TECH INNOVATION

AN AVID PARTICIPANT IN EQUITY, BPA ALONGSIDE AN INVESTOR IN A GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT APP…

Technology is transforming the way we live, work, and interact with others. While tremendous strides have been made in the last decade, COVID-19 pushed it to the next level. Automation has been a gamechanger, reinventing tedious tasks, boosting accessibility to services, and enhancing efficiency, all while raising total work-value and performance. Online services have been a boon across the landscape, especially in rural settings, for procurement, reducing mobility, learning, and accessing capabilities through the Confederation of International Commission. Technology is also causing the business world to become more ecologically sound. Sustainability has evolved from a phrase to a driving force for the environment, economy, and society. As a result, committing to sustainable practices has grown critical as the negative effects of climate change become more visible and foreboding, with the potential to disrupt everything from supply chains to profitability. To summarize, technology is enhancing people’s lives, exposing them to the rest of the world and making them more ecologically conscious.

REWORKING ON PREVAILING HURDLES Although Tech Innovation Global Inc. was founded with a glorious purpose, it hasn’t been a smooth quest. One challenge, in particular, was the declining ratio of women entrepreneurs in 2020. According to statistics, women-led enterprises make more revenue overall — more than twice as much for every dollar invested. Also, women-led startups have made contributions to society and research while creating healthy workplace cultures. Even though women entrepreneurs have created waves, it’s often challenging to enter established networks and how many investors stick to pattern-matching behaviors and tech companies run by men. Venture capital firms have approximately 12% of decisionmakers as women, and many don’t even have female partners. Eventually, the inequality affects the overall employment scenario for women.

The computer company was eventually bought up by Dell and the investment firm Silver Lake Partners in 2013 for close to $25 billion. He supervised the $67 billion acquisition of EMC by Dell in 2016, which at the time was the biggest tech deal ever. • In addition to serving on the executive committee of the International Business Council, the governing board of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, and the U.S. Business Council, he has been a member of the U.S. President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

GOAL

The goal of Dell’s business strategy was to increase market share for personal computers by lowering prices, speeding up delivery, and offering top-notch customer support. To do this, he focused on direct sales outside of the typical retail venues and hired experienced executives to occupy positions in the business and serve as personal mentors. In 1992, Dell entered Fortune magazine’s list of the top 500 companies in the world, making him the youngest CEO in history to achieve this feat. Dell described the history of the firm’s growth in his book Direct from Dell: Ideas That Revolutionized an Industry (1999), which also offered strategies that could be used by any organisation.

• He has been awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” award by Inc. magazine (at age 24)

INITIAL CAREER In 1984, Dell, then a student at the University of Texas in Austin, invested $1,000 to launch his computer company, which was first known as PCs Limited. By the second semester of his first year, Dell had sold PCs worth $80,000 in total. At the age of 19, he left college to focus entirely on running his business, which finally went public in 1988. When the product line was expanded to include items other than personal computers, PCs Limited eventually changed its name to the Dell Computer Corporation, and then to Dell Inc.

• Worth magazine named him “Top CEO in American Business,” while Financial World, Industry Week, and Chief Executive magazines named him “CEO of the Year.”

EARLY LIFE Dell was born to a Jewish family in Houston in 1965. His parents were Alexander Dell, an orthodontist, and Lorraine Charlotte (née Langfan), a stockbroker. Houston’s Herod Elementary School was the name of his school. He eventually enrolled in Memorial High School. He applied to take a high school equivalency exam when he was eight years old in an effort to start his career right away. Early in his adolescence, he bought equities and precious metals using the money he earned from part-time work. At the age of seven, Dell bought his first calculator, and in his junior year of high school, he used a teletype machine. He obtained his first computer, an Apple II, at the age of 15, after experimenting with computers at Radio Shack. He immediately disassembled the machine to see how it operated. Dell worked the summers selling Houston Post subscriptions while attending Memorial High School in Houston. Dell enrolled in pre-med at the University of Texas in 1983 because his parents wanted him to become a doctor and he did so to appease them. Dell made $18,000 that summer by continuing to learn how to target particular communities for newspaper subscriptions rather than merely making cold calls.

The term motorable road is used to refer to a roadway that is accessible by motor vehicle. It is a road that can be driven on (a motorable road) using any motor vehicle. The highest motor able road is a road or trail used for travel by land vehicles such as cars, trucks, or motorcycles. Although an ordinary road can be used at any point on its length regardless of altitude, a mo torable pass or passable is one where the slope is no more than 10%, that is, it climbs at most 100m over 1000 meters horizontal.

The highest motorable road of the world, Umlingla pass or Um ling La, linking Chisumle and Demchok villages, was complet ed and inaugurated by BRO in 2017. Umling La pass is approx imately 105 kilometers from Hanle Village and 235 kilometers from Leh. A route from Hanle to Photi La Pass and Photile Village is pos sible (57 km). Follow the trail from Photile Village to Umlinga La, and pass for about 50 kilometers at an elevation of 19300 feet. You will cross two bridges/water crossings from Photile Village to Umlingla Pass. Another route from Ukdungle village exists. But it is mostly dirt with only a few kilometers of asphalt.

Where is the World's highest motorable road located?

Umling La or Umlingla Pass is India's world's highest motor able road; the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed the construction of India's and the world's highest motorable road, breaking Bolivia's previous record. This route runs across Eastern Ladakh's Umlingla Pass, which is built at the height of 19300 feet. This 52-kilometer black-topped road will connect numerous significant settlements in Eastern Ladakh's Chumar area. According to sources, the road was built significantly high er than the Siachen Glacier (17700 feet) and the Khardung La Pass (17582 feet) near Leh. With this, India has broken Bolivia's 18953-foot road record.

Anyone who appreciates adventure, travel, visiting new areas, or, for that matter, motorcycling will be piqued by the mere thought of traveling to the highest motorable road. The highest motorable road in the world is an extraordinary place; there is nothing quite like standing at the top of a world-class motorbike ride that gets you closer to nature and gives you the sen sation of being at one with the machine. I hope this article will give you an idea of what the highest motorable road entails, where the world’s highest motorable road is located, and also know about the highest motorable road in the world.

Highest Motorable road in the world

1. Umling La or Umlingla Pass — 5,883 m (19,300 ft.)

The topographical definition of a motorable pass is that it has a minimum of 30m for the lowest point under any portion of the route with a roadway in all directions.

What is the Highest Motorable Road?

Photi La pass, located in India's Ladakh region at an altitude of 5,524 meters (18,124 feet), is the most recent unknown entry into the world's highest motorable passes or roads. Photi La is about 30 kilometers from Hanle, a breathtakingly beautiful spot in Ladakh's Changthang region, and about 30 kilometers from Tso Moriri Lake. Ladakh's Changthang area is where you can find it. Hanle, a small village known for its observatory, is about 30 kilometers from Photi La. If you continue after cross ing the pass, you will arrive at Umling La via the same route.

8. Kaksang La – 5,438 m (17,841 ft.)

Dzongkha La, also known as Donkin Pass, is the seventh-high est pass in the world, connecting Sikkim, India, and Tibet at the height of 5,486 meters (17,999 feet). This pass is located in North Sikkim, near Tso Lhamo Lake, also known as Chol amu Lake (the world's 14th highest lake). Along with glacial lake Khangchung and Gurudongmar Lake, Tso Lhamo Lake, also known as Cholamu Lake, is one of the Teesta River's three sources. The Dzongkha La or Donkia La Pass is about 10-12 kilometers away. The Indian Army maintains control of the pass. A special permit is required to visit this mountain pass. Permits, like the Mana Pass permit, are challenging to obtain. It's all due to the pass's proximity to Tibet's border.

3. Marsimek La or Marsimik La – 5,582 m (18,313 ft.)

Ladakh is also home to the highest motorable roads in the world. Marsimek La, also known as Marsimik La, stands at 5,582 meters above sea level (18,314 ft). The elevation claimed by BRO is 5,777 meters (18,953 feet), but the new measurement is correct. The Chang-Chemno Range, east of Leh, is home to this mountain. Sonam Paljore, a former Everest, oversaw the construction of the road in 1983. Marsimik La is just 4 kilome ters west of the Indo-China border. China has also constructed a six-lane highway that stretches to the frame, only 10 kilo meters beyond the pass. After obtaining permission from the Deputy Commissioner's office in Leh, civilians can use the pass. To get to the pass, you must travel via Pangong Lake, about 20 kilometers away. The road is primarily a dirt path, but it is undoubtedly motorable. SUVs and motorcycles have been seen driving up to the pass, and people have also suc cessfully traveled on their rudimentary scooters.

6. Photi La – 5,524m (18,124 ft.)

10. Chang La – 5,360 m (17,586 ft.) Most of you will be surprised to learn that the answer is a resounding YES! Chang La is higher than Khardung La, and Chang La is the tenth highest motorable road of the world. It is situated at 5,360 meters in Ladakh (17,586 feet). You'll pass through Chang La on your way from Leh to the stunning Pangong Lake. On the summit, there is a temple dedicated to Changla Baba. Locals recommend that you seek his blessings before embarking on your journey because the temple is dec orated with colorful Tibetan flags. The Indian Army guards and maintains the pass, and visiting Chang La requires an ILP. Thousands of tourists visit Ladakh each year to see Chang La. A few brave souls only attempt the Chang La route from Leh to Pangong. Don't you think cycling over one of the highest passes would be thrilling?

4. Semo La – 5,565 m (18,258 ft.)

Finally, there's Khardung La, the region's most well-known and divisive pass. In a Google search for the world's highest motorable pass, Khardung La is likely to come up. This Lada kh pass is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations and undoubtedly one of the most photographed. Every visitor to Khardung La snaps a photo in front of the 18,380-foot-tall sign. Don't be fooled by the internet or billboards. This is the world's tenth highest motorable pass. At 5,359 meters above sea level, Khardung La is the highest point in Bhutan (17,582 ft). It runs from Leh to Siachen Base Camp and the Nubra Val ley. So, avoid the magnets and keychains commemorating the world's highest pass the next time you visit Khardung La. Al ternatively, you could buy them all for the sake of having fun!

Next on the list is the "Kaksang La" pass, located in the Changthang region of Ladakh at an altitude of 5,438 meters (17,841 feet). It appears on the route from Mahe to Nama –Chusul – Pangong Tso when ascending from Mahe ahead of Chumathang near Tso Moriri via Hora La Pass. There are two gorgeous lakes called Yaye Tso and Mirpal Tso on the way from Mahe to Nama – Chusul – Pangong Tso that will take your breath away just by looking at them. To visit the Nama – Chusul region in Ladakh, you'll need an Inner Line Permit, but Indian nationals have a better chance of getting one. Please remember that the Army may refuse to let you travel on this route, even if you have permits, and may send you back from the checkpoint if they believe it is unsafe for civilians to con tinue.

7. Dongkha La or Donkia La Pass – 5,486 m (17,999 ft.)

Semo La, the world's fourth- highest motorable road and is located at an elevation of 5,565 meters in central Tibet (18,258 feet). It was supposed to be the world's highest motorable pass for many years. People believe the roads to Umling La and Marsimik La are all gravel, but Semo La has a proper metaled road. In late 2015, 206 Provincial Road (S206) that leads to the top was paved. The path leads to the Changthang region of Tibet. When the Southern route is unusable due to mud, this path is used to reach Western Tibet and Mount Kailash.

9. Khardung La – 5,359 m or (17, 582 ft.)

The Mana Pass in Uttarakhand is the world's fifth-highest motorable pass. It is located on the border of India and Tibet. The pass's proper height is now disputed, as it is with all oth er access. Mana Pass is located at an altitude of 5,545 meters (18,192 ft). However, on the Indian side, a well-graded grav el-dirt road rises to 5,610 meters (18,406 feet), making it India's second-highest motorable road and the world's third-highest motorable road. This will be fourth on the list because we are counting the highest motorable passes (not the highest mo torable routes). The route is terrific because it passes through the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve in the Zanskar mountain range. You'll also live by Deo Taal, which is a sacred lake. Ex cept for September, the lake, the source of the mythical Saras wati River, remains frozen all year.

5. Mana Pass – 5,610 m (18,406 ft.)

2. Road to Uturuncu – 5,777 m (18,953 ft.) Until India opened up Umlingla, the road to Uturuncu above col in Potosi, Bolivia, was considered the highest motorable road of the world at a staggering altitude of 5,777 meters or 18953 feet. This route has drawn cyclists from all over the world, and it is unquestionably the world's highest cyclable road. The road was built to help people get to a sulfur mine. Suppose you live in India and have visited the high villages of Ladakh and Spiti. In that case, you'll notice that the roads to Uturuncu are mainly driven by locals and tourists who are used to driving in such trans-Himalayan terrains.

“The industry needs to work aggressively on the skilling requirements if we talk about the demographic dividend. There are exemplary opportunities to scale and innovate across the space where we need to establish over 100 large sized construction contracting organizations of massive impact. So, I would assert that rather than talking about the demographic dividend vocally, it is time to avidly work up leaving our future generations with such skill-sets that would shape a sustainable future for them. WORK FROM HOME: 1. AGILITY AND FLEXIBILITY -

6. CONVENIENCE

4. IMPROVED EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND WELL-BEINGWorking from home reduces the need for your staff to endure a difficult commute to work. Saving time like this allows employees to get more sleep, spend more time with family, exercise, or prepare better meals.

5. ADVANTAGESFINANCIALEmployers get the savings on office space, supplies, electricity expenses, and other amenities. Staff may also get benefitted from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) tax relief for working from home.

It’s possible that some of your employees spend a lot of time visiting clients and aren’t always in the office. It can be more convenient for them to base themselves at home, which also results in further time and money savings.

WHICH ONE IS BETTER, Working Remotely or Working from an Office?

The world saw the horror of Covid-19 pandemic which forced every company, small or big, to get work from their employees from their homes. This led to experimentation with work style as most people found ‘work from home’ more convenient and flexible. The employees could complete their work while staying with their loved ones. They could fix their own schedule and discipline as per their likings. However, ‘work from home’ brought its own challenges with it. Even though it was saving commuting time, it was also demanding more discipline and self-motivation. Effective communication which is a crucial part of any organisation was also missing. These challenges brought up a battle: Work from home vs work from office, which one is better? Let’s discuss it.

2. EMPLOYEE RETENTION HAS IMPROVEDWorking from home can help retain employees since the flexibility allows them to meet childcare obligations, cut their travel, and fit their work around their personal lives. Employee loyalty may be considerably increased if employers give them the option to work from home because it improves their trust in them.

Working from home allows you greater agility and flexibility in work arrangements. Now that they are no longer confined to an office, workers may be more prepared and better suited to work flexible hours, including earlier or later in the day or even on weekends. This can allow you to satisfy specific company demands, such as trading with clients residing in different time zone countries.

3. PRODUCTIVITY GAINSBecause there are less interruptions than would generally occur in an office environment working from home, on the other hand, provides a calmer setting that can encourage more concentrated work. You may also discover that some employees would like to expand their paid contractual hours as they save commuting time.

3. BUSINESS CULTURE

The calculated risk of losing company culture is one of the main reasons Google is enticing staff to return to the office. Making a statement like this when dealing with a tech giant where remote work is a very possible option should make all corporate leaders think twice. It takes a lot of work to create culture, and its loss might hamper everything from innovation and progress to economic success.

1. IMPROVED TIME MANAGEMENT

WORK FROM OFFICE:

8. IT’S SIMPLER THANKS TO TECHNOLOGY: Staff members can now stay linked to the office at all times thanks to the internet. Communication between co-workers and teams has become easier thanks to tools like Zoom, which occasionally can result in meetings that are more productive and efficient.

4. PRODUCTIVITY

WHICH ONE IS BETTER?? Finding a balance between the two kinds of work is crucial for the future. The majority of businesses intend to break up the work week into days as the pandemic comes to a conclusion. They can take advantage of the advantages of both work settings by working from home on certain days of the week and going into the office on other days. On days when staff are in the office, brainstorming sessions and meetings can be held, and ideas can be put into action remotely. This results in a more favourable work-life balance that is advantageous to both businesses and employees and creates the best framework for work optimization in the future.

FAQs Q.1- WHICH ONE IS BETTER: WORK FROM HOME OR OFFICE? Over the past few months, a number of studies revealed that working remotely increases productivity more than working in an office environment. People who work from home are generally 10 minutes less unproductive each day, work one additional day per week, and are 47% more productive.

Q.3- WHY IS WORK FROM HOME NOT GOOD? Working from home lacks a work environment. An employee’s life can become challenging due to a lack of motivation, which can also have a negative impact on productivity. Although self-motivation can be effective to some extent, it is not always sufficient to keep a man going. The employment of external motivation is then necessary in this situation.

2. NETWORKING POSSIBILITIES

The office has a proper structure, which is dreadfully lacking in a work from home setting. Set work hours, a clear routine, or even a distinct workspace and desk can all help with the transition and satisfy the need for order. The time available to do chores may seem boundless when working from home. The workplace offers more enforceable and widely accepted deadlines and expectations, which can increase productivity.

35 www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 5 | Special Edition August 2022 INDIA

Collaboration fosters innovation, so there is power in togetherness that goes beyond just group decision-making. It has been challenging, and occasionally impossible, to duplicate this through virtual meetings. People’s capacity to form deep connections that lead to invention is restored by working in an office.

For a while, it appeared that the verdict on remote workers’ productivity was still out because of the conflicting findings of the data that was available. When it comes to making decisions based on priorities, it’s critical for employees to know who they are. For many people, working from home is incredibly distracting and full of difficulties. Returning to work can lift the burden of self-discipline and give readymade, simpler structures for completing to-do lists.

7. WORK-LIFEIMPROVEDBALANCE By working from home, employees can have a better work-life balance. For example, staff who would have had to commute can now utilise that time for themselves, laying the groundwork for a better worklife balance. Additionally, employees are able to incorporate domestic tasks into their schedules, providing them extra time in the evenings for leisure activities like loading or unloading the dishwasher or cooking lunch.

Q.2- WHY IS WORKING IN THE OFFICE BETTER THAN HOME? People’s networks significantly reduce the people they only need to deal with when working from home, especially if they do so for an extended period of time. Employees can connect with folks they might not normally interact with by being in the office.

The Indian agri-warehousing sector is flourishing with the government actively incentivising private investments in warehousing. Inclusion of agriwarehousing under priority sector lending, subsidy schemes, tax sops and the Warehousing Act have gone a long way in promoting the sector. Business Connect has been a great appreciator of companies that sets new examples in the corporate world with their innovative solutions. We have a fabulous history of featuring various leading business ventures and their inspiring leadership-and here again we are back with another exclusive edition of our magazine that is devoted to inspiring the world with the success tale of leading companies in the market. Our editorial team had an interesting and joyful session with the leadership panel of Go Green Warehouses. Co-founder and Executive Director of the company, Santosh Sahu shared a glimpse of the company portfolio and revealed some untold facts

about his entrepreneurial journey so far. We truly hope and desire that this fascinating read will add some extra value to the lives of our global readerships and will encourage them to break the barriers and chase their dreams.

COMPANY PORTFOLIO Introducing us to the unique business model of the company, Santosh asserts, “We solve the prime issues of our clients from farm to fork sector. So, basically, on one hand, it is serving the farmers, who are the producers of the grains, and then on the side, it also looks into the consumer’s side like retail and processor and exporter and importer, etc., who are end-users of commodities. Go Green is offering services agro warehousing, commodity-backed financing facilitation through banks and NBFCs, quality essaying and certification, storage Inspection and audit services whatever asset management is required from farm to fork. We are trying to get up to entire services under one roof for the Agri value chain.

SETTING NEW STANDARDS IN THE WAREHOUSING DOMAIN WITH TECH-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS GO GREEN WAREHOUSES

EDGE OVER OTHERS

“The secret of the market is very basic, if you see the Indian market is very big. I don’t think competition is there, it’s time to see the opportunity to take and excel on our own. So, it is in the mind itself. In India, 300 million metric ton of production of food grain is there and we have only 130 metric metric ton of agri warehouse is there. So, I think if you focus on yourself and your team then there is a clear path to growth in the same way. As far as Warehouse receipt finance, the latent potential is more than Rs. 2 Lakh Cr where as all WSPs put together are not able to reach to Rs. 50,000 Cr mark also in any of the previous years. So the potential is huge. I don’t think competition is there it is only how you manage your team as well as underlying assets well to grow smoothly that is very important.”-Santosh says.

Moreover, Santosh has been initially working with Godrej Aaadhaar, Reliance Retail, and Spencer’s Retail, which is on the consumer side. So, initially, he spent around 10 years in that sector and then worked in Warehousing & logistics domain for the next 10 years before starting Gogreen. So, Maulik Bhai Shah has registered this company in 2012, and he met me in 2018 to discuss cofounding the venture to enter into the Agri Warehousing space, and the idea of this venture popped up. I truly believe that it is a leader who has to take a lot of pain to motivate the employees to keep the business successful. We thought trust and transparency is the key area which was missing in the Industry and let us make the Organization around the problem by being a trustworthy and reliable service provider in the space. We kicked started the process in that year 2018 itself and initially, we planned to confine ourselves to some specific geography of the country, but the Customers have shown tremendous response to the new venture and now we are there in 25 states. At present, we are operating in more than 400+ locations and with more than 3500 clients.”

network. So, there are three aspects in the business - number one, we are responsible for a quality and quantity of the goods, we are managing agri commodities , it is not just like non-agro or any FMCG good, which varies in quality and quantity bag to bag and grain to grain. The quality of the grains is very important as these are live entity where grains have an embryo which continuously respires and is live. So if you are not opening the warehouse on daily basis, then the grains quality will deteriorate to have huge losses in terms of value of the commodity. So, we try to follow through our automatic monitoring system. We are monitoring the opening and closing of warehouses on daily basis to ensure the grains are OK and also monitoring security system via central control room with CCTV surveillance. We have also got AI/ML based Quality assaying instrument for fast results which can give you results instantly within 30 seconds earlier.”

In addition, if we talk about the mission and vision behind this super-growing venture, the company heads forward with a prime vision to be the largest supporter of the farmers and the number one in the agri-warehousing space in India. Through their creative solutions, the Go Green team is working to increase the reach of farmers as well as FPOs to source the best quality products and simultaneously trying to increase the number of buyer’s connections to their warehouse to create market linkage of agro products.

37 www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 5 | Special Edition August 2022 INDIA

TRANSFORMING THE WORLD OF WAREHOUSING AND LOGISTICS UNDER ONE ROOF We asked the team to explain their role in assisting the logistics arena, the ED affirms, “We are trying to make a lot of people aware of warehousing-based businesses. Because a warehouse is not a warehouse for business, but it’s a place where everybody is connected starting from farmers to aggregators to processors and exporters. So, somebody has to have a warehouse to store the goods so that they’re trying to convert their commodities into asset class through this warehousing to get finance against it-and then they are doing spread and they are maximizing the return.

BOND WITH TECH Santosh says, “Technology is very much essential because we are operating 1200+ warehouses and we do spread across 25 states with more than Rs. 8000 crore worth of value of commodities in our warehouses in India. Here comes the importance of technology to manage such big volume of business with real time information and transaction at every place of your supply chain

ERM framework should enable forward-looking strategic risk insights to track mitigation plans and effectiveness. It requires setting limits, analysis of data, and working on the probability of occurrence to get a quantified score viz-a-viz the threshold limits. That is where quantitative key risk indicators (KRIs) come into play. Key Risk Indicators are like an early warning system for an Organisation. For each top risk, quantitative KRIs are defined to help anticipate when a risk might occur. Risk owners will be able to determine when and how to escalate risks for corrective discussions and actions. KRIs serves as the triggers to support actionable risk monitoring.

STRATEGIES FOR EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION

WORDS OF WISDOM “Never ever give up on any business idea or strategy too soon. There may be difficult times, and quitting is the simplest course of action, but if we persevere through the difficult times, we will win one day. Being in business is more essential than not being in business.” – Ayuksha Singh. Ayuksha Singh Chief executive officer

The current economic climate has been challenging for everyone in terms of financial insecurities and having a sustainable business model. Given this, Ayuksha Singh offers to his coworkers to keep the business with minimal shrinkages, strict process controls, and no room for efficiency leaks. Whether COVID or other economic issues cause business crises will continue to occur. However, quitting your business will never be a solution. Instead, it would help if you considered how to stay in business through difficult times so that you may recover as soon as circumstances turn around.

Another lady at the helm is Garima Jain, the Senior Manager of Training, Learning & Development. She has over 15 years of experience working for various companies, including Airtel, Hero Group, Cox, and Kings. She has an MBA in HRM and is a learning and development specialist. She specialises in process reengineering, quality control, and training.

The company has a clear and well-defined plan. It currently operates out of Rajasthan and primarily serves clients in that state. By the end of the year, Impetus plans to launch operations in two additional States, Gujarat, and MP, and by the end of 2023, it hopes to have 300+ employees across India.

INITIAL DAYS: THE TALE OF INCEPTION & TEAM BUILDING

INSIGHTS ON THE LATEST TECH ADVANCEMENTS

FUTURE ENDEAVOURS

Having a keen eye for detail and utilising technology to improve data analytics, Excellent client satisfaction, working as a method to the madness, and analysis solely based on data points have always been Impetus’s strong suits.

The brain behind the idea, Ayuksha Singh, is a human resource (HR) professional with more than 12 years of diversified work experience. The leading lady has experience in all areas of HR, including employee engagement, recruitment, management transformation, statutory compliances, and hospital CRM management. She is successfully leading Impetus in the critical position of CEO.

Talking about the inception story of Impetus Consulting, the visionary state, – “Due to my background in HR and business transformation, I recognised a need for hospitals to have a one-stop solution that could elevate the patient experience to a new level and eventually improve business performance. The fact that there was much room for improvement in how patient care, appointment management, and patient feedback were done struck me during my repeated travels to hospitals for my parents’ appointments. Since that day, the concept made sense from the point of view of the business model, and after three months of arduous effort and cold calling, with CK Birla Hospital as the first client, there has been no turning back.”

DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP Ayuksha Singh – Founder and CEO

Arpit Soni – Operational Head Arphit Soni is actively contributing to the efficient management of Impetus Consulting’s business operations. He offers a lot of operational excellence to the team as a management professional with more than 10 years of experience in call support operations.

He continued, “I firmly believe that known devils are preferable to unknown angels, so I’ve admitted that 30% of my team and 80% of the core management team are individuals with whom I have previously worked directly or indirectly. However, hiring these individuals comes at a premium because they expect you to look out for them while they leave their current stable jobs for your fewer stable ones. The learning curve is modest, but they exact a high price.”

Talking about their employee motivation strategies, Ayuksha Singh apprised, “Being from an HR background, employee engagement has always been my major area of interest,” when speaking about their employee incentive tactics. While money is the primary motivator for employees, if you can provide them two other reasons to enjoy their work and money, your job is done. Even though we are a small, developing company with limited resources, our budgets allow for quarterly offsites, potluck lunches, and other employee benefits like paternity leaves and the ability to work from home during a woman’s menstrual cycle.

Today’s workforce must adapt to the newest technology breakthroughs; the team is striving to introduce chatbots in hospital CRM support to enable automation. HR and CRM are no longer considered old-fashioned legacy labour types. The correct data sets are being gathered with a lot of artificial intelligence simultaneously to comprehend the client’s attitude, health history pattern, and many other things.

ENSURING BETTER OUTCOMES DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

At the Cyber Roundup event at the Gigafactory Texas, the CEO went into great detail regarding Tesla’s vehicle manufacturing facilities. He stated that two other Tesla factories, the Gigafac tory Berlin-Brandenburg and the Gigafactory Texas, both of which produce the Model Y, have opened this year. However, the Model Y, which is powered by 4680 battery cells stacked in structural groups, is created by the Gigafactory Texas plant only. The north-eastern United States, India, and Indonesia have all been mentioned as potential locations for additional Tesla man ufacturing. LAUNCHES

Tesla Inc. shareholders authorised a three-for-one stock split on Thursday in a bid to attract even more regular investors after a rapid rise since late May. Although the Austin, Texas-based company did not immediately announce when it will take ef fect, the split will bring Tesla’s share price down to about $300. On March 28, Tesla first tweeted about their strategy. The four-month gap between the announcement and voting is working in the favour of the decision: The Nasdaq 100 Index has increased by about 20% from its low in June thanks to a rally in growth firms, while Tesla has outperformed both the techheavy index and the more general S&P 500 Index, rising by al most 50% since its low in late May. As of 6:34 p.m. in New York, Tesla increased by 0.3% in after-hours trading to $928.55. As of Thursday’s closing, the stock has increased 37 percent since the end of June, continuing its recent upward trend.

New Launches set for 2023 Elon Musk has finally established a robust schedule for Tesla to put the Cybertruck, Roadster, and Tesla Semi into production in 2023 after postponing the introduction of nearly all new ve hicles over the previous five years. Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y are the same models that Tesla has been offWWer ing for a time. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk stated that the company would not introduce a new product in 2022 since it is concen trating on increasing the output of its current automobiles. Both the new Roadster and the Cybertruck have a very preliminary release date of 2023. Musk provided a more precise release date for each of the cars at the Cyber Rodeo event: “Production of Cybertruck is coming next year. We will be in pro duction with Roadster, and with Semi. That’s all coming. This year is all about scaling up and next year there’s going to be a massive wave of new products.”

The globe continued to rotate at a typically faster rate the next year, but no records were broken. A 50-year era of shorter days, however, may be beginning right now, claims Interesting Engineering (IE). It is still unclear what is causing the Earth’s rotation to vary in speed. However, experts speculate that this may be caused by processes in the core’s inner or outer layers, seas, tides, or even shifts in the climate.

As a matter of fact, a leap second has previously been added 27 times to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the fundamental time reference used to govern clocks and time throughout the world.

The Independent claims that the planet’s speed has lately increased. The Earth experienced the shortest month ever in 2020, according to records going back to the 1960s. On July 19 of that year, scientists measured the shortest day ever. The difference between it and a usual 24-hour day was 1.47 milliseconds.

negative leap second may have unfavourable implications for cell phones, computers, and communications networks. The publication cited a Meta blog in its story, which said that while the leap second “primarily benefits scientists and astronomers,” it is a “risky technique that does more harm than good.”

This is due to the fact that the time moves forward from 23:59:59 to 23:59:60 before resetting to 00:00:00. Because of the timestamps on the data storage, a time leap like this might cause programmes to crash and damage data.

A negative leap second would shift the time from 23:59:58 to 00:00:00, according to Meta, and this might have a “devastating effect” on software that uses timers and schedulers. In order to resolve this, according to IE, timekeepers throughout the world may need to add a “drop second”—a negative leap second.

EARTH COMPLETES ITS ROTATION IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS, RECORD FOR SHORTEST DAY AGAIN

BREAKING

www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 5 | Special Edition August 2022 INDIA 52

The “Chandler wobble,” or the shifting of the Earth’s geographic poles across its surface, is another theory put out by certain experts as to why this may be the case. Scientists Nikolay Sidorenkov, Christian Bizouard, and Leonid Zotov use the quiver that is present when a spinning top starts to accelerate or decelerate to explain this phenomenon. According to the Independent, the Earth’s growing spin rate might result in the introduction of negative leap seconds in an effort to maintain the Earth’s orbital speed according to the measurement provided by atomic Theclocks.

You may be surprised to know that our planet earth is breaking its own record of rotation. The earth completed a full spin in 1.59 milliseconds less than its standard 24- hour rotation on July 29.
