¿Qué es exactamente Cylcle Zombies? ¿Cuándo os habéis no-asociado bajo este nombre y formasteis esta gran familia? Primero y ante todo, Cycle Zombies es una familia. Hacemos ropa, construimos motocicletas, patinamos y surfeamos, pero su núcleo es la hermandad que compartimos. Son nuestras vidas construidas a base divertirnos y hacer aquello que amamos. Surf, skate, construir y montar en moto, es todo parte de sentir la libertad, ¿creéis que es precisamente eso lo que hace que vuestro entorno sea creativo y esté vinculado al arte y la fotografía? Sí, todas esas cosas le añaden creatividad a la vida. Esas actividades hacen que mires todo como oportunidades latentes. Ya sea una vieja pasarela, simple y llana, pero inevitablemente piensas: “¿cómo puedo patinar este spot?” o caminando por un mercadillo mirando cosas que le puedes añadir a tu motocicleta, sin que sean partes de motos. Se trata de hacer algo más de cada día que pasa. Stance os apoya de forma incondicional en todo lo que hacéis, ¿cómo es vuestra relación con la marca? ¡Stance es lo MÁXIMO! What is Cycle Zombies exactly? When did you guys (un)associated under this name and built this big family? First and foremost, CZ is a family. We make clothes, build bikes, skate and surf, but its core is the brotherhood we share. It’s our lives built on having fun and doing what we love. Surfing, skateboarding, building and riding bikes, they’re all quintessential parts of feeling and being free, do you think that’s what makes your environment a creative one linked to art and photography? Yes. All of those things add a creative spin on life. Those activities naturally cause you to look at the things as a place of opportunity. Wether it’s a plain old walkway and you think ‘how can I skate this spot?’ or going through the swap meet and seeing something that you can add to your bike that isn’t a bike part. It’s about making something more out of every day life Stance supports you guys unconditionally in everything you do, how is your relationship with the brand? Stance RULES! We’re so stoked to be a part of the family since day one. Its not only the travels and fun stuff we get to do with them, but the socks are pretty much the best thing ever. Stance is hosting our next party at their headquarters this weekend, June 20th. There will be food, drinks, music, skate, bikes and of course, the family… not much more needed than that. Es espectacular y nosotros estamos muy emocionados con el hecho de que forme parte del evento ¡Va a ser muy divertido! ¿Qué os ha parecido el Wheels & Waves? ¿Qué habéis estado haciendo por aquí y por allá? El Wheels & Waves ha estado increíble. Me ha parecido genial que el espectáculo se haya desarrollado por toda la ciudad, incorporando las salidas en moto como parte del show. Nos ha emocionado mucho formar parte del festival y ya estamos esperando al próximo año. ¿De qué moto que hayáis construido últimamente os sentís especialmente orgullosos? De la Panhead modelo 1949 de Big Scott. La acaba de terminar para el Born Free Show y definitivamente se lleva el pastel. Si no la habéis visto revisad el blog, ¡es una belleza! ¿Cómo fue la reciente gira que habéis realizado por Japón? Japón estuvo genial. Siempre nos tratan tan bien allí. Esperamos grandes cosas procedentes de la tierra del sol naciente para el futuro próximo. Me encantan las fotos de Drew Martin, ¿trabajáis con él muy a menudo? Drew es un buen amigo al que conocemos desde hace como diez años. Es un gran tipo y un excelente fotógrafo con el cual trabajamos siempre que podemos. Nuestro próximo monotema es Silencio, ¿cuándo apreciáis el silencio y cuando el ruido? Ruido, ruido, ruido a todas horas, todos los días hasta la hora de dormir.

Wheels and Waves was awesome. I thought it was so cool that the show took place all over the city and really incorporated the actual riding of motorcycles into the show. We were stoked to be a part of it and are already looking forward to next year! Which motorbike you built lately makes you feel especially proud? Japan was great. They’re always so good to us out there. We’re looking forward to some great things in the near future in the land of the rising sun. I love Drew Martin’s pictures; do you work with him often? Drew is a good friend of ours that we go back about 10 years with.
