being Public Health, Public Safety, Market Stability and the final being the committee that would’ve likely been excluded had AB 341 been legislatively introduced only a few years ago. Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the committee dedicated to ensuring that the social equity implementation guaranteed in AB 341 becomes a reality for Nevada’s cannabis consumption lounge program which will inevitably become Vegas’ next tourist craze into the rest of the Roaring 20’s.

in AB 341, served on the committee to collect suggestions for the eventual creation of regulations that ideally would boost diversity in an industry desperately lacking it. “I don’t think social equity was at the forefront of political leaders’ minds and we also didn’t also have too many strong grassroots organizations to make sure that leaders knew how important it was to include social equity applicants in this process.” Ulman explained. “So, now that we’ve gotten to a point where there’s more of a spotlight on social equity applicants, the CCB has made it clear this is something they are focusing on so we can diversify the industry's ownership base.”

TINA ULMAN In a state with once as draconian cannabis laws as Nevada had, such as the law of any cannabis possession regardless of the amount instantly being a felony crime and disenfranchising thousands of Nevadans as a result, social equity measures in the $1 billion dollar Nevada cannabis industry are a positive step forward from the longlasting effects of a drug war created by the only American president to ever resign from the job. Because of this focus on both social equity and local community involvement in the creation of the consumption lounge program, an addition of someone to the committee on Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion such as Chamber of Cannabis President Tina Ulman seemed fitting. Ulman, who recently celebrated the successful non-profit’s 1st birthday and worked tirelessly with the Chamber’s army of advocates as well as Nevada state representatives for social equity measures

Ulman was very happy when the Cannabis Compliance Board announced they were assembling a sub-committee focusing on the themes that the Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee discussed. Diversity as a whole is desperately needed in the legal cannabis industry, as an MJBizDaily article cited business ownership or executive positions being held among minorities as only 13 percent as of 2021. As stated prior, Nevada made no effort for social equity’s inclusion in the 2016 bill to legalize recreationally. “It’s important that we have a committee to make sure these regulations support sustainable businesses from these new licensees. Through having four different public meetings, we were able to walk through different scenarios, discuss solutions and processes, assess risks and mitigate situations that might come up in the future.” Through these public meetings with the citizens of Las Vegas and those personally involved in the cannabis community and industry and the committee’s activities during the months it was active, the committee ironed out exactly what

requirements in regards to residency and background that one would have to meet in order to qualify as a social equity or diversity applicant. Years of residency in Nevada, being from a disenfranchised community and how the lives of an applicant and their family members have been affected by Nevada’s previously damaging drug laws will be variables that are considered. From there, the suggestions will be sent to the Cannabis Compliance Board who will eventually release those very regulations that will hopefully boost social equity and diversity in an industry in need of those themes. However, because I’ve been covering government and regulators for almost half a decade now, I know never to write a definitive release date for a project from those bodies of government and regulation. As such, the anticipated release date of when those regulations from the CCB regarding social equity and diversity will be around the springtime and hopefully be accepting applications from there, keyword there being anticipated. Even the CCB’s website refers to every timeline date of the consumption lounge program as “tentative.” Although the committee has now been disbanded, Ulman believes that the eventual social equity measures created by the CCB will bring that much-needed multicultural representation to the cannabis industry. “I think it’s important there’s a pathway from the traditional market to the legal market. Even if not everyone is meant to be a business owner, everyone is meant to be paid living wages, have health benefits

and create sustainable, long-term jobs. I also think it’s important that we look at everybody who was left out of that first licensing process and how we can have a more diverse ownership and executive base that looks a lot more like the consumers and keep the integrity of the plant at the center of business decisions.” Ulman did bring up an important point that potential applicants would need to know, as there’s two different applicant types. A social equity applicant is someone who was directly affected by Nevada’s previously unjust cannabis policies, whereas a diversity applicant is an applicant that falls into a racial minority, female, is disabled or is a veteran. If one wishes to become an applicant, they’ll have to determine which category they fall under. However due to both our state and our country’s horrific policies on cannabis, an applicant may commonly fall into both categories. “If you had an unjust sentence for any nonviolent drug charge and served time in prison for far longer then you should have, hopefully in the future you’ll also be able to apply as a social equity applicant as well.” Ulman hopes. “Because I feel if you were screwed by the system and it took your life away or your family member’s life away, you should be able to have a more accessible pathway into the industry and/or to ownership if you are qualified.” While these inclusions of emphasized social equity and diversity in Assembly Bill

341 are a great first step in an attempt to correct the many wrongs of our country’s drug laws, Ulman agrees that those inclusions are just that; a first step in a pathway that extends far beyond just more accessible cannabis licensing. “I think this is the first step for Nevada to create a more diverse business ownership and executive level space. I believe much of the country will go that way as they continue to build out and refine their processes for ownership. We absolutely need to have more states, cities, banking institutions, and large companies support social equity and diversity applicants by giving low interest loans and grants to support canna-businesses that don't have the traditional capital to back them.” Ulman used New York as an example of an ideal social equity program, in which The Empire State authorized a $200 million fund to promote social equity in their state industry and a pledged goal of 50 percent of issued licenses going to social equity applicants in a cannabis industry estimated to reach billions after legalizing cannabis last year as the scandal-ridden Governor Andrew Cuomo was on his way out of office. “I see Nevada going in the right direction and it started with the passing of AB 341 and it’s going to continue with grassroots organizations like the Chamber having discussions with the Cannabis Compliance Board, building relationships with political leaders and judicial leaders and informing the cannabis community how much power they can have with their voice and their vote.”

THE

SanCtuary

Bridging the Gap of Community and Cannabis

s a young Medical Director, Dr. Pejman Bady, DO was convinced by the rest of his board that opiates were the end-all-be-all of pain relief. The evidence to substantiate medicinal cannabis was not as common knowledge and tests were still very few and far between. One day, Dr. Bady receives the news that no son or daughter ever wants to hear: his mother had been diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian cancer. Given 6 months to live, options were running out before Dr. Bady turned to the treatment he thought to be taboo, until it helped his mother live for 7.5 years.

A medicinal dispensary at its core, The Sanctuary is passionate about contributing to the Vegas cancer community for those in need as well as combating the negative stigma of the cannabis industry through leading by example with positive outreach. It was not only his mother that opened Dr. Bady’s mind to the medical benefits of cannabis, but other cannabis patients that he encountered in his earlier days of the industry: Patients who had suffered from the chronic pain only to be

30

drastically improved by CBD and other medicinal cannabis products. “At first, I sat on a board of doctors and told all our partners that we would not use cannabis. I was ‘that’ guy. Until I saw it,” Dr. Bady says. Such a revelation also inspired himself and the Sanctuary team to work with the American Cancer Society and join the 2021 Relay for Life back in September, making them the first dispensary to do so. “Growing up in a physician family, you know, you don’t do drugs,” says Dr. Bady. His view was dramatically different growing because cannabis was not considered medicine. “My father was a physician in Iran and with his father, it was a lot of folk medicine; they used a lot of alternative stuff. But when I was growing up [we were saying], ‘Oh no, cannabis is taboo, it’s a drug that we don’t know about and so we don’t do it.” While not one single treatment is 150% perfect, these are the kind of stories and opportunities for our medical customers we want to share with the Vegas and cancer community as a whole. Where misinformation finds its way into the court of public opinion, the Sanctuary values growth, learning and real

experiences to educate the public on the real facts of medicinal and recreational cannabis. The other aspect of the Sanctuary that we feel is really important is our passion and connection to the Arts community. Our dispensaries will host many different events and will have the feel of an art exhibit, showcasing the incredible work by local artists. Together we will create a space where community and cannabis meet. With a global health crisis continuing to surge across the world, education of health and medicine is more important than ever and that continues to be at the forefront of the Sanctuary’s mission, along with inspiring the community to come together to celebrate our artists, our wellbeing and all our friends and loved ones fighting through their medical treatments.

CANNABIS THEMED WINTER

Date Night Ideas

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> epending on where you live, it might just be too cold to go on the typical edible, hike, and picnic date right now. But just because the temperature outside has taken a dip doesn’t mean your date nights need to suffer, too. Below are some 420-friendly, cannabis-infused winter date night ideas to get you through the coldest months. Culinary Collaboration Some of the most fun you can have on a chilly winter night is hiding in your kitchen. When it’s too cold to leave the house, find a new recipe to try out together. Preparing food together is a sensual activity, so prepare for things to get flirty. Or, if you prefer competition to collaboration, host your own version of Iron Chef. See who can make a better tray of snacks to munch on. And don’t forget to bring the THC-infused oil or butter! Travel Around the World— Via Takeout If cooking isn’t your thing and you don’t happen to have a couple of round-trip tickets to France, you can still have a fun gustatory experience together. Take a culinary trip around the world courtesy of your local international restaurants. Find the best global munchies your town has to offer and order the minimum for delivery. Taste some things you’ve never tried before and support a local business at the same time. Bonus: if you have a bunch of leftovers, dinner tomorrow (and maybe the next night) is already prepped.

Act Like a Kid Again Some childhood activities are even more fun as an adult. Head to the dollar store and stock up on supplies first. Grab some coloring books, playdough, mad libs, finger paints, joke books, LEGOs, notebooks for doodling on— whatever activities you loved when you were younger. Don’t forget to buy some gold star stickers to reward whoever makes the most creative art, tells the funniest joke, or creates the most stunning sculpture. Bonus points for picking up snacks from your youth like pop tarts, DIY Lunchables, Funfetti cake mix, and whatever else brings you the joy of reminiscing about your childhoods together. Feel free to play dress up, too, if the mood feels right. To make it a bonding experience, tell funny or meaningful stories from your childhood. The sheer bliss of being silly together will make the winter nights feel so much less frosty. Plus, evoking the past and taking a stroll down memory lane will help you get to know and understand each other better on an intimate level. Planetarium Plus Public Transportation If you’re willing to brave the winter weather, heading to the local planetarium is potentially the best way to spend a date night together in the winter. Grab your favorite star-gazing strain and prepare to be awestruck by the majesty that is the planetarium. It’s romantic, it’s educational, and it’s infinitely more fun after some cannabis. A Weekend Away If the dark winter has got you down, nothing will pick up your spirits better than a weekend away. Choose a spot where you can sit in a warm hot tub and enjoy some fresh air no matter what

the forecast has in store for you. Gaze at the stars and enjoy the contrasting temperatures. Bring your cannabis tincture, and watch your weekday cares melt away as you focus solely on your loved one. Tabletop Fun Playing board games and doing puzzles together is a great way to spend the evening. You’ll get quality time together, plus, you’ll find out how competitive your date is, what kind of games they like, if they are a sore loser, and whether you can beat them in a meeting of the minds. Pro-tip: don’t play anything super complicated unless you’re both board game fanatics. Stick to classics that everyone already knows how to play like Scattergories, Jenga, Monopoly, or Clue. Or, if you opt for something a bit more involved, pair it with a strain that will increase your focus rather than derail it. Netflix and Ultra-Chill If you didn’t get enough movie nights in during the beginning of the pandemic, now’s your chance to make up for that. However, turning on a screen and ignoring your partner is the opposite of romantic, so put some thought into making the evening special. Pair the movie you choose with a homemade dinner. For instance, you could watch Squid Games while you eat fresh calamari—and don’t forget to indulge in an indica dominant cannabis strain beforehand. Watch Yellowjackets with some honeymustard marinated chicken and a sativa strain. Make a blanket fort complete with pillows, twinkly lights, and hot chocolate (or potcorn, if you prefer) in your living room for an extra cozy evening, and voila! Netflix and chill is suddenly super romantic.

Have a Threesome—With Mary Jane Yes, cannabis and sex go together like peanut butter and jelly. And the coldest parts of the winter just might be the best time to give this a try, if you haven’t already, especially if you don’t like to go out in public after you’ve consumed cannabis. Yet, just having sex doesn’t technically count as a thoughtful date night. So, set the mood first. Light some candles. Turn on music that you both enjoy. Grab some CBD-infused massage oil and take turns giving each other fifteen-minute massages first. Have some yummy chocolate edibles bedside that you can feed each other as the mood takes a romantic turn. FEBRUARY HOROSCOPES ARIES (MARCH 20 – APRIL 19) Let’s go, Aries! This month, you are feeling proactive in love and work as all of this action oriented, cardinal energy is highlighted by Venus, Mars, and Mercury in Capricorn. Now is the time to use your natural charisma and charm to shoot your shot! Just make sure to do so after Mercury moves direct on February 3rd. February 16th ’s full moon in Leo may have you fired up a bit with some emotional outbursts. Try to prepare by having a super relaxing strain with high myrcene around like the Carson City Kush by BAM. Try to avoid burning yourself out and remember, sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. TAURUS (APRIL 19 – MAY 20) Starting the month off with the Aquarius full moon in your solar 10th house highlights efforts related to your career and reputation. Whatever you put your mind to this month, you’ll find it easy to get it done. Take advantage of this energy and it will pay off for you. However, you may be feeling quite restless, especially if you don’t have a work project to dive into. An increase in physical activity may help keep you sane with this excess energy. We also recommend a classic heavy hitter like Grandaddy Purp live resin disposable by Trendi to take the edge off if you’re feeling too vigilant. GEMINI (MAY 20 – JUNE 20) You may be feeling a bit down following all the fun and excitement of the holidays. Expectations are high, it’s a time of all work and little play. Make sure to take free time to care for your mental well being so you don’t let a negative outlook engulf you. You are usually energized by being around others, but this month might be different as you may prefer spending time alone to clarify your feelings. Time in nature will help you feel at ease. Stay positive with an uplifting, carefree strain like the Blue Maui by Polaris.

38

CANCER (JUNE 20 – JULY 22) If last month was tumultuous, things are getting better for you and everything will go smoothly after Mercury moves direct on the 3rd. This month brings an increase in self confidence for you, especially at work. You will no longer be afraid to speak your mind and creative, fresh ideas easily flow to you. The moon in Cancer on Valentine’s Day creates the perfect atmosphere to be in your feelings and show your loved ones how much you care. Due to Jupiter’s placement, success will come easily. However, you’ll

By Margaux Hansberry

likely gain more responsibility and will need to find time to recoup. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a day to recover with CannaLean’s 100mg infused syrup. LEO (JULY 22 – AUGUST 22) February augers a time of creative incubation for Leo’s. You may be thinking about some big moves or great ideas that you want to implement and need time and space to strategize how. Take time to weigh the pros and cons for these next steps using logical insight from all the Capricorn / Aquarius energy and you should be good to go! Although you are usually more social, do what feels best as you may need to take more time to focus on yourself this month. The visionary full moon in Leo on the 16th is a great time to dream up your future. Keep that creative energy high with a euphoric strain like Pineapple Fanta by Nature’s Chemistry. VIRGO (AUG 22 – SEPT 22) This month is easy for you as many planets are in earthy Capricorn and we leave the rocky retrograde season behind. Things are finally feeling stable and you get positive recognition at work for your productivity. You will feel the love on Valentine’s Day with Jupiter in Pisces in your solar 7th house of partnerships. Try not to get into pointless conflicts especially in the workplace and instead take a neutral stance. Although there may seem to be some hiccups, a superior is testing you to see how you handle things. If you need a chill pill, try a microdosed 5mg green tea mint by Encore to help you relax while still crossing things off the list. LIBRA (SEP 22 – OCT 23) Once Mercury stations direct on the 3rd , there will be less communication and technology issues but you’ll still be feeling overwhelmed with work tasks. Headaches and insomnia due to stress may be common, which are signs that you need to slow down and relax. When life is so demanding that you just can’t deal, we love a super potent infused preroll like Runtz by White LVBEL. If you’re able to, try to delegate extra responsibilities to teammates who can cover you. Feeling overly stressed will cause you to make inappropriate comments ripe with sarcasm that you may regret in the future. SCORPIO (OCT 23 – NOV 21) Everything is falling into place as you continue to succeed at work and in your relationships. Communication and negotiations are

your strong suit this month. Although, be cautious of your communication on the 16th during the full moon in Leo. This Leo energy may inspire you to express yourself without thinking first, causing conflict in which you could be called out for an attitude adjustment. Keep a discreet vape handy in case you feel yourself getting irritated. We love the Mango 1:1 CBD / THC pod by Stiiizy to keep our cool. Saturn in Aquarius fixed energy protects your endeavors so take advantage of this enhanced structure and discipline while you can. SAGITTARIUS (NOV 21 – DEC 21) Things look good for you as four planets in Capricorn reside in your solar second house of money and income. If you’ve been looking for a new career or have shown interest in a salary increase, now is the right time to pursue it! The past few years of Covid regulations and lock downs may have caused restlessness in your adventurous spirit, but it seems you can feel more optimistic now. You may have a few issues with friends or partners this month. Just be sure to keep your temper in line and you should be fine. Keep a pack of prerolls handy for when things get heated like the tins by Binske with seven half gram prerolls. CAPRICORN (DEC 21 – JAN 19) You are the GOAT this month as Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto are in your sign giving you excellent communication and planning skills. You are in an empathetic mood and offer valuable advice to many of your friends and loved ones. By mid February you may feel the need to take a day off, especially as other people’s problems start to drain you. You may be feeling tapped after the Leo full moon on the 16th which creates an environment for deep, intense, intimate connection. It may not be in your nature, but why not take a day off for all your hard work and treat yourself to the brand new Medizin Melts full melt blonde bubble hash! AQUARIUS (JAN 19 – FEB 18) The new moon in Aquarius at the beginning of the month creates a fresh start for you. Thanks to the influence of Venus and the Sun, you’ll be feeling friendly, caring, and affectionate towards others. Try not to be too flirtatious if you’re in a relationship, but we all know you need to have your fun! When Mercury moves into Aquarius on the 14th, your blunt communication may be a bit too honest. Just be gentle and deliver the message with care.

Sharing some infused chocolate covered strawberries by OMG THC could be a romantic way to soften the blow. PISCES (FEB 18 – MAR 20) You are able to enjoy an especially love filled Valentine’s Day as Jupiter is in Pisces in your first house. Expect lots of affection and recognition from your partner or loved ones! You may feel quite tense throughout the month. If you are in a bad mood, stay away from others so you can avoid conflict. With Neptune, Jupiter, and the Sun (beginning on the 18th) in Pisces, it’s a good time to focus on your health and needs. The Camino Wild Berry “Chill” gummies are a great tool for maintaining a positive outlook and going with the flow if you’re feeling low.

I really enjoyed this pain relieving, functional high that enhanced my work and creativity. It did almost put me to sleep when those pain relieving terps kicked in and I was not super active. CBD in the Bedroom Sparking up a bowl of our favorite flower before intercourse or a moment of self pleasure helps to relax our bodies and minds, release our inhibitions, and heightens our pleasure. But did you know you can bring the plant into the bedroom, or kitchen counter, (we are not here to judge) in the way of CBD lubricants to make sex even more pleasurable and orgasms more explosive than you could imagine? We are seeing CBD used in many ways, so it was just a matter of time before it became a bedside companion in the way of lubricant. And trust me, this is not a product you want to overlook. Whether alone or with a partner, this is a combination I highly recommend you try. With cannabinoid receptors all over our bodies, it makes sense CBD has an effect both vaginally and anally. There is still not a lot of research directly using CBD lubricants and most of what we know is anecdotal. However, a growing number of both consumers and experts are raving about the benefits it can bring to our sex lives. Here’s what we do know about CBD lubricants. Not only can CBD boost our sexual experiences, but it can also help with an array of problems. Both the vagina and anus are lined with mucous membranes allowing for the absorption of cannabinoids. For men, CBD does not do much alone on the penis itself. However, it helps to lubricate, and increase the sensations of their partner via the anus or vagina and in turn bringing heightened sensations

and pleasure to the penis. Anally it can be very beneficial helping to lubricate, and relax the anus for ultimate pleasure as well. Now for those with vaginas and those who enjoy anal sex as well, buckle up because there are some things you want to know about this amazing product! Many say it can bring heightened sensations, and better orgasms, making them fuller, more intense, and easier to access, but how? CBD is a vasodilator and increases blood flow to the area when applied topically. Blood flow is a vital part of arousal and sexual pleasure. By increasing blood flow we heighten the sensitivity felt making us feel EVERYTHING, and also helps to get our bodies ready faster. Fun fact, the well known Viagra is also a vasodilator! This in combination with CBD’s ability to enhance tissue oxygenation, helps to relax our bodies and soothe pain while enhancing pleasure. When using a CBD lubricant not only does it relax our bodies, but it also relieves inflammation, eases tension to the surrounding areas and soothes pains helping to support our comfort. Having chronic pain myself I love that the lubricant not only relaxes my vagina and anus when applied, but also helps to soothe my pelvis, groin, hips, sacrum, and more. It helps everything to really relax and let go, so I can let go and really enjoy myself. Not only can it help relieve pains felt during intercourse, and self pleasure, it can also help with an array of conditions many women have. Women have reported relief from menstrual pain, uterine pain, and endometriosis symptoms. Inserting CBD lubricant or suppositories has brought relief for many and allows the powerful pain relieving and anti-inflammatory effects of CBD to bring relief quickly by inserting it directly into the anus or vagina, allowing the CBD to bind to the bodies endocannabinoid receptors in the uterus and surrounding tissues, relaxing muscle tension and supporting blood flow while bringing relief. When it comes to the lubricating factor, CBD lubricant is amazing! It is long lasting and enhances pleasure for all involved. It is also a great option for those dealing with vaginal

dryness, commonly associated with menopause and hormonal changes, helping to ease discomfort felt during penetration. When choosing a CBD lubricant it is important to consider a few factors. If using condoms, you want to keep in mind that oil can degrade them, so if using an oil based lubricant you want to buy condoms that are oil safe like polyurethane and nitrile condoms. Buying from a quality and trusted source matters. You are going to insert this in your body and/or your partners and you want to make sure it’s pure, with no additives or perfumes that can cause irritations. Personally I love Foria Wellness products. They have lubricant, sex oil, and suppositories that are great for boosting our sexual experiences, pleasure, and bringing relief for those of us who need it. Their products are 100% plant based with no additives or synthetics, always crafted with organic hemp and our needs in mind, and definitely take pleasure to the next level. We all have sexual desires and needs and adding CBD lubricant takes our pleasure up a notch that we all deserve to experience. CBD lubricant is amazing for enhancing pleasure and easing discomfort that helps us relax, let go, and truly feel every bit of pleasure that is happening. CBD lubricant has a permanent spot on my nightstand and should definitely have a spot on yours as well. Whether solo or with a partner, let’s move our pleasure to the next level and bring the plant into the bedroom beyond just a joint. Sarah Schwefel is an advocate for patients and plant medicine. taylor foxman, the industry collective

Crossing Over from Spirits to Cannabis Taylor Foxman is founder of The Industry Collective, an independent advisory firm that helps grow and scale the emerging wine, beer, and spirits brands. Formerly with Parallel, a multi-state vertically integrated cannabis company, she’s now looking to the future of cannabis using her skill set honed since college. Both she and her father attended Boston University. As she says, her dad took the Doogie Howser approach, going right into medical school from high school. He stayed put in the same dorm room, while she went on to attend Brigham Young University for her undergrad, then to Southern California to work on her masters in communications. “My dad had this very crucial role at university, he became the ‘pot detector,’” she laughed. “He would roam the hallways sniffing out the pot smokers. That was the only reference I had to cannabis a few years later after being helped myself by the plant. I never dreamed I’d be a leader in the cannabis industry and neither did he.” Her father now admits he is proud of her accomplishments, adding, at least the cannabis industry has a medical journal - referencing her past life in the alcohol industry, where no informative “ journals” exists.

Plant Over Pills Today, Foxman is a medical cannabis patient in the State of New York, where she’s lived for 11 years, treating anxiety successfully with cannabis products.

54

“I’ve suffered from anxiety from a young age,” she shared. “I know many suffer from this and that it’s totally manageable, but it’s still something that’s taken up a lot of my

Daily Dose BY SHARON lETTS

brain power over the years.” Initially prescribed pharmaceuticals, Zoloft, Xanax, and Lorazepam at a young age, she eventually tried more natural treatments for her anxiety not far from the garden, stating mint was her go-to. It was the deliveries into her system that became challenging. “As I moved up the corporate ladder in New York, I would chew mint gum all the time - especially before and during meetings, until my boss told me to stop,” she remembered. “I’d get so nervous and the mint seemed to help. After my chewing gum ban I’d swish mint Listerine in the bathroom or use those Listerine mint strips to get a calm mint fix before meetings.” Mint is one of the superfoods, or a super plant, with many beneficial compounds, addressing many symptoms throughout the body, including help for digestive issues at the top of the list. Common benefits of mint shared by many other superfoods are calming, fighting inflammation and infection, brain function and focus (stimulating the hippocampus part of the brain) and antioxidant properties - meaning, it fights cancer, or keeps the body in homeostasis - a place where illness can not dwell. When a friend moved to California for a job at Google, Foxman said she was able to visit a dispensary there and found game changing Kiva Petra mints at 2.5 milligrams each with THC. *Interesting to note, longtime cannabis company, Kiva, has been making these mints since 2015, stating they were one of the first microdosed products on the market - with the average dosing per most

products set at 10 milligrams, maximum, per ordinances.

Finding her Therapeutic Dose Back in New York Foxman shopped at Etain dispensary near her home in Manhattan. Etain is the only woman owned shop in the city, run by mother Amy, with daughters Keeley and Hillary Peckham. Inspired to be in the cannabis industry after their grandmother Frances “Granny Franny” Keeffe, was helped with the plant for ALS. At Etain Foxman was guided to purchase an oral mint spray made by Etain, with a 1:1 CBD/THC ratio. She’s also used the same ratio in cannabis gummies with success. “These products provide me with the same benefits as the pharmaceuticals, without any of the negative and addictive side effects. I use them as needed, but it’s not something I feel dependent on - which I think is the key difference between pharmaceuticals and plant-based medicine,” she added. Cannabis has been proven to be nonaddictive, but habit forming because it

works. That said, can we really call something a habit if it’s needed and successful in quelling a diagnosed symptom?

been named on Rolling Stone magazine’s Cultural Council, able to contribute to a dedicated platform on cannabis.

Cannabis is not a bad habit, but a productive one, with none of the negative side effects found in synthetic medications - albeit, finding your therapeutic dose of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC - a potentially psychoactive compound of the plant, activated with heat. We as a species upped the THC levels over the decades, causing the controversy.

“I believe that a key part of the mainstreaming of cannabis will come from education,” she said. “I’m a huge proponent of the need to educate general consumers first before marketing cannabis products. Some recent celebrity partnerships in the CBD space are helping, at least with CBD products, in particular. Of course, national legalization wouldn’t hurt overall.”

Important to note, take away the THC and cannabis as a superfood addresses all of our biological systems in a positive way for healing and prevention, whereas a synthetic pharmaceutical may target a single issue successfully, but may have a long list of negative side effects and compounds unable to be processed positively throughout the body or its organs.

Bottom line for Foxman on crossing over from spirits to weed, cannabis is the healthier option. And though she still imbibes on a low-ball of smokey whiskey or scotch from time to time, cannabis, she said, is a happy option.

Cannabis and other plants have cannabinoids and terpenes in common, the compounds that heal, delivered into our bodies by the endocannabinoid system - a part of our biology discovered recently in the 1990s, but barely taught in medical schools today.

From Spirits to Cannabis While working on her masters at the Annenberg School of Communications as a sophomore at the University of Southern California (USC), Foxman worked in communications and public relations in wine, beer, and spirits as an intern for SVEDKA, a Scandinavian vodka company. “I ended up not pursuing my masters because I got a call from the agency representing Jameson Irish Whiskey, offering me work in whiskey with Pernod Ricard.” she said. As of last year, Foxman said she’s worked for more than 70 global wine, beer, and spirit brands, ranging Campari to Boston Beer to Patron. But it’s her work in cannabis, she said, that has added to her skill set in ways she could have never predicted. “Cannabis is far more regulated than alcohol,” she explained. “Once you’ve dealt with the many seemingly unreasonable ordinances and constraints in the industry, you can work on anything, in my opinion.” Last year longstanding mentor and friend brought her into the cannabis industry when he crossed over from a mainstream corporate gig. “I never had any intentions of moving over to cannabis, but when I thought about it further, it seemed like it was my opportunity to show my communications and public relations leadership skills outside the drinks industry,” she explained. “It didn’t hurt that the cannabis industry is now a burgeoning multi-billion dollar industry. And now, since I’ve been helping myself with cannabis, it just makes sense.” The move turned out to be a good fit, as she was recently awarded placement in the 40 Under 40 list for PRWeek, a leading platform for the communications and public relations industry. She’s also

“Let’s call a spade a spade,” she surmised. “The benzodiazepines I was taking prior - and the alcohol - are notably more harmful than cannabis. Through considerable focus, unlimited yoga practices, and ongoing meditation efforts, I can now share that I'm fully Rx free. I look at my cannabis use now as a ‘saving grace,’ because it has changed my life.”

Let's Talk CRC: What is it? and, is it harmful?

>>>>>

Color Remediation Column (CRC) is a technology that alters the color of an extract. The OG extractors say that this process has been around since about 2016. This post-extraction process helps to lighten the color of cannabis oil, remove odors, pesticides in butane hash oil (BHO). There is great concern that CRC removes terpenes, which happens to be the major component that consumers are seeking when shopping for cannabis- the effect. There are a lot of controversies when it comes to CRC amongst cannasseurs. Some people think that this is a good thing because it isolates cannabinoids. True, but if we’re speaking daily adult use, what need is there for the isolation? Isn’t that the beautiful thing about the ensemble effect (formerly known as the “entourage” effect)? That’s the whole reason why you feel a combination of effects, whether it be body effects, heady effects, and so on.

58

What’s the point of removing originating terpenes that you’re going to add “naturally botanical,” or non-cannabis derived terpenes to after? There are different techniques of processing substances (media) for filtering CRC columns such as silica, activated charcoal, bentonite clay, magnesol, diatomaceous earth, and a few others. There is an alarming health concern with these forms of media being used to process filtered extracts. For instance, miners have been exposed to bentonite clay and diatomaceous earth over the years. This exposure has caused serious respiratory damage, emphysema, tuberculosis, pulmonary tumors, lung and stomach cancer, and many other illnesses (IARC; Corrin). So, just imagine what inhalation may potentially do to those of us who are taking dabs of this CRC’d stuff. Although these materials have been approved as “safe” by the FDA, there is still uncertainty since they are not meant for inhalation. Lead has been found in certain brands of bentonite clay, yet state regulators still do not require testing for CRC media. Some extract experts believe that the media should not get through the

BY: TEE "CANNA" MORENO @CANNAPSYCHMD

filtration process. Most lab requirements should catch heavy metals in products, but with complete transparency, we don’t know if this is completely accurate. The lack of state testing regulations of CRC does not guarantee the impossibility of contamination. Even worse, the health damage or impact it will have on the human body. If you ask me, this process is a bit sketchy because there isn’t a guarantee of the extract’s source or level of quality. If you have good starting material, there shouldn’t be a need for this process. Some folks claim that it’s safe and others claim that it just purifies low-grade crude oil. Truthfully, there simply isn’t sufficient research behind using the failed product, nor is there research solidifying the efficacy of these technologies. CRC can make dirty distillate look like top-shelf resin. There isn’t sufficient data from research yet, and that data is much needed. We do not yet know what longterm effects that cannabis extract in general will have on our bodies, or for that matter, CRC’d extract derived from failed flower. This is something that should be an immediate concern that consumers should be pushing for research. It blows my mind that they legalized everything so quickly for a profit, before even handling the research components for health and safety. The thing that gets me is the lack of CRC regulations here in the state of Nevada. Oregon just made adjustments to their regulations for CRC (Kudos Oregon!) Nevada should be next to follow. The Oregon Land and Cannabis Commission just released a Recreational Marijuana Program Compliance Education Bulletin, that was published on December 28, 2021 stating that “Concentrates or Extracts processed with Color Remediation Column (CRC); OLCC is aware that some Processors treat concentrates or extracts with reactive materials like bleaching clay. Under certain conditions, bleaching clay and other materials may react with the cannabinoids in a concentrate or

extract to generate artificially derived cannabinoids. Concentrates or extracts processed in this manner prior to January 1, 2022, can continue to be sold until July 1, 2022” (Oregon). This should lift concern to consumers across the nation, as there is a lack of regulation on how CRC is being processed. The majority of extracts in legal states (an estimated 90%) are now being CRC’d, raising the question if the bulk being used for extract is a clean start product. It is common knowledge that the majority/ purpose of CRC is being done to failed flower that cannot be sold. The fact that there are not any requirements on CRC tech, allows companies to name products “live resin,” that is not true live resin, and get away with it. It is one thing to alter the color from a greenish or brownish pigment to make it more appealing- that purpose is legitimate. But, it’s another thing to knowingly use a bad (failed) starting product and turn it into a sellable product. I was a Chef for over 12 years, and not one state in this nation will allow you to use contaminated food products. They are to be immediately disposed of, refunded from the purveyor or not. Products like such are to never be consumable, period. Being that the cannabis industry is pretty much regulated like the food industry, they should have firmer regulations, no matter if the products are being orally ingested, topically on the skin, or inhaled. DIRECTIONS First, grab your fruits and veggies. Make sure you wash them off with cold water as this helps reduce any foodborne illness by over 50%. Stay safe stoner’s and stonette’s! Start by dicing all your onions, cucumbers, carrots, avocados, and pineapple. You can totally cheat here using diced pineapple in the can (just cut them into smaller pieces). Place them all in separate containers for later. Grab your lemons and limes. Cut in half longways from end to end. Place them on the flat side and slice them in as many thin slices as you can. Put in a container for later. Now take out your tuna from the fridge and wrap it with a paper towel for just a minute to get any liquids off of it. Cut into ½ x ½ inch size dice. Place into a large bowl. Now let’s get to the fun stuff and try in 10 steps! Add your infused sesame oil to the bowl of tuna. 3oz of Soy Sauce, add your CityTrees Blue Agave tincture (4 droppers worth), half of your veggies, some Tajin and finally a couple squirts of Sriracha. Mix this well and gently. Domo Arigatou Tomodachi!! Add a little Tajin to your pineapples plus a dash of soy sauce. Keep this to the side for now. Add little bits of your other veggies to your tuna mix, stirring along the way. Be sure to taste it while you work because that is most important. We wanna smoke the fire and drop something ‘fire’ on the plate as well. Place in the fridge for an hour after you see a good tuna to veggie ratio. This helps let everything incorporate and marry. Making sure to stir before and after the hour. Everything needs to be cold.

PLATING- grab a cool plate and a large measuring cup. Scoop the mixture and fill that bad boy up! Squeeze out any excess liquids and this also helps retain the shape of your tartare. Flip over onto the plate and lift off gently. Step 10- Can we do it? (Well they don’t call me CAN’Tabushi). Grab your lemon and lime slices. Place them around the tartare like in the picture. Place a single drop of Sriracha on the lemons and then place a dollop of your pineapple mix by the limes…Holy Spicoli YOU DID IT! You did that in ten steps and just made a piece of Art! I hope this inspires you to do more in the kitchen. You should have enough to make more than one. Remember the sauce is infused so don’t let it go to waste, you can use it for so much more. Have fun with flavors- cut up some raw shrimp and add some lemon, orange and lime juice to make a nice ceviche’. The juice actually cooks it for you! Science! I hope you all enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you.
